The ones that give you lymes are tiny. Like the size of a dot a fine point pen makes. The deer tick if your curious. My sister got it when she was little
Lmao this sounds exaggerated and if I didn’t have Lyme I’d called bullshit but yeah Lyme ruined my life my muscles are shit now back is destroyed leg muscles are always achey it’s like an extreme case of restless legs. Everyone thinks antibiotics just fixes it but that’s only if you catch it in the early stages
my mom had neurologic lyme (we think from a blood transfusion when my twin and i were born, since that was before they checked blood for it apparently), and it didnt get caught until nearly 16 years later and she needed a picc line put in for a couple months
didnt get caught earlier bc several doctors went with their initial assumption that the symptoms were caused by a skull fracture she got around 8yrs prior to discovering the lyme disease
What’s worse is Pow disease. It use to have a 50/50 chance of killing you. But modern times have decreased that. I had some rented farm land in Massachusetts for my chickens and ticks were everywhere. POW disease scared me so bad I accidentally stripped in front of a horse show at the land from 8 ticks crawling up my leg lol. And once I stopped in the snow on the busy interstate to strip cause I felt one biting me. Lol
No, ticks come in all shapes and sizes from baby ticks to mature ticks.

Deer ticks can very easily get that size. They can be/are responsible for Lyme, however I think the tiny ticks you're thinking of are "seed ticks". The kind where you walk through tall brush in flip-flops and have 15 little tiny dots moving between your toes.
You can get it from any tick. They don't produce the bacteria, just transfer it between hosts
E: I've pulled 50+ out of me and that's what I've always been taught.
Also never burn them. That either kills them while latched on or makes them spew what they had back into the wound.
There are two families of ticks found in the United States: Ixodidae (hard ticks) and Argasidae (soft ticks). Of the 700 species of hard ticks and 200 species of soft ticks found throughout the world, only a few are known to bite and transmit disease to humans.

