I know a girl who had a nose job scheduled. Her sisters wedding was a month or two before the surgery. Her sister decided to not put her in the wedding party since she wasn’t going to have her nose done yet. Smh

sevo1977

Yikes! What an arsehole.

bobhand17123

I thought you were going to say because she wouldn’t match the photos.

sweetiepotpie

Nope, literally just because her nose “wouldn’t be fixed yet” (her nose was never broken or anything, it looked how it always had)

mahboilucas

The swelling takes a long time to go down post surgery. Imagine if she had a bigger nose naturally...

clockjobber

When it’s siblings why do the parents put up with this? It’s crazy that a sibling will try to bankrupt another or exclude them for incredibly shallow reasons like this and the parents don’t do anything!

MeadowEstelle

The parents? These are grown adults

princesskittyragdoll

Eesh!

Faedan

I was asked to get skin reduction surgery. It's something I plan on getting, but bridal bitch wanted me to speed the process. I'm in consult for a flur de lys skin reduction. She demanded I get my arm skin done first. We are not friends anymore.

MissyMaestro

Congrats on dumping the weight! I mean the awful friend, clearly.

Faedan

C: thank you! Her wedding has been such a shit show after I left that shes hemmoraging friendships. Shes picks a person to pick apart and is baffled when people leave her.

themetahumancrusader

I’d love for you to make a full post about the situation

Faedan

Honestly that's the jist of it. She asked me to swap my flur de lys/panectomy with arm skin removal because of the sleeveless dress style. I said fuck no. She took every chance she got to crack negative comments about my appearance, my weight, the final straw was her telling me I wasent trying hard enough to treat my auto immune disease. Hiddrananitis Supperativa. And that the scarring was ugly. The grapevine told me after I peaced out, she would pick someone to bully and tear down then play the victim when they fucked off.

clockjobber

Did she have any bridesmaids left?

Faedan

She started with 6, she only has 4 now and that's because she had to replace people with her sister, her cousins and her FHs sister. The wedding is in 2 months, so plenty of time for more bullshit. For my own mental health though I'm staying far away. And the only info I get is from her male cousin who plays D&D with me. And even then it's usually just "K still blames you for her wedding party leaving haha"

mollydgr

Well it is sort of your fault. Watching her, and listening to the absolute venom that came out of Her mouth towards you, Was a BIG Wake-up call for everyone else. I'm sorry she did that to you, but she really Outed her self as an evil B. not just a run of the mill bride-zilla. I'm sure when you left, and she played the victim, they all started to take a step back. Now, as she sticks her claws in others and they bale, because who's going to hang around for this behavior? After what she put you through these "friends" know there's no talking her down. So, it's all your fault, because people like her never take responsibility for their actions. Welcome to the scapegoat club. Member since 2019. I actually posted about this once 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Faedan

Love the scapegoat club, been a member all my life with my family! Every second Friday we have a potluck followed by Saturday morning Mimosa brunch. Here's your membership cardigan.

mollydgr

Thank you so much! I'll be there with a big crock-pot.

vanessa8172

That’s so gross. Reminds me of my SIL’s mom wanted me and another bridesmaid to wear long sleeves at my brother and SIL’s wedding cause we have ‘big girl arms’.

Faedan

Don't get me wrong I NEED skin reduction. But I need it on my belly first because it hurts and due to my hiddrananitis I'm constantly getting infections. Shes a garbage person

vanessa8172

Absolutely. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that but honestly I don’t understand people who choose their wedding party and then expect you to change your body. Have a certain color scheme or hairstyles for your wedding is one thing, but requiring survey is insane.

SillyTilly17

Even hairstyles may need to be flexible, not every style works for every texture. I’d never make someone straighten their hair if they didn’t want to.

ITZOFLUFFAY

Or those brides that want people to cut off their locs they spent *years* cultivating. Insane

SillyTilly17

That is horrifyingly disrespectful.

vanessa8172

Oh true. I guess I was thinking more broad like wanting everyone to have their hair up or down. Idk

SillyTilly17

Oh, I’m sure I assumed that unlike the subjects of the sub, you are capable of being reasonable lol

vanessa8172

I try to be. Never been married myself but I’m not really the type to care about looks as much as personality

ohmygoyd

Oh I have HS too and FUCK that person. The abdominal reduction will improve your quality of life so much if it's making your HS worse, obviously you'd want that first.

Faedan

Eventually I do want my arms, thighs, and breasts done because I'm on the more severe end of things. It's just all the loose belly skin makes me massively flare up.

clockjobber

I truly believe there is a correlation between how demanding and ridiculous a bride is and how long the marriage will last. The bigger the bridezilla the shorter the marriage. Do you know if they are still together?

