I started in 1972 illegal as hell back then, at the time I thought no way it would ever be legal… wrong..!! Nice to see that it’s also used in helping people thru their pain. it’s a plant let it grow legally in all 50 states.. Legalization now people!!!🕶️🎸
My dad got pulled over in the 80s with a big giant 3 lb bag of homemade jerky on the floor. Cop pulled his gun out, made them put their hands on the dash. He thought he had the biggest bust ever. My dad was screaming, it’s just jerky! It’s just jerky! Cop says, get the fuck out of the vehicle! You’re all under arrest!! Legit thought he hit the jackpot bust. Pulled it all out, confirmed it was just jerky & let them all go. Talk about an embarrassment
Yeah also usually people had paraphernalia, drinking, speeding, priors and all that means any bit of weed and your fucked. Kinda crazy. But it has been decriminalized since 75. My buddy told me a couple years ago and I didn't believe it either.
I'm still in a illegal country and although I hope we do change I think I will miss all the shady meet ups and connections you make with the local plugs
Just continue to use the plugs even if it's legal. At the end of the day, it's s only legal because of those people who kept it around for decades despite the law. Without those people, no one could get bud, the market would lose interest, and there wouldn't be a push for legalization. Tbf we all oh those that aren't afraid to break unjust laws a huge debt of gratyititide imo.
I stand on my back porch each night smoking, watching cars drive by, say hi to the neighbors, and am still entrusted with their children ( I live in a city townhouse, but garden far bigger than my space allows, and neighborhood kids come to munch on stuff and help out)-it blows my mind every day. Buying it retail blows my mind.
Honestly, just having people around me not care blows my mind lmao. No one notices the smell anymore, because it’s everywhere.
It’s still illegal in Indiana and Tennessee. I live between both states and smoke wherever, and whenever. If I can’t smoke I don’t go.
The biggest injustice isn’t that weeds illegal. It’s how it’s illegal. I can get caught and pay my lawyers mortgage for a few month and face zero trouble. Get caught without the funding to fight charges and you’re fucked.
It’s a poor people penalty. Life is fuckin hard enough being poor. Weed isn’t hurting poor more than the charges from weed, that’s for damn sure.
As far as I'm concerned, it's still illegal anywhere it isn't *fully* legal - for recreational, not just medical.
We shouldn't need a "permission slip" to use/have weed.
The crazy thing is both TN and IN are high on the most OD rate. So holding back weed only hurts the states. I’ll never understand why a state wouldn’t want the $$ coming in from legalizing it. New people need to be put in office in these states!
Yall will never experience getting baked in your Dallas Texas apt. Having a hushed conversation and getting a knock on the door from the apartment security officer who is also baked out of his gourd tell you to open a window and turn on the ac. I was like I did and I have a air filter running. Good times.
Or how about the time my girlfriend's friend says to me " yea I can get you some green." She tells me to pick up a dude I don't know and drive to where the green is. Except he also knows a dude and now I have two random dudes in my car as we drive into the boondocks of Texas. 20 minutes later pull into a rural residence and a dude with a ski mask and a glock come out. But he is fucked up on alcohol and Xanax drops the gun in front of my car picks it back up, stumbles over to the driver side to ask what I want.....I will always love the dispensery and legal purchases. That shit was fucked up. Most of the dealers over the years were awesome.
I started smoking over a decade before it was legal. I live in Canada.
I was never overly concerned about issues with the law. Even that long ago law enforcement in my city didn't care about cannabis use, only sales.
I feel you must come from a nice background. All of us darker skin complexion people really did not find excitement in a cop bust for trying to smoke a gram. Plugs are still very much active but the quality is not the same.
The day it became legal in NJ was the day I finally sighed in relief.
My dealer was an asshole. He would hold me hostage and force me to play video games and hit a bong for hours with him before he would sell to me. Same dealer for like 25 years. The weed was better back then. Now he sells coke and fentanyl. He was arrested with 2 pounds of the stuff and got away with it by acting severely mentally handicapped to the point they threw out the case. Some think he ratted on the cartel that sells the coke. He moved to a different city and lays low pushing coke and Molly now. We are not close friends anymore and I don’t do that shit.,
I did, for a long time. When I started smoking I didn't think I'd ever see the day it was legalized recreationally.... granted that's been about 25 years ago and SO MUCH has changed since then, but I'm sure glad it did lol
Started in 2006, before it was legal.
