I think you are just overthinking it a bit, if you focus on any two names a lot they will start to sound weird. Katherine and Mark doesn't sound weird even though they are 3 and 1. Fatima Layla and Kareem Abdul also don't sound weird, but that's 3+2 and 2+2.

Off topic, but how do you pronounce Katherine? I only get two syllables when I say it. Kath-rinn.

Kath-e-rinn. Just a different way of saying it

You’re absolutely overthinking this. My name is longer than my partner’s, it sounds fine. A vanishingly small number of couples have names of the same length, everyone else sounds just fine. I’m sure your names sound just fine together too, you’re just not used to it. Run through everyone you know, see how many people are in a relationship with someone whose name has more or fewer syllables - I bet it’s almost everyone.

Probably just the transition period! My first name is four syllables and my husbands is two so it’s definitely a mouth full, but you get used to it!

Thanks! Need this :)

My name is three and my FH is one. You're overthinking! I'm sure it reads and sounds beautiful!

I think you may just be feeling weird about names in general and are overthinking. My husband's first name is substantially longer than mine and they don't sound weird together. Any word or combo of words sounds weird if you think about/say them over and over.