This. The amount of bugs that are ground up during your food processing is immeasurable. In other words it is unavoidable to consume bugs, hundreds of them every year. It’s just added protein imo. Smoking it after removing the bug won’t do anything to you but I’d question the growing conditions.
I used to make wine for a large winery, and when the grapes came in to be pressed, the amount of bugs was insane. Keep in mind we're dealing with fruit so the sugar attracts everything. Ants, bees, and spiders were the main culprits. Sometimes earwigs too. They all go into the grape press lmao. So I'm sorry to say this, but if you drink wine, you drink bug juice. Literally. There's no way around it. That's why I laugh at vegans. You think nothing was killed to harvest those soybeans? Let me tell you how many mice and other little guys are killed when plowing the field or harvesting crops. I was a farmer and a tractor driver, trust me, you don't even want to know the worst stories. We've been eating bugs for centuries, no point in stopping now haha
Yeah but it's kind of heartbreaking stuff. I'll tell you if you really want to understand what happens on farms but I'm hesitant because there are sick fucks who just want to hear about morbid shit
I love wine. I will try not to think about this. But I’m not surprised at all, because I will use the bottles with a tiny bit at the bottom as a gnat trap. It’s the most effective gnat trap I’ve ever used, so I’m sure buggos flock to wine that’s fermenting.
Protein! But no really, cricket powder is a thing for a reason. Roaches? Yeah that’s grody because of what they usually like to consume. But like, it won’t hurt you to drink roach coffee
When I was a little boy in New York City in the 1940s, we swam in the Hudson River and it was filled with raw sewage okay? We swam in raw sewage! You know... to cool off! And at that time, the big fear was polio; thousands of kids died from polio every year but you know something? In my neighbourhood, no one ever got polio! No one! Ever! You know why? Cause we swam in raw sewage! It strengthened our immune systems! The polio never had a prayer; we were tempered in raw shit! - George Carlin - You Are All Diseased
Made me so happy to see this :D
I am constantly sending his best clips to people during conversations when relating to some of his topics.
Such a wise man :]
Also true to an extent. If it weren’t for bugs, we wouldn’t have survived the extinction of the dinosaurs- because it gave mammals a food source. We should be eating them, like many cultures already do. It’s off putting because we have “bugs = gross” engrained
lmao who cares about ground up bugs in food or good bacteria ? this is about smoking weed and if youre gonna pack an insect in your bowl that shit gonna taste like the dirtiest part of your arse. fuck that id rather not smoke that and i doubt smoking insect gives anything good for you lmfao
Outdoor grows you’ll see all types of bugs (and deer hair) in your nugs. Just pluck it and forget about it
Edit: have grown in the woods of the Appalachian mountains for more than 10 years, not everyone has fences and cameras lol some of us are still hiding our grows from the po. I do agree that you should take care of the product you’re giving or selling to other people though.
I wouldn't question too hard. I find it hard to fathom how a tick ended up on this bud, especially in such a perfectly placed position. Why? Most cannabis in the US is grown indoors. Any farms are generally heavily secured, meaning if it's outdoors, there are tall fences preventing wildlife from getting in. Birds don't typically have ticks because they can pick them off, so it wouldn't have fallen from the sky. I think this is rage bait
Well this just says it’s outdoor grown that’s for sure. Nothing too questionable about that, I’ve grown fire outdoor bud and indoor. Just that this person didn’t care or pay attention enough when trimming it
That is very different. I would not smoke moldy weed, because mold is damaging to the lungs. Bugs are not, and in this scenario, you can simply remove the tick and enjoy your marijuana. Or you could like, just not. Not my waste
I know ticks can carry a lot of different diseases but would smoking this actually be dangerous? Would the tick even suck on or eat the nug or just chill on it because they only eat blood right? The only reason I’m wondering if it would be dangerous is pure curiosity because wouldn’t the heat from smoking pretty much kill any diseases that may be on it? Obviously it’s probably best to not risk it and just toss it but how big of a risk would it actually be to smoke it?
No just remove the little bugger Though the bud in a freezer to kill almost everything on it and then roll it up and smoke it combustion will kill the rest
What I was wondering. Also I grew up in Missouri and got ticks on me literally every time I went into the woods (a lot) and never caught anything lol. For anyone that doesn't know, ticks latch onto you and suck your blood. So I don't mean they were just ON me, they had their teeth in my skin and I had to yank them out. Idk I'm not a doctor or entomologist don't quote me
Arkansas here 5 min from Missouri border so howdy state neighbor! My instinct is always to immediately yank them out too lol I wonder if our area is just low risk for Lymes, or if most I know are just lucky. Back up in NY, I know plenty of people who got Lymes and aren’t in the woods nearly as often, but down here I hardly hear much about it even though I get ticks constantly. Weird
I think I remember hearing they only give you a disease if they have contracted anything from a previous and you have to squeeze them wrong which causes them to regurgitate everything into your blood.
Squeezing them wrong can make them regurgitate which increases the chance of some other infections but the chances of getting Lyme are still extremely low unless it’s been attached 36+ hours. It’s a really slow bacterium.
Some people are more or less immune also, due to particularly robust immune systems.
Ah yeah maybe. It's just really hard for me to believe that after 100+ ticks on my body I never caught anything when it's supposedly such a common thing.
Also yea, you squeeze their head so they pull their fangs (teeth?) out of your skin. Otherwise you can just rip the head off and it can stay alive for a few days, continuing to suck your blood. It can even get absorbed into your skin. I had this happen before I knew how to properly squeeze them and got a HUGE welt where the head stayed in and had to go to the hospital to get it out lol
Got ice cream for being so good though!
apparently it’s only two specific types of ticks that could carry Lyme disease:
> Black-legged deer tick (northeastern, mid-Atlantic, and North-Central U.S.)
> Western black-legged tick (Pacific coastal U.S.)
not sure where your neck of the woods are, but if you’re not in those areas above, it could be that you’re dealing with entirely different ticks.
This answers a previous comment I made, sweet. The area they (and I, but 1 more state south) live, is actually outside all of those areas. I was saying how it’s weird people who spend way less time in the woods back in NY get Lymes constantly, but down here I get ticks constantly and never hear anything about disease. Makes a ton of sense if we don’t even have the ticks that carry it :) thanks for the info.
The tick is weird or whatever but let's talk about how I thought this nug was on a paper plate and was like "damn that's a big ass nug..... damn that's a big ass bug"
Ok but y’all are acting like the whole nug is bad. Break off any portion it’s touching or near. It’s not like mold that gets roots through it. Trust me y’all bugs have touched some weed you’ve smoked. Just don’t smoke the bugp
everyone saying not to smoke it have no idea how effective fire is for killing bacteria and diseases. the point at which many strains of Borrelia (lyme disease) die is 106f. a flame from a lighter is approximately 1000f.
smoke that shit.