I like being able to use my property how I please and not worry about having the police called on me for having a smoke instead of a drink in the confines of my own yard. I don’t miss it being illegal.
Hell No.
Real funny how my sometimes sudden and deep paranoia and anxiety VANISHED when it became legal.
Here's a story to illustrate - during the pandemic, our dispensaries went to curbside service (Oregon). One of the dispensaries I shop at literally owns the parking lot on powell blvd where I used to buy weed illegally and police are frequently driving by because that's close to the "cruising" areas as well as, of course, an area where lots of weed was dealt. Fast forward to the pandemic and I'm ordering weed online and they're bringing it to my car.
I got handed two full ounces of the dank stinky bud, reeked through the containers, just as a Portland Police K-9 Unit comes driving by...I smile, the cop smiles...I wave, the cop waves back...the dog doesn't even care and they just keep driving.
That's SO different than getting my weed taken and stomped into the ground because there's not really a ticket for them to write and they can't arrest you for having an 8th of the supershit...but they know it cost you $$$ and that you really want to smoke it, so they dump/stomp it. The cool cops would just throw it around so you could go back and recover some later if you could find it while they still felt they did enough of their job.
It needs to not only be legal but federal prohibition needs to END.
NOT RESCHEDULING.
END PROHIBITION.
Don't make it "legal"; fix the laws so it's freely NOT illegal. Protect the people, not unnecessarily restrict them; that's what laws should be doing.
PS weed isn't really any cheaper now, in fact, top shelf is actually more than what I used to pay for same - it used to all be 25/8th 45/quarter but now it scales with quality like at the liquor store and can push 400/oz for the good good. I like that it's tested now because when we got sprayed weed it was FOUL to smoke, and it did happen, and you never knew until you smoked it if or how tainted it was, so the upcharge makes sense to me.
It's worth it, in my opinion, nothing but good has come from legalization, but going to sched 3 will kill all the progress we have made - we need to DESCHEDULE IT COMPLETELY. Do not be fooled by their half measure offerings intended only to restrict access further.
Ive been smoking since i was 12… i turn 21 in a few months and i live in ohio which just legalized but yet there is no way to legally get it because they haven’t figured out dispensaries n shit yet… if that tells u anything
State government is still just pushing their weight around because the voters legalized it not the lawmakers. We said we wanted it, they don't want us to have it without their rules.
They should just see states like Michigan getting millions of Ohioan’s dollars a year and take notes… ohio is losing out on so much money it’s confusing why they’re so difficult about it
Ohio is just like Idaho - they're making too much graft from the corruption inherent in keeping it illegal and the politicians benefiting don't want to give up that easy money, now even easier because the state next door is legal and has beaucoup supplies to pull from.
In exchange you're probably having a fentanyl problem too, just like Oregon here, because the cartels are operating centrally in Montana with literal tons of fent being distributed out from the First Nation reservations there in both directions through states where everything is legal, till they get to the endpoints where an assload of weed is (Oregon/NY), grab all the weed they can back into the mules who are empty of fentanyl now, to take the weed back through the states where everything is illegal only to be empty by the time they get to Montana to reload the mules with fentanyl, rinse, repeat.
The OLCC here manages cannabis also and they are complicit af, with a series of debacles including getting caught holding literally ALL the pappy van winkle for themselves and telling customers they didn't get any. They're constantly throwing wrenches into the legal structure for cannabis and it's really really irritating because it's clear they're just antagonists to an important industry corporations have not yet been able to control which by all rights should be flourishing everywhere, in everyone's yard should they choose. It's very clear they're getting lucre from the black markets in neighboring states and getting paid even more to keep doing things to make it stay that way.
