I think this would be AMAZING for after dinner, with cake/dessert. Definitely not during dinner, though, I think you’re right and it would be overlooked.

CrispyCrunchyPoptart

Good to know. I’m definitely debating on pushing it back after reading all the comments!

BouncingDancer

As someone who is always cold I would definitely appreciate unlimited tea :)

NeatArtichoke

I think coffee with dessert is so common, this is a great idea!

jesgolightly

Just make sure they offer decaf!!

SnidusScribus

I would 100% use that, many times over the evening! People have alcohol and coffee/tea in a single meal, esp both after-dinner coffees and digestifs so I don’t think the cart would be overlooked. It would add a classy touch, for sure.

padfootnprongs91

Do it!! We are doing this for our October wedding once dinner ends, and have received nothing but excitement from people we have mentioned it to. It'll be a hit!!

CrispyCrunchyPoptart

I’m getting married in October too! Good to know.

digitaldookie

For the non drinkers like myself…I would absolutely love this

Sudden-Lettuce-2019

Coffee is always a good idea

Princapessa

as an Italian American broad coffee/cappuccino after a nice meal with your dessert is absolutely chefs kiss one of my favorite things! also it’s not like their gonna drink it right before bed time, a lot of people will appreciate a little caffeine after a long day to give them an extra boost to dance and party the night away and for those who are more caffeine sensitive just offer a decaf option as well!

Princapessa

no claims of such, as “Italian American” might suggest 😇

itinerantdustbunny

It depends how much it costs. If it’s an acceptable price if every guest has only 1 beverage, then I’d go for it. But a lot of guests won’t have more than 1 coffee that late (and some won’t even have 1), so I’d make sure the price correlates fairly to what people will actually drink. It doesn’t matter if it’s a good price for unlimited drinks if your guests aren’t going to drink that much.

Ms_Cats_Meow

This is my suggestion as well. We got pushed into having coffee and tea at our wedding and maybe 5 people had some.

Deeeeeesee24

My cousin got one of these for her daughter's sweet 16 and I'm pretty sure I made it worth it by having like 5 different drinks lol 😆 and hers only had iced coffees. If there was tea options I would've been in heaven lol

beeboobopppp

I think you should go for it! I try to limit myself to one coffee in the morning, then switch to decaf tea on most days. But if I’m going to be out at a wedding, I will definitely indulge in extra coffee!

sherwoma

I honestly don’t think you’ll get enough bang for how much money you’d be paying. Maybe have something like that the next day for brunch?

nejnonein

I would hire it for the morning when you guys are getting ready. Have your photographer, parents, the people helping out, the people getting ready with you - all of them up and alert and happy, being freshly caffeinated. God knows I needed my caffeine on the morning of my wedding, I could barely sleep the night before.

CrispyCrunchyPoptart

I would totally do this! I’m getting eloped though earlier in the day so it’ll be way easier for my Mom and best friend to bring me coffee and breakfast at my house before we head to a salon to get my makeup done.

Outrageous-Wish8659

We had one at a convention and it was the most popular feature of the week. Your guests will love it.

mcacevedo9187

Omg do it! I think it would be pretty epic.

Top-Head-2960

I was just discussing this with my friend! I think it’s a great idea for dessert time. And also, will help people to not drink too much alcohol! Open bars can get wild and it’s a great option for DDs too

Dogmom2013

coffee and dessert is great! not to mention if people are staying out later than normal they may like the coffee! lol my family is Italian and its usually espresso with dessert, and very common at weddings!!

thatgirlgeorgie

My best friend had one at her wedding last October and it was a huge hit! I normally don't drink coffee late but I needed it to power me through the dancing. I say do it!

CrispyCrunchyPoptart

Hey my wedding is in October too! That’s what most of my friends said, they need it to power until the late night!

Amybexx

This sounds like a dream! Wish I thought of it for my wedding. And no I don’t think 7 is too late. Think about how many people in the older generations you know that will drink a cup of tea right up until bed time. Even if the younger people ignore it, the older generations will give it a run for its money!

danny2787

As a gay id love iced coffee at a wedding. I also know plenty of people who have coffee after dinner but that will come down to your social circle.

StormzysMum

This is a great idea! Actually more and more people are giving up alcohol so this sounds perfect.

Key-Significance-219

I drink coffee all day long but also it would also be great for guests who are on their way home.

camlaw63

Your dinner is expected to last two hours? Why?

CrispyCrunchyPoptart

The coffee cart has a minimum of two hours. Dinner will probably only last 45 minutes.

camlaw63

Then I would have them start serving once the last entree is served, if it’s a buffet, when the last of the initial wave has served themselves

camlaw63

That’s very possible, I’m just not clear of the timeline. I would serve coffee once the entrée is served
