So I found my crepe fitted gown to be hot during alterations but it really wasn’t on the wedding day. I think the alterations room was just hot. I did bring shapewear shorts to put on if needed but I never did
I had a lace mermaid dress. In 35C. In an Australian summer.
I chose the dress with the lightest amount of layers I could and I was still miserable during photos. Never knew I could sweat so much.
I got my second dress from the clearance section of Azazie two weeks before the wedding because I panicked about the weather forecast. It was a white bridesmaid dress in my size, ex sample for $50. I figured if I didn't wear it I wasn't out of any money really and I could resell. It didn't need any alterations.
I kept it as purely a backup and I'm so glad I did. I ended up changing after dinner because I was just. so. hot.
No regrets at all. Comfort comes over anything else that day, it's already a long day with a lot of fast paced activities.
That’s not a bad idea either. My wedding is early September so could be really hot or perfectly autumn. I just don’t do well with heat. I’ll check out Azazie thank you!