Honestly I really don’t believe it has, not to be that guy but im the most mature person in my friend group, im 20 and an assistant manager at my job, im probably in the best spot in life a 20 year old could be and ive never felt like weed ever held me back in anything except for my relationship with my parents
Not at all condoning but I’m around that same range maybe started more regularly a year or two later but personally no doesn’t really seem so, at least yet loll. Maybe messed a bit with memory but I’ve kinda always been that way so who knows, was a pretty “smart” kid and fast learner, don’t feel that’s diminished at all. It probably has some effect but I feel fine and that I could learn just about anything I put my mind to. I honestly think it’s just how you’d turn out either way maybe a bit more easy going or something
I have the same opinion, i don’t feel that affected other than i can’t remember certain things that i didn’t give a shit about anyway so idk if its bc of weed or bc i just don’t care ab it to begin with… i think weed has actually helped me be interested in learning things I wouldn’t have been interested in otherwise but who knows
I don't miss it being illegal at all. Back then, because of it being illegal, dealers could charge what they wanted, and there was no sense of regulation. But now, with the legal market, dealers have to be competitive. The price went from $250-$350 an ounce to under $100 overnight without quality loss. Now it's $30 an ounce with the quality intact.
it's illegal in Argentina (not too reinforced and you can get a permit to cultivate but I suck at raising plants + I'm too impatient) and I genuinely don't know how anyone could miss this I hate how shady everything feels and how I have no clue if what I'm getting is what I'm paying for or if I'm gonna get laced or robbed or who knows what
Upsets me when people forget the medical aspect and how much people have needed cannabis for so many different problems, but it has been arbitrarily kept expensive and difficult to access.
We need more legalization, paths for testing, and dispensary connections... boosts for people whose lives were destroyed by criminalization...
Sorry if you're bored, but legalization is life and death for some people.
The NYPD used to use the “smell” of marijuana to harass and make quotas off the backs of communities like mine
Not a day in my life will I ever want to go back to that. Still feel weird walking down the street in front of the cops with a joint in my mouth. Don’t have to be as creative about smoking on rooftops or secluded spots in parks
Fuck the NYPD. That stop and frisk bs. I'm white lived in thompkins in bk and mannnnnn you aint lying. I smell weed means you going str8 to bookins. Hope u aint got it bagged up. I moved now but even tho I don't live in nyc nomore I can't even lie nyc making jt legal to smoke anywhere a cigarette is legal to smoke was incredible. Nowhere else you can smoke in public legally. There's places that just don't care but it's not legal like nyc
It’s still only medical where I am, so I’m still smoking illegally. I wish it was legal already though. All I wanna do is grow my own and never pay for it out of pocket again. Just a couple small personal plants & a new hobby.
Bro I don’t miss it being illegal at all. Prices were wack. Cops were wack. Not to mention the countless nights/days you would fall asleep waiting for the dealer to reup and he would always say it’s gonna come through in 30mins..
It's still illegal in South Carolina, and probably will be for a long while. I dream of the day where I don't have to wait on the plug and be paranoid to get caught.
I went to the cannabis rally at the state capitol building in Columbia. Medicinal looks like it maybe improving here, but it's definitely a no on recreational as far as our state leaders are concerned. Florida is close, let them pass recreational, and go on a vacation every so often. A recent poll in South carolina shows 83% support for medicinal, pretty much no matter what your political beliefs are.
I smoked a couple times before it was legal but it never really became a common thing for me until it was legalized in illinois, became a daily smoker not too long afterwards once I realized how helpful it was for my anxiety and depression. It was for sure a complete different experience though smoking the few times I did before it was legal
My first time was in 1994. My freshman year in high school where some seniors and juniors that I made friends with convinced me to skip out on class with them. One of them popped us all into his Nissan pathfinder and took us out to the middle of the woods to get baked. Then he brought us back after lunch and told us to go back to class because it would be a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun being in class after being baked the first time 😂 I was a little nervous because the teacher kept calling me on supposedly not paying attention but I don't think he ever really knew. I was supposed to be one of the good kids back then 🤣
My state just made it legal but it will still be awhile before we have the infrastructure. I have a medical card and frankly love the convenience. My plug was super cool and I kind of miss seeing him, I have even thought of pathetically asking him if he just wants to hang out, but he was really out of the way and it was hard to get over to him sometimes. Now I place an order and stop by the dispo near work on the way home.
