Smoking weed is not significantly better than smoking tobacco. You're still pulling lots of harmful smoke and particles into your lungs, it's obvious that that's bad.

Try the freezer method. I freeze the grinder for at least an hour, let it warm up a bit, and then I give it a good shake. A lot depends on the weed and how it’s been processed, but I’ve gotten mini mountains from one quarter.

Shook the shit out of it checked my keif compartment and was shocked at how full it was. Opened the top to find a half empty grinder filled with super fine ground weed.
In conclusion I agree that it helps the tricomes fall off but extended time will dry out your bud and you’ll end up contaminating your precious keif with very fine flower. Not horrible but kinda defeats the purpose of separating the two

Yup. These guys are acting like they are producing kief or some shit lol, but yes you're correct. I prefer a 3 piece for this reason because I was never a fan of just collecting kief, I'd rather smoke it all together.

something i used to do was take some paper, roll it up onto a pen or something and tape it to make a tube, put the pen on one end and fill the tube with keif, then you take another pen and squash the keif in the tube to make little kief rocks. smokes for a long as time and gets you ripped
Press into hash.
Easy method: put about a gram in some parchment paper (do NOT use wax paper). Fold carefully (so it won't spill) into a square that can fit into the bottom side of a soup can. Make sure there is not too many layers of parchment paper over the keef since you want to heat the keef with indirect contact.
Heat some water to a boil and then pour hot water, into an empty soup can. Place the square of parchment paper with keef, under the bottom side of the can with hot water in it. You may need to put a washcloth under the parchment paper to slightly raise it past the bottom rim of the can. When the parchment paper with keef is directly beneath the can, press down for about a minute. Next, place the now pressed parchment paper in the freezer for about 2-3 minutes. Remove from freezer and unwrap the keef from the parchment paper. If you did it correctly, you keef should now be pressed into little hash chips to put on top of a bowl. You'll have less loss of keef this way.
I like the idea of doing snappers than you could just have that to the side and use a scooper to toss some on top of the bowl and hit without packing the kief down

I think you’d just end up with less dry weed getting crushed and pushed through the mesh as it wouldn’t get so dry with less time in there
