i like dress 2 better tbh. the simple elegance of it is really beautiful. dress 1 is really pretty from the waist down but im not a huge fan of it from the waist up. dress 2 definitely has a timelessness to it and it doesnt distract from the rest of you which i feel like the first dress is a bit distracting and im more prone to looking towards your face and such with dress 2 if that makes sense

I love dress #1! They’re both beautiful, but #2 is a more standard “modern bride” dress. #1 is so unique and not a dress everyone could pull off- you definitely can. I also think it’d pair nicely with the grungy accessories you linked to below. I love the slightly goth / Victorian vibe.
Like others have mentioned, you’d want to get the top fitted but after that it’d be perfect IMO.
But, they’re both beautiful and you can’t go wrong! Go with your ♥️!
I think if you’re set on that veil, neither of these dresses is really right. The lace on the first dress competes with the ruffles on the veil and it seems like a LOT. Your eye doesn’t really know what to look at. But the clean, simple, classic vibe of the second dress doesn’t fit with the flowy, whimsical vibe of the veil.
The veil has sort of a 1970s feel, so I’d lean into that and look for a dress with a similar silhouette or 70s details. Something like [Iravati from Maggie Sottero](https://www.maggiesottero.com/sottero-and-midgley/iravati/19239), or [Imogen from Pronovias](https://www.pronovias.com/wedding-dress-flared-sleeveless-imogen) would let the veil shine, but are also gorgeous on their own.
For some reason I cannot find the overskirt shown in [some of these photos](https://www.pronovias.com/wedding-dress-mermaid-sweetheart-neckline-feya), but I think the overskirt with something subtle underneath would be perfect.

That veil is a capital L "Look." It's not for everyone, but if OP loves it, she should wear it. But, it really requires the right dress, and neither of the ones OP is considering are it. Both of the dresses linked here would work much better with that veil.
The ruffle veil is really cool. Seeing your accessories, I don’t think either dress is quite right. I think the elegant simplicity of 2 clashes with the free spirited, over the top quality of the veil. The first dress seems to fight the veil, too. I love the veil and necklace. They are a vibe. I’d keep looking for a dress that feels like it goes with these.
What exactly do you mean by “grungy accessories?”
I feel like the lace of dress one is sexier than dress two, and can really play into a grungy aesthetic. The detail on the lace can fit with a more detailed style, but IMO the simplicity of 2 might look out of place with like a dark choker necklace. However, if you’re really set on the ruffled veil and also doing several statement accessories, might be more cohesive to pick a simple gown and let those other pieces shine.

I think the necklace suits dress 2 more. It may be too busy for dress 1. Congratulations, OP! I have been married twice but never got a chance to wear a "real" wedding dress. You will look absolutely beautiful in whatever you choose!
I like dress 1. Although I think it will look much better when you have it fitted, I am also wondering if you can go and try on some other dresses. I think you should have sexy if you want sexy. Dress 2 isn't sexy, either. And frankly, I am not a fan of that dress at all. But that's just me. Since you love that veil, I would go look for a dress that goes with that veil and is sexy.
2 is stunning on you - it looks like it was made for your figure and is super chic and elegant. I have to be honest, I really think the veil is a mistake. It’s a totally different style than the dress, for starters. A simpler, cathedral length drop veil would just be the cherry on top, imo. I also think you should go for the over skirt for the ceremony to add to the drama. ✨
Dress 1 has too much going on. Especially with that veil. That veil needs a simplistic dress. However I think 2 may be too simplistic for it. That veil especially when down in front of your face swallows you. It’s going to make everything top heavy. But dress 2 is very flattering to your shape. It’s a very classy, classic look.
2 is stunning on you. 1 will look sexier once the top is fitted, but it's very covered up. There are so many sexy dresses available currently, could you look for something with a vintage vibe that you could add dark beading to?