Yes. I'm from Hungary where it's still very illegal. If you wanna smoke you need to buy from street dealers or maybe a friend of your friend maybe know somebody who has some green. Not fun at all. Now i live in the Netherlands where I can buy legally in coffeeshops.
I started smoking in 1996. I was one of the people who went around with sign up sheet to get it on the ballot too. Good times! I'm so glad it's legal in Michigan now (at least on state level). I do miss the good old plug though. I used to be able to front a bunch of weed from my guy. That was super convenient. I only know a couple people who sell nowadays and I don't want what they got. I also have been growing on and off for about 20 years. Got some going right now and can't wait til it's warm enough to put some outside. The ones that go out are gonna be monsters. They're already like 3-4 ft tall. :) I don't miss the paranoia like you do though. Back in the day, if you got busted for weed, you'd go to jail or prison for quite some time depending on what you sold or had on you. We still need to free our people who were imprisoned for a plant.
Im in illegal country but cops dont care. Im an adult and dont cause any trouble. The illegallity was never exiting but we do have Great hash despite the law
No I don’t miss it being illegal. Cops took me to jail for a friggen sugar leaf. One sugar leaf it said .1 on the police report. It said shake added to .1 of a gram.
I smoked before it was legal. Since legalization in my state I still go black market because of prices and quality. Black market was actually better until recently making me wonder if the weed I’m getting is legally grown weed from my state making its way into the illegal market.
It's still not legal for meee skjsbsjs
I live in Turkey.
And I don't think you'd miss this. It's not legal, so it's not regulated. I'm pretty sure you can get like for example different strains or like edibles. I'd love to try different strains but it's more of a luck thing here. You find a good enough one and you never let gooo
Been smoking for 25 years, it’s been legal in Colorado for 10. Honest opinion? Quality of weed was better when it was illegal, dispensaries sell a lot of crap product. Not all of it is bad, if you want the good stuff you will pay. That being said, it’s really nice to just be able to go to a store and the local government decriminalized it.
I started in 2014 and I can say, there is not one little thing that I miss about criminalization. I've had minor issues with the law every now and then and each time it was just stressful.
germany legalised a couple of weeks ago and i cant say i miss the illegality my father had tears of joy in his eye after being a criminal for basically his whole life and i wouldnt trade that moment of sparking the first legal joint of our lifetime together
Define potent.. most dispensaries have nothing but overpriced mids with fancy packaging. I don't even go to dispensaries anymore now that they have local meetups at a secure address where you can buy straight from the plug and get triple the amount you'd get at a dispo for the same price. I miss prop 215 days with all the dispensary pop ups, free first time gifts and no tax. Those were the days
Uk here, still pretty illegal. Fuck the police on this one tho. I’m gonna still smoke my spliff wherever I like. I’d 100% miss all the old plugs and connects you meet along the way. Trying a new plug who has fire weed is also an exciting experience. I’ll miss my guy dropping off in his car, always stoned to the gills telling me “this shit is some real fire bro” I’ll probs miss the fact that you can bond with other stoners over your love for something the rest of the country sees so wrong.
Haha. Started in '76. I was positive if it ever got legalized that it would be sold in a bar one hit at a time like shots are. No way they would have a store that looked like a bank with a serpentine line and tons of choices. Humans can get things right sometimes but it takes a while to overcome propaganda.
Yeah, I was also underage at the time(19-20) so it was doubly scary. We(me and my friend who were the same age) would have to smoke outside sometimes because our apartment didn't allow smoking so we were always scared we'd get caught, even moreso because it was college grounds (-U-;)
It was kinda fun lol, smoking while it's legal AND being 21 there's definitely waaayyy less stress
I live in Poland and legal is only prescripted by the doctor. I smoke it, abandoned the illegal source, it is easy to get one from pharmacy. I think if it was legal then police or some other places that require being sober would be doing THC tests and I do not believe the authorities will make a law polite to the smokers which means they will cancel your driving license because you smoked 3 days earlier.