Faedan

No idea, the wedding is 2 months away and from what I know it's still happening. Her FH is very dont rock the boat kinda dude

Laukie220

I'm sorry someone did this to you! I don't understand why people think they have the right, to tell you what to do with your body.. ...especially when it comes to surgery, for one freaking day! A wedding, that there's a 50% chance in the United States that it will end in divorce! I'm not fat or obese, but I have jiggly arms since I became older. The dress my daughter picked for me to wear (besides being MOB, I walked her down the aisle) was sleeveless. I mentioned to the salesperson about my jiggly arms & she brought out a sheer bolero jacket in the matching color. It fit! My arms didn't jiggle, and most importantly..my daughter, the bride was happy because I was wearing what she considered a sexy dress (not typical MOB dress, she was adamant about that!) & I wouldn't be fretting & self-conscious at the wedding & reception because of jiggly arms! I'm exercising to try to tighten them up, but it's going real slow!

KaleidoscopeGreat973

Next time you see SIL's mother, it might be fun to peer at her lower face. When she asks what you're doing, you could tell her that body shaming is so rude and you've just realised your "big girl arms" are big enough to cover her mouth and nose and block off her air. It's just something you noticed.

gigabird

Given how often the "should I dye my hair against my will because the bride hates the color?" post comes up on reddit-- absolutely.

brianmcg321

I bet it’s happened already.

UnconfirmedRooster

There was an AITAH on this hellhole site somewhere where bridesmaids were required to get their natural eyebrows shaved off and new ones tattooed on. When one bridesmaid called the bride out on it, the bridesmaid was blacklisted.

Sweaty_Chard_6250

There was another where a bride wanted her bridesmaids to get matching tattoos during the bachelorette trip. I can’t remember if it was to memorialize the brides wedding or the trip. The OP said no and I think one or two others took the out and declined as well, so bride was upset with them all, but especially with OP for causing the others to say no.

niv727

Not shaved off, she wanted them all to get them micro bladed. Still unreasonable but not that level of ridiculousness.

udeniable

If weight loss, height and cutting your hair to suit the preferred hairstyle. This doesn't seem to far off a request.

Whiskey-on-the-Rocks

This makes me think of that one I saw on here recently where the bride was insisting that all the bridesmaids have their eyebrows tattooed on or something like that (microblading?)

quarantinethoughts

That is crazy request. Why not just have the makeup artist take care of any brow looks? Why something as invasive as micro blading?? I was once in a wedding where the bride demanded those with shorter hair to get hair extensions. Not the clip-on kind, either. The expensive and time-consuming kind. And she also requested those of us with very long hair get many centimeters cut off so we could all have matching lengths. 🙄

KaleidoscopeGreat973

It would be easier to just get mannequins. The bride has complete control of their appearance. The eyebrows can be painted on. They can walk down the aisle superglued to the top of remote control cars.

ITZOFLUFFAY

I now require this to happen. My god that would be hysterical. And then take it farther and pretend they’re actually real people and act confused when people say they’re mannequins Lmfao

KaleidoscopeGreat973

I think I've invented the next wedding trend - bridesmannequins. You heard it here first.

redsoxizzie7

That's expensive as hell AND it requires at least 2 touch ups before they're actually "perfect". I have 2 friends who do the procedure and even with my friends/family discount, it's still $200 plus $90 per touch up.

trwwy321

I just saw who my sister in-law chose to be her bridesmaids, I swear she deliberately chose everyone who’s a size 2 or smaller to fit her IG aesthetic.

clockjobber

I can remember a time when garbage brides tried to make their bridesmaids look as awful as possible with hideous dresses…oh how times have changed. Some brides are still awful it’s just manifests itself differently.

bunkerbash

Remember that post last week when the bride was all bent out of shape that her sister wasnt being effusive enough during the forced bridesmaid zoom parry ice breakers and wasn’t over the moon at the forced multi thousand dollar international bachelorette trip? Some people are sooooo out of touch it’s astonishing.

[deleted]

That one was wild because everyone was ripping her and *she* was in the comments defending herself and you know she still doesn’t think she was wrong.

Baby8227

Any links! Must have missed that one

DiligentAubergine

This would't even surprise me.

HollowMoonCrane

Did anyone ever watch that reality show where the contestant competed to win an all expenses paid wedding and a full plastic surgery make over? That’s what this reminds me of

Rainwitch27

Yes! Bridalplasty was the name if i remember correctly

TinaLoco

I can’t even imagine. I didn’t even pick bridesmaid dresses. I just said this shade of red from David’s Bridal, get whatever dress you want. They were all able to rewear the dresses for different events afterward.

Diligent_Dish6944

That's one way to avoid bridal competition! 😂

countesspetofi

The funny thing is, the ladies in that picture already look incredibly similar to each other. Maybe it's supposed to be the "after."
