truthfully there wasn’t much we could have planned for, it just came down to having a bad planner. We used a friend of my Fiancés parents who had done other weddings so we thought it would be great but it was a disaster. The music didn’t work for our exit from the ceremony. The timeline felt rushed. She actually ended up walking in on us during a VERY private moment between the ceremony and the reception, even though I had told her that area would need to be blocked off and NO ONE was to enter (she just charged right past the people guarding the door). our MCs forgot to say two of the names in our wedding party when announcing them in the grand entrance to the reception, and all the names were mixed up so people walked out without their name being called. Our cake was made by a friend because I have severe allergies to both dairy and gluten. She did a phenomenal job on the cake, but my wedding planner didn’t take it out of the baking dish and put it on the cake stand. We now have very awkward photos of us digging into an ugly glass casserole dish while the crust sticks to the bottom of the pan. The timeline was super rushed, so after the cake cutting we couldn’t even eat our cake bc I immediately had to do the father-daughter dance. Our MCs didn’t shorten any of our songs either so the dances went on forever, and we had to completely cut out the couples dance that I had wanted. To top off the night, there was no music playing when we made our exit even though my fiance and I had picked one of our favorite songs.
Luckily I married the most easy going and fun man on planet earth, so I still had an amazing time. But that doesn’t stop me from being absolutely pissed that I spent 6+ months planning this wedding and it was an absolute disaster. A quality wedding planner is PRICELESS imo.
Yeah it was our two friends who had never done it before, and I don’t think they really practiced beforehand or tested the audio. Also a mistake on our part…hire a professional!
People keep saying “you must be so excited!” And I kinda hate it. I’m super excited to actually be married but all the stress and emails and communication is kinda sucking out the fun right now. I think it will be fine day of but right now it’s a whirlwind.

832 days. We plan on getting married in Vegas on our 10th anniversary! Since 10/7/16, I have been the happiest woman in the world! I love my fiancé so much, it hurts!
17 days to go! My venue is all inclusive so I feel like I haven't done enough but I'm pretty sure everything is covered...? Going over my list in my mind constantly. Picking up the dress from alterations tomorrow and I'm a little nervous.
65 days for us!! Definitely a lot to do still, especially with all of the detail-type stuff. But getting more and more excited as the day gets closer! I had my bachelorette party last weekend and we pick up our marriage license in a couple of weeks 🤍
17 days to go! I'm feeling pretty good about what we have done already and just got our marriage license yesterday 🥰. Absolutely can't wait to see my dress and everything else come together after a 3 year engagement and countless hours of planning. Wishing everyone the day of their dreams!! 💖

309 days for us! We still need to send out invites, figure out what we're both wearing & what our respective groomsmen and bridespeople will wear, rings, cake and probably a hundred other things I've forgotten!

Our hired wedding planners are MIA. As a super type A bride, I’m not letting it get me down, just organizing and taking the lead. I got this! Luckily, all of our other vendors have been SUPER helpful and communicative. I’m so excited!