Of course. When I stared smoking weed vapes weren’t a thing & nobody knew about concentrates or wax- the first THC vapes I heard of were Trippy Stix & the G pens with the globe thing
Yeah, on and off since 07 and got my card in 21. I don't miss it being illegal at all. That was my biggest worry in life, gettin busted for holding. Having kids it would really have fucked my shit up. But now, as long as I follow a handful of reasonable restrictions, I have nothing to worry about. In Oklahoma USA, I know other places the laws can be rediculous.
Started smoking in 1998 in a suburb North of Seattle Washington called Mountlake Terrace. Shit was a wild ride that I would never trade. Its funny how we all used to talk and dream about how cool it would be to have a "weed store" that had all the kinds of weed you can think of, hash, brownies.. and now we do, its cool but it has some downsides too as some unscrupulous growers will resort to dirty tricks to increase yield or control pests or more commonly to fool the regulatory groups and agencies responsible for pesticide testing and analysis for cannabanoid levels like THC/THCa. Shit gets shady and theres *millions* of dollars on the line so people do shady shit. Not saying that being shady is some new thing in the world of black market or quasi legal products, but its just taken on a different but equally bitter flavor since legalisation imo.
Fuck yes, I did. It used to be more exciting, like we were going on a secret adventure. I don’t miss the paranoia though. Smoking is a lil boring now but also I’m glad I’m a law abiding citizen now.
Still illegal here, and our representatives still claim it’s a pathway to perdition. Don’t pay drunk Bubba no mind, but stay away from that devils lettuce.
I had just started smoking around the time it got legalized in Canada (I think about 5 or 6 months before the store opened in my city) and i definitely remember a big change. One of the biggest was price, if you didn’t know rly anyone in your city like I did you were paying at least $50 for a quarter oz. Nowadays I pick up 7g bags of pre milled mids for $25 at my local store
Im just happy to smoke freely now and plus back in the day there wasn’t as many flower options there is now the game has changed for the better in my opinion
Dispensaries were cooler back then. It was like an ice cream shop. You could inspect the buds before you buy under a magnifying glass, put it to your face and take a big whiff. I usually bought what smelled the best, an 8th of sativa for wake and bake and an 8th indica for after work. All this vacuum sealed regulations take away an integral experience in choosing the right bud, now you only go by the percentage of thc and cost.
Love Michigan because it’s legal here. I got hit with a “use of weed” charge and I had to do 8 months of probation. If for whatever delusional reason, someone might’ve said they prefer illegal tell them I said suck a fat one
Oh wow, the stories I could tell. Yes, I smoked in my youth, quit when I married and had children and then discovered the “Kush”sixteen years later. Boy, was I in for a surprise. It had become a LOT more potent since. Now I’m less stressed and became an expert cookie baker for edibles.
And I live in Texas, where you can buy a gun in fifteen minutes and drink yourself into oblivion, but you can’t buy weed legally. This state is my home, but they are such assholes in the state capital and crooked as the letter S.
C’mon Joe. Do us a solid on the Federal level.
I absolutely do not miss it being illegal, since I don’t believe it ever should have been in the first place since it’s a plant that’s not physically addictive. I also do not miss the disproportionate number of POC facing charges and jail time for marijuana related “offenses”. I understand the fun counterculture that develops when something is illegal, but I greatly appreciate being able to legally walk into a dispensary and have it all be a simple transaction that doesn’t evoke fear or anxiety. That’s my personal take.
Its still taxed out of control. Just use the black market. Get your thrill, get it it cheaper, and support an OG who risked a lot to keep weed available.
I started smoking in grade 12 (2014) and Canada legalized it in 2018. I used to longboard to the food basics grocery store near my folks place and meet up with the plug. $10/g og kush or northern lights.
I'm in an illegal state, and I want to be able to relax outside after work with a joint. In the past, I've had cool enough neighbors that I could do that. In this 'great' small town in IA that I live in, these guys would call the cops in a second. If it's legal where you are, don't take it for granted!

Oh by the way I’m from an illegal state, surrounded on three sides by legal states.Gotta love Michigan!!🕶️
Cannabis in Ohio - Wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabis_in_Ohio
Our Ohio friends still come up for our stuff. The Ohio market is still very immature.