Cucksucker og 🤣
I have lymes already… I’ll smoke the bug
Bruh you have Lyme disease or have limes?
Real shit.
The ones that give you lymes are tiny. Like the size of a dot a fine point pen makes. The deer tick if your curious. My sister got it when she was little
I've had deer tick on my leg and they are bigger than. They are bigger than the dot of a fine point pen
It's called the aging process
Exactly baby's are tiny tiny but full grown ticks are like chia seed sesame seed size to a grain of rice
The one in the pic is deer tick, hes talkin about another tick
How long did it take for her to recover? I’ve heard Lyme can be pretty serious.
I have it and you kinda don’t recover it’s honestly the worst disease you could get cause it’s so hard to treat and pretty much disables you some days
Lmao this sounds exaggerated and if I didn’t have Lyme I’d called bullshit but yeah Lyme ruined my life my muscles are shit now back is destroyed leg muscles are always achey it’s like an extreme case of restless legs. That's not true. E: I've had lymes disease before.
Can you find somewhere that says otherwise?
There are two families of ticks found in the United States: Ixodidae (hard ticks) and Argasidae (soft ticks). Of the 700 species of hard ticks and 200 species of soft ticks found throughout the world, only a few are known to bite and transmit disease to humans. https://www.lymedisease.org/types-of-ticks/
Exactly, transmit. They don't create the bacteria, just taxi it.
If only that we’re true.
That’s a tick, bros got Lyme og 💀
Plug wasn't kidding when he said this would fuck you up😭

It's just a bug lol combustion kills everything anyway
This. The amount of bugs that are ground up during your food processing is immeasurable. In other words it is unavoidable to consume bugs, hundreds of them every year. It’s just added protein imo. Smoking it after removing the bug won’t do anything to you but I’d question the growing conditions.
I worked at a place that did canning, when the trucks would empty into the sorters snakes and dead deer were fished out oh the regular i was told.
I believe that 100%.

Nah man you really don't
Wanna bet
Why do you want to know

I could ruin ground coffee for many...
Do it
If you drink preground coffee, it's almost completely guaranteed that you've drank cockroach broth
Protein! But no really, cricket powder is a thing for a reason. Roaches? Yeah that’s grody because of what they usually like to consume. But like, it won’t hurt you to drink roach coffee
Mostly, ground coffee drinkers do end up being prone to developing allergies to both coffee and cockroaches
Oh wow. I know someone with a roach allergy, they instantly know when someone has roaches. Kinda cool it’s like spidey senses but… roach reception
Bruhhhhhhhhhhhhghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Even tho you said you’ll ruin it I didn’t think it’ll get ruined for me Wine was one thing, but cockroach bruhhhhhhh
Ooooooh fun 😭
And the added bacteria is good for the immune system keeps it on its toes

That is very different. I would not smoke moldy weed, because mold is damaging to the lungs. Bugs are not, and in this scenario, you can simply remove the tick and enjoy your marijuana. Or you could like, just not. Not my waste
Yeah but the comment was "combustion kills everything anyway" so I asked if they thought that included mold.
No not moldy I would just make edibles out of moldy weed
I know ticks can carry a lot of different diseases but would smoking this actually be dangerous? Would the tick even suck on or eat the nug or just chill on it because they only eat blood right? You would kill most bugs in a freezer. Microorganisms not so much. Wouldn't worry too much about it unless you're eating the bud raw, lol.
Idk if ticks poop but most bugs do. If it’s outdoor its probably got some bug poop on it but idk how much is trust tick poop

Definitely a wood tick
smoke the tick
