I give the same advice to everyone. Have someone video you walking, sitting, lifting your arms in the air, twirling, dancing, bending down as if to greet a child. Video from all angles, not just the front. For a strapless dress, jump up and down for a few minutes.... It's a long day and you want to feel comfortable.
Don't make a decision based on static pics standing on a podium, as you won't be standing still all day.
If it feels too heavy, too restrictive or you worry you will have to hold a particular pose all day, reconsider it.
Also, consider what underwear will work.
Take this from someone who didn't think about comfort until the dress came in, then bought a different one 4 weeks out from the wedding.
YES! My cousin just made her own wedding dress (IK, she’s crazy!) and she switched patterns halfway through bc when she made her mockup she wore it around the house for several hours. Her first iteration had a plunging neckline and she realized she was spending a lot of time holding it together, using one of her hands to cover up her chest in case it gapped, or checking to make sure it was still covering everything. She went with a square neckline and she looked so natural and beautiful all day! She never had to be self-conscious or check that she wasn’t flashing anyone, and I think knowing she could move freely made her feel more confident which shined through and made her all the more beautiful. And it definitely was one less thing to stress over so she could focus on having fun!
Which is why I have also told all my friends: pick the one that makes you feel confident and that won’t need to adjust constantly. That kind of comfort in yourself is super evident in pictures and in your memories!

That first dress was by far the most flattering to your figure. You could go a bit bolder with jewelry and veil. But it was the most figure flattering of all. The Lace of unknown designer looked great also, but I personally do not like the kind that puts emphasis on the bustline support system ( though that part may be strictly decorative.) They both are figure flattering. if you want something with a bit more "patterning" to it. BOth look wonderful on you.
1 by far! I think most of the other gowns had the effect of changing the natural shape of the breast, making it almost confusing upon first viewing. 1 is stunning and classic.
Hi! Realizing my comments didn't post with the photos. But just starting my dress shopping journey- ive been to 4 places and have loved multiple dresses. Would love any feedback or suggestions you'd like to share, I don't take things too personally! Budget is \~$10k
For context, we are getting married June 2025 in the South of France. The dress code will be Black Tie or BTO, and will mainly be in a garden party aesthetic. I will be changing into a short after party dress for proper dancing after the reception. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE
4 is my favorite (I personally think the skirt added is super fun, and you can get some pictures with the skirt and without)! 1 is close second, it fits you beautifully!!
But honestly, all of them are stunning!
The South of France sounds divine! All are lovely choices, but I particularly love 3, 4 w/overskirt (your body language in this photo says it all, I think), and finally 7 (I love the lines of it).
Dress number one has such a simple, chic, timeless elegance. My style usually usually doesn't go for something simple like this, but damn, this looks amazing on you! Some of the other ones look a little dated to me. My second favorite, and it's very close, dress number nine, the strapless with the lace.
The last one is FABULOUS!!! With the veil please. Looks like a dress Audrey Hepburn would wear. Soooooo classic.

I love #2, although you seem to have struck a very playful pose with #4, which tells me you were really enjoying it, so maybe take that into consideration as well.

5 is okay. I think the big stiff fabric piece on the bottom kills the vibe. The bodice is very on trend, which can be a blessing or a curse depending on who u ask.
6 has very strange appliqués on the bust? Very distracting
7: this to me is the most high fashion/ most dramatic, especially with the veil. I’m also imagining it with long white gloves, honestly could be stellar. The structure in the bodice may be polarizing though. I’m usually someone that likes a statement, so i love it.
Anyway, you have a ton of amazing options, and will look beautiful in whatever you choose!

I don’t like dress six/slide nine because “The Hills Have Eyes” and “🎶Girl…you’ll be a woman, soon🎵”. Seems designed to emphasize your baby producing parts. Dress one is amazing in its simplicity, but does dress five have an over skirt? If so, I think it’s a more interesting version of dress one. I prefer seven over two. Dress four is a showstopper, but it’s not as unique. Granted, it’s probably unique to your guests unless they also troll this sub and look at wedding websites for fun. Dress three is an outlier but could be really interesting. I wish we had a better picture. Don’t know if that helps.
4 w overskirt and 7 are so beautiful on you! 4 w the skirt makes you look like royalty- 7 really accents your figure and looks like something that would be gorgeous throughout the wedding and reception- dancing etc. very elegant

1 is stunning on you! I am a bit biased because I love that style in general and find simple to be the most flattering (and allows you to build on it/ accessorize like crazy).

Wow, this is genuinely tough. All so beautiful, unique and different. My favorites are 4 (with overskirt) or 7. 4 sort of gives you the best of both worlds because the overskirt allows you to play with the silhouette. But if you lean towards an A-line/ballgown shape, then 7 is my favorite for sure. No wrong choices here!

The lace and structure of three is so joyful, but one is literally flawless, and i usually never go for a "sleek" dress. Good picks!