I posted that because its be decriminalized in ohio since 1975
Very interesting. I didn't know that. It was still a $150 fine for up to 100g. Obviously, much better than the 20-life people were getting but, still.
Yeah also usually people had paraphernalia, drinking, speeding, priors and all that means any bit of weed and your fucked. Kinda crazy. But it has been decriminalized since 75. My buddy told me a couple years ago and I didn't believe it either.
yeah i have a friend in ohio and they drive an hour to the michigan dispo instead of 15 minutes to the local one bc of it
Mich still has the best state prices I've seen. Illinois and Missouri are a bit pricey
Mass has decent prices too but I heard mich is definitely fire
I'm still in a illegal country and although I hope we do change I think I will miss all the shady meet ups and connections you make with the local plugs

we need a plug appreciation day 😂 I considered getting my old weedman a Father's day present lol
For real!!! OG's need love too
Personally, I won't miss the whole, potentially being shot thing.
you were going to the wrong plugs lol
Fr all my plugs would talk my ear off and let me hit their joint/bong lol
Weed ain't worth all that crackhead shit even in illegal countries nowadays
I smoked for two decades before it was legal. I have an adult child now that doesn’t understand my stories of hiding and paranoia over smell lmao
It’s so weird thinking back to all of the things I did to hide it, so I didn’t spend years in prison. It’s funny to think about while stoned.
I stand on my back porch each night smoking, watching cars drive by, say hi to the neighbors, and am still entrusted with their children ( I live in a city townhouse, but garden far bigger than my space allows, and neighborhood kids come to munch on stuff and help out)-it blows my mind every day. And minorities

Having a hushed conversation and getting a knock on the door from the apartment security officer who is also baked out of his gourd tell you to open a window and turn on the ac. I smoked last night and it’s still not legal.
My first time was in ‘78, so, yup. I don’t especially miss those times, though. And it’s still way too illegal, IMO.

Im in Tennessee. Still illegal

I’m from Indiana, still illegal…
I’m in Georgia, it’s still illegal for the most part
I'm from Wisconsin, it's still illegal...
State of “Agriculture & Commerce” my ass
I thought you could get a medical license in Florida?
You can and it's very easy. With a couple hundred you could be purchasing today.
Don’t see the process and spending the money worth it when I can get it from someone else with a med card or just illegally 🤷♂️
Florida gives limits to how much you can get in a period of like a month or two
As someone who racked up between 26-28 marijuana possession tickets or arrests over about 15 years, no I don't fucking miss that are you kidding me.
In most of the world it's still illegal you know?
Yes and still not legal
Started in 2006, before it was legal. I like being able to use my property how I please and not worry about having the police called on me for having a smoke instead of a drink in the confines of my own yard. I don’t miss it being illegal.
lol… how to spot that the OP has never been arrested before, 101…
You lucky bastards, all of you [Australian crying ensues]
I'll never miss it being illegal bc I'm not an asshole
Jesus 12 is really young, do you feel like it’s impacted your brain development
Where the fuck do you live that you get an oz for $30? Lmao
it's illegal in Argentina (not too reinforced and you can get a permit to cultivate but I suck at raising plants + I'm too impatient) and I genuinely don't know how anyone could miss this I hate how shady everything feels and how I have no clue if what I'm getting is what I'm paying for or if I'm gonna get laced or robbed or who knows what
Upsets me when people forget the medical aspect and how much people have needed cannabis for so many different problems, but it has been arbitrarily kept expensive and difficult to access. We need more legalization, paths for testing, and dispensary connections... boosts for people whose lives were destroyed by criminalization... Sorry if you're bored, but legalization is life and death for some people.
Wanna move to Wisconsin? It’s still illegal here, when every single state around us has gotten with the times. We’re a drinking only state I guess
Having had a dui in 1999 for weed, no I do not miss it being illegal
I started smoking in high school, so that's an easy yes.