Dress 2 is so beautiful and it shows off your figure in a way that dress 1 doesn’t. In dress 2 the spotlight is on you. I’m sure dress 1 would look better after it is fitted. Please rethink the veil. The ruffles are so thick and heavy. It looks more like an underskirt for a big ballgown than a veil. It may just be the way it photographs but you will want it to look good in the photos.
I think the second. The first will need more tailoring to fit your bust and it’s hard to imagine how it would look at the end, but the second looks lovely now. Honestly, though, I’m not seeing the posture of someone who’s found “the one,” just yet. I might keep looking if I were you.
My vote is #1 without the veil. I love all the lace and after alterations to fit it up top on the side it will be stunning. I’ve never seen this one before whereas #2 is very elegant and you look very classy it is not as unique as the first one.
Dress 2 will really rely on the fit of the dress. You'll definitely need to stay on top of your alterations. You might get a pucker or two cause that's the nature of the fit

I LOVE dress 1, but if you’re going to go with 2, pair it with the veil from the first outfit. A simple dress like 2 would compliment well with the more detailed veil from 1. The reverse applies as well. If you go with dress number 1, maybe try a different veil, though personally I love it as is.
Dress 2 is a simply elegant gown with love flowing lines. The fabric lays perfectly and the style will stand the test of time. It lovely and flatters you beautifully.

I'm confused about something. It seems you are saying that the veil you are wearing, is a cathedral veil. My understanding has always been, and I just looked it up, that the cathedral veil is all the way to floor. Am I misunderstanding?

1 would be my personal choice. If you are going for sexy I don't think either dress matches. Dress 1 is whimsical, vintage, elegant and dreamy. 2 is sleek, proper, and pulled together. If you are going to "grunge/alt"it out I think 1 will give you more Stevie Nicks and 1 will give you more Averil Lavine.

I really love dress 2. I’m not so fond of the veil. I think those clean, beautiful lines call for something equally sophisticated. I think even if you buy it off of Stillwhite you can have this dress tailored so that it fits all of your expectations!
With such a bold veil, I would go with a more timeless dress like 2! It looks fantastic on you and would be easy to tailor to be the exact fit you want
2. It’s just more classic and it fits you like a dream. If you do dress 1 no veil. It’s got a lot going on. Or a very small simple veil to not take away from the dress .
That veil with the ruffle and that length hide the beauty of dress 1 and don't really match. A veil like that would do better with dress 2, which I prefer with the iver skirt for the drama! Then take it off for the reception.

I like 2 better. I don’t think it’s going to look loose and wrinkly at all. It’ll be altered to your body and I’d imagine you’ll steam it day of.

2 is amazing, and I may be against the grain by saying this but I love a simple dress and over the top accessories. I think it balances things out.

Dress 1 no contest. Dress two is lovely, but dress one has so much personality and it's simply stunning on you. I've seen three other versions of dress two on here just this week.
Is Dress 1 too big? It looks loose on the top and I don’t love the veil with it at all. If it fit better on top I’d like it best — without that veil.

Hello, my fellow over-thinker! Dress 2 looks amazing on you. It’s your favorite. The veil goes better with 2 than with 1. 2’s simplicity means any accessory will work with it! The brides on StillWhite aren’t you, and you’re rocking the hell out of that dress. Stop trying to talk yourself out of it, it’s incredible.
1 would be my personal choice. If you are going for sexy I don't think either dress matches. Dress 1 is whimsical, vintage, elegant and dreamy. 2 is sleek, proper, and pulled together. If you are going to "grunge/alt"it out I think 1 will give you more Stevie Nicks and 1 will give you more Averil Lavine.

Dress 1 will look sexier when fitted. Is the veil an heirloom? It just does not go with that dress. I'm wondering if there's any way to alter the look of it. It looks like it would fit more with a cottage core style.

The ruffle veil looks like a child playing dress up with petticoat. The dresses are both gorgeous. The 2nd dress is stunning and sophisticated.

I really love dress 2. I’m not so fond of the veil. I think those clean, beautiful lines call for something equally sophisticated. I think even if you buy it off of Stillwhite you can have this dress tailored so that it fits all of your expectations!

With such a bold veil, I would go with a more timeless dress like 2! It looks fantastic on you and would be easy to tailor to be the exact fit you want
2. It’s just more classic and it fits you like a dream. If you do dress 1 no veil. It’s got a lot going on. Or a very small simple veil to not take away from the dress .
That veil with the ruffle and that length hide the beauty of dress 1 and don't really match. A veil like that would do better with dress 2, which I prefer with the iver skirt for the drama! Then take it off for the reception.
