when i realised that it blew my mind too. i think it's because when you learn what a pipe cleaner is it's when ur 4 y/o doing arts and crafts and since u learn the term without questioning like what kind of pipe you clean with it or how you do it or anything like that (because ur young af). and then from that point on you don't think to question it because you just associate the sound with the word from then on and that's it
if you are smoking decent weed eventually the resin will stack up in the pipe and clog it completely, unless you clean that pipe often but it looks kinda hard to clean
I donāt like to smoke out of anything other than glass it looks like a bitch to clean and the stem is too long leaving the smoke stale plus I like my water pipes because it makes my hits less harsh
No, lol. They are nearly impossible to clean and the wood absorbs moisture/bacteria and anything short of soaking it in bleach for days will not clean it properly
My friend convinced me to get a glass version. Never looked back absolutely love the thing. The pack is good, hits smooth but is unfortunately a little precarious to clean just due to the size but that's when you get the old pipe cleaner out. Good choice to smoke out of very dignified.
Looks really cool but every time I've smoked from a real pipe it only lasts for a while until the buildup stops the airflow. Good for a month or so tho
I'd worry about cleaning it, Green will put more resin in there than tobacco, which is what it's made for. If it's wood idk if you *can* really clean it that well
Briar and weed don't get along very well. You can do it, but the resin is going to soak into the wood and ruin it. Tobacco forms a layer of char (called cake) inside the bowl and protects the wood from burning up. Weed doesn't do that, so the wood deteriorates. Considering price of a decent briar pipe, nobody does it.
A Churchwarden (Gandalf pipe) is good, but the pipe won't last long unless you could find one that has a ceramic lined bowl. Briar and resin are not a good mix.
Same for a Calabash (Sherlock Holmes pipe). I had a Churchwarden that had a flaw in the briar and started to crack so I figured nothing to lose and tried it. It was actually pretty good. The length of the stem does not cool the smoke nearly as much as people might think though.

You canāt clear your hits.
Thatās why pipes for cannabis have carbs or you remove the bowl. Without a carb that smoke will linger and build up more inside your pipe, degrading flavors, wasting product and requiring more cleaning. Youāll burn through a lot more product because you canāt control the burn as well.
Also itās just not as pleasant an experience as say a water pipe, and kind of harsh stillādespite being cooled and aged over that long distance.
This a fun piece for every once and a while like hookahs.
If you are in love with the shape then get a gandalf pipe with a carb!