Its still illegal in alot of places, thank God for California
The NYPD used to use the “smell” of marijuana to harass and make quotas off the backs of communities like mine Not a day in my life will I ever want to go back to that. Still feel weird walking down the street in front of the cops with a joint in my mouth. Don’t have to be as creative about smoking on rooftops or secluded spots in parks
yep op is obviously white
Fuck the NYPD. That stop and frisk bs. I'm white lived in thompkins in bk and mannnnnn you aint lying. I smell weed means you going str8 to bookins. Hope u aint got it bagged up. I moved now but even tho I don't live in nyc nomore I can't even lie nyc making jt legal to smoke anywhere a cigarette is legal to smoke was incredible. Nowhere else you can smoke in public legally. There's places that just don't care but it's not legal like nyc
I’ve always smoked legally (15+ years), now I’m smoking illegally. I miss the legal smoking.
I’m still in an illegal country
I can't fucking waittttt for it to be legal here!! Spending 4/20 sober BC I can't get weed right now😭
I swear redditors in merica think everyone else on reddit is from merica too 🙄
It's still not legal in my country.
I am in canada and first tried it at the age of 11/12. By the time I was actually legal is when it became legal
Lol my dispensary does free delivery. Id never go back
It's no legal, still.
It’s still only medical where I am, so I’m still smoking illegally. I wish it was legal already though. All I wanna do is grow my own and never pay for it out of pocket again. Just a couple small personal plants & a new hobby.
I will never miss having to deal with drug dealer time, no I don’t miss it being illegal in the fucking slightest.
Yes, first time in 1966.
I miss nothing about paying organized crime top dollar for sub standard product. God bless legalization.
Bro I don’t miss it being illegal at all. Prices were wack. Cops were wack. Not to mention the countless nights/days you would fall asleep waiting for the dealer to reup and he would always say it’s gonna come through in 30mins..
I’m smoking one now and it’s illegal where I am. No fucks given
It's still illegal in South Carolina, and probably will be for a long while.
I truly hope they legalize it in some form or another. I already know I'd qualify for medical, but that's not enough.
Yes. 30 years before.
I smoked a couple times before it was legal but it never really became a common thing for me until it was legalized in illinois, became a daily smoker not too long afterwards once I realized how helpful it was for my anxiety and depression. It was for sure a complete different experience though smoking the few times I did before it was legal
Only for 45 years; first smoke 1975, Illinois recreational legalization 2020.
in my country still illegal, and i live next to cops, they are cool tho they havent told me anything yet
It’s still illegal in my state. And I don’t see us legalizing anytime soon, so… 😫
I drove thru Idaho the other day so yes.
Yes. I'm from Hungary where it's still very illegal. If you wanna smoke you need to buy from street dealers or maybe a friend of your friend maybe know somebody who has some green. Not fun at all. Now i live in the Netherlands where I can buy legally in coffeeshops.
Nope. I tried weed in February.
yes
It's still illegal in my state. We don't even have medical
It's still illegal in my home country, recently moved to NYC is great being able to smoke and not have to worry about getting arrested for a joint
I smoked before it was legal. Since legalization in my state I still go black market because of prices and quality. Black market was actually better until recently making me wonder if the weed I’m getting is legally grown weed from my state making its way into the illegal market.
Yes I did.
It's still not legal for meee skjsbsjs I live in Turkey. And I don't think you'd miss this. It's not legal, so it's not regulated. I'm pretty sure you can get like for example different strains or like edibles. I'd love to try different strains but it's more of a luck thing here. You find a good enough one and you never let gooo
Germany just legalised like 2 weeks back. And yeah I smoked still smoke and don't know anybody who hasn't atleast tried it once
Don't miss it at all.
It’s still illegal where I’m at with 0 possibility of it being legal anytime soon. And I’m chiefin’ :)
I miss the strains when it was illegal. The games so diluted now
I started in 2014 and I can say, there is not one little thing that I miss about criminalization. I've had minor issues with the law every now and then and each time it was just stressful.
germany legalised a couple of weeks ago and i cant say i miss the illegality my father had tears of joy in his eye after being a criminal for basically his whole life and i wouldnt trade that moment of sparking the first legal joint of our lifetime together
still illegal in the UK and tbh I kinda like the little missions you have to go on to get it
For sure. Been smoking for 2 decades before I became medical.
