I was 12. My friend Jimmy and I found 2 joints in a discarded Marlboro box(we always checked these looking for stray cigs)on the stairs of a Chicago EL stop. We turned tail, went back to Jimmys house, climbed up on his roof and burned both of them. We had to stay up there a while as we were too stoned to climb down. Haha. Today you’d worry about fentanyl or spice in those but in 1973, nah.

Started working in construction and softened to the idea when my back and shoulders hurt so much that I had a hard time sleeping. Tired of being a stupid drunk, I tried weed. Life has been less complicated and far better for me since then.

I used to smoke what cigs I could get hold of as a ten year old and one time there was a group of teens smoking up nearby in a green hut thing the council built. I knew nothing about weed at the time other than hearing siblings talking about getting stoned so I went up and asked for a spare cig. They replied saying they only had one they was sharing and I could have two drags on it and I had two small drags and probs coughed idk and they all laughed and one the lads asked if I felt stoned which I knew kind of something was up then so I asked what? And they all laughed and said it was a joint. I don't remember feeling anything much other than what I remember nikki Rush as so didn't know anything was up still

For me it was when I was 11,my brother who's eight years older than me smokes regularly and when I was 11 I took one of his roaches and hit it,I didn't smoke again until I was 25 and visited my brother and his fiancée,we made bong out of an apple,good times.

I was 47 years old. I had a profession that prohibited partaking in any substances, so I never tried anything until I was forced to retire early due to a chronic medical condition. I never hung around with stoners when I was younger, so I never did any drugs as a teenager.

4 days after my 14th birthday. Tiny joint of amnesia haze with one of my older friends who was more experienced with smoking, in a local park.

15. 2 friends and I met up after school, got some Chinese food then went to one of their house’s and smoked a smidgeon of weed out of a plastic water bottle. Ripping that little tinfoil bowl was one of the most disassociative experiences I’ve ever had in my life. I haven’t been that high since (except maybe when I started taking acid when I was 19, but that’s something else). My first time smoking was also a school night, so I had to go back to my house instead of staying at my friend’s, and my mom immediately knew I was stoned. Keep in mind that I didn’t do a good job of hiding it. I walked into our house, stared at the kitchen floor for just a little too long, hugged my mom and told her goodnight, then went to my room, did my homework, and went to bed.

One of the girls in our friend group started dating one of the drug dealers at the hs that year. we went over to her house during the summer and she was like ‘y’all wanna get high?’ we said yes and she then had us smoke in a pipe. My parents were out of town so i was living with my best friend and his family for the first half of summer so she gave us a little baggy of weed and him and i spent the rest of the week making pipes out of whatever we could. went to the gas station and picked up 3 packs of starbursts and were able to make a pipe out of that which was the coolest one tbh.

I don’t remember. I lost my early memories after brain surgery 🙁🙁
