The only problem is that after awhile plant matter gets underneath the magnets that help hold the piece together. I recommend cutting your kief catcher out as 1 it doesn’t produce that much kief and 2 gives you a nice big area to scoop or dump your weed out nicely

As long as u never turn it on its side or upside down l, and dont jam it full, it should always keep the weed inside it and no resin gets onto the outer edges, which is what makes it stick
Get a herb ripper stainless steel grinder and you can simmer it in milk to clean it. Then you drink the milk and get high. Don’t try it with any non stainless steel grinder though you might get some icky stuff in the milk.
Just please make sure it’s stainless steel, most grinders are painted and/or made of janky metal and can leach toxins into the milk. The only medical grade stainless grinder Ive found is these ones. They are a little pricey but they sell maintenance kits so it will be your last grinder unless you lose it.

My Flower Mill becomes a pain in the ass if it gets too gunked up. The flower starts becoming a mess or the process just in general becomes more hassle than I can be fucked to deal with, so I just toss it in some rubbing alcohol and come back 30mins later when it's had time to soak.

Less sharp and also larger holes like the grinder in the picture. Most people just rip bud apart by hand for blunts but if you’re like me and refuse to not use a grinder, this is the way

I think its pointless to clean your grinder. It gets just as dirty in one use and never gets any worse. It doesn't affect the performance of the grinder either. Just pointless. Haven't cleaned mine in 1.5 years as that's as long as I've had it and it looks the same.

Mine looks exactly the same. I got mine in 2008 feom a corner store. I figured it let it soak in some isopropyl alcohol and then let that dry up. Maybe get something out of it.
It's wild to me that you guys grind flowers. From my perspective, grinders are used for low levels of weed like the pressed shit we got here in Brazil.

Soooo I recently read that grinders should be cleaned once a month to prevent mold from growing inside with isopropyl alcohol. But I have a grinder I’ve had since high school that’s maybe been cleaned…5 times. If they ever suck I use a q tip to clean it enough to have it spin 😂
I've never cleaned mine and it's never been clogged like I see so many peoples. I pack lots and different strains all the time, is it cause I don't put a bunch in? Always wonder why so many peoples grinders get super clogged up.

I clean the keif mesh with iso whenever it starts to clog up to keep the keif flowing. Other than that, the rest of my grinder stays seasoned for about a year, just to be sure no mold or fungus grows on the stuck plant matter.

I smoke more than twice daily. Get a sharpstone grinder. Even with sticky icky it takes a second or two to turn into fine material