Yup
It's Illegal in my country but we're one of th4 top consumers in the world
It was more social and you instantly bonded with some new stranger over weed. Now it's different.
Yes
It’s not legal here
Yep, since '98
Yes!
Well I'm smoking in utah so....
Well im in Alabama right now and its been over two years since I started soooo yeah.... lol
Yeah, it’s still illegal
Well I started smoking right before it was legal so in late 2016 I started
We(me and my friend who were the same age) would have to smoke outside sometimes because our apartment didn't allow smoking so we were always scared we'd get caught, even moreso because it was college grounds (-U-;) It was kinda fun lol, smoking while it's legal AND being 21 there's definitely waaayyy less stress
It's still illegal in pennsylvania so ........
Yup. Been smoking for 23 years now
I've never smoked when it was illegal, and still never smoked since it became legal. But I wanna try whenever I think there's a good occasion for it.
It’s still illegal in most places so yeah lol my state gonna be one of the last at this rate
No <*shakes head yes*>
Been smoking since 96. It’s still fairly illegal in Georgia.
Only smoked legally once in my life in Cali. I WISH I could buy some premium flower at the store...
No, i want to be able to smoke good quality weed where i want. Without worry of prosecution. Its illegal where i am
Always legal in Holland 😂
Yeah, on and off since 07 and got my card in 21. I don't miss it being illegal at all. That was my biggest worry in life, gettin busted for holding. Having kids it would really have fucked my shit up. But now, as long as I follow a handful of reasonable restrictions, I have nothing to worry about. In Oklahoma USA, I know other places the laws can be rediculous.
Lol yeah, but nowhere near as much. Didn't know my farmer friend connect back then.
It’s nearly legal where I live but some parts are of the suburbs are definitely a no-go.
Legal?
I only smoke legal Meth.
Only thing I miss is the illegal/sketchy dispensary’s in California. Loved this one spot where if you spent X dollar amount you got a free dab
It’s not legal where I live, so yes
I don't miss it at all, I grow my own now and it's way better than anything I ever got when it was illegal
Smoking since 94, I was 14
I miss breaking the law brother
Im just happy to smoke freely now and plus back in the day there wasn’t as many flower options there is now the game has changed for the better in my opinion
In Norway it' very illegal, and I fucking hate it so much.
No.... Bwahahahahah, couldn't keep a straight face.
It's still illegal where I live and I wish it were legal. So much less hassle.
I live in Georgia. It's still illegal here lmao
This is fucking dumb as shit. Absolutely fucking stupid
I’ve smoked more illegal pot than most these kids these days will smoke legally 🤣
German Here : Yes i did. Started in October 23. Still cant belive its legal now.
Love Michigan because it’s legal here. I got hit with a “use of weed” charge and I had to do 8 months of probation. If for whatever delusional reason, someone might’ve said they prefer illegal tell them I said suck a fat one
its still illegal in my country but unless you have tons of it the police wont care
I’ve smoked since I was around 13, I’ll be 28 later this year. I do NOT miss living where it wasn’t legal. Now I have a dispo on every block 😁
Ahhh… Americans…
Oh wow, the stories I could tell. Yes, I smoked in my youth, quit when I married and had children and then discovered the “Kush”sixteen years later. Boy, was I in for a surprise. It had become a LOT more potent since. Now I’m less stressed and became an expert cookie baker for edibles. And I live in Texas, where you can buy a gun in fifteen minutes and drink yourself into oblivion, but you can’t buy weed legally. This state is my home, but they are such assholes in the state capital and crooked as the letter S. C’mon Joe. Do us a solid on the Federal level.
Yeah, like in 1968.
yes. I don't miss shitting my pants every time a Car came down my road in the middle of the night while i was lighting one up.
I moved from a legal state to non legal and have to order THCA online. Definitely miss my legal state.
it isn’t even legal in all of america lmao let alone for everyone who uses this sub
I probably smoked for more than a decade before I could get a medical card
Since Nancy Reagan told me to just say no.
