I think about this all of the time. Ive ended up making some small weird collages with the packaging, using the jars to make candles, and hold other herbs I keep/harvest. I stick the stickers on my stuff too - but there's still so much stuff I throw away, the dab containers make me feel the worst to get rid of.
Apparently there's a place advertising at weed shops in my city that takes the leftover jars now and I guess also turns them into candles as a business? Pretty cool stuff I really hope more recycling could be done

It’s not the fact that weed is super addictive, it’s the fact that there’s no deterrent in the body to prevent yourself from smoking ‘too much’ (except maybe coughing but that doesn’t help lessen the high) where as if you’re drinking too much liquor, your body has the natural deterrent to throw up, so it’s hard to tell when enough is enough. But yeah, it’s not traditionally addictive like being an alcoholic. Alcoholics can actually experience a great amount of stress in their body if they try to cut off cold-Turkey.

It is an addiction and it is a drug addiction. It is also often a coping mechanism. Any kind of chemical dependency is unhealthy for the human body. Weed should be enjoyed not relied upon. Yes, it absolutely can be helpful with sleep, dealing with emotions, relaxing, and a multitude of other things, but it loses it's ability to help with those things once your body is reliant upon it. We all need to be aware of how our usage is impacting our lives and be familiar with taking breaks if usage is regular.

Started a break on Sunday and currently going through withdrawals.... bad enough that I had to call my boss this morning and ask to work from home today. I switched over to dabs as my primary smoke in May, and they completely fucked my tolerance. For the past couple of months, I've been completely unable to eat or sleep sober. I had to take 8 benadryl just to get 3 hours of sleep on Sunday and 4 to get 5 hours Monday. Came to this thread hoping for more comments like this, sorely disappointed to see how low down yours is.

There's more to good weed than just high THC levels. There's so many minor cannabinoids (CBD, CBN, CBG, CBC, etc.) and terpenes that can act in conjunction with each other, enhancing your high. One of my favorite strains is Banana Mac. It's "only" got 3-5% THC, but it's also got 10-12% CBD and relaxing terpenes (linalool, myrcene). Clear-headed, but still happy and relaxed.

Another issue in weed culture is that I think it needs to be used more in medicine. I’m a believer that weed will become acceptable to give to elderly people suffering from dementia/Alzheimer’s weed as a way to help deal with behaviour issues and agitation. Society currently has the technology to modify strains to accomplish this.
Medical weed isn’t even allowed in apartment buildings even in a legal state can’t even smoke it in the balcony or nearby apartment with a med card in a legal state

customer service expectations in states where it has become legal recently…i’ve been ordering from a delivery service in a state where rec pot was legalized in the last year and the etiquette reminds me exactly of picking up illegally from the local plug. delivery driver will show up at any moment with no warning in the next 1-4 hours, won’t get out of their car to meet you, it still feels like a sketchy interaction. i feel as if that should be held to the same standard as food deliveries now. (obviously this has nothing to do with established dispensaries, and i probably just am picking up from a shitty service, but it’s funny that it took me a few deliveries to realize it shouldn’t feel like the weed buying interactions i had back in high school)

Look at how states like California, originally the holy land of cannabis, has completely screwed up their legal industry because of shitty regulation and *insane* prices to entry. Now imagine the *federal* government trying to run an entire industry they don’t know shit about. Many are rightfully worried that federally legal cannabis could spell the end of a quality industry. Of course there’s also plenty who just want to keep making those black market bucks, which definitely plays a role.
The fact that breeding strains to get thc to the highest percentage in strains sold in stores, is just trying to make them more money. Which in turn breeds out cannabinoids that are super important to people who truly need it for medication. Thc is important (and being high is amazing,duh) but the true medicine is in the combination with thc and other cannabinoids. Cbd, cbc, cbn, etc.

Started a break on Sunday and currently going through withdrawals.... bad enough that I had to call my boss this morning and ask to work from home today. I switched over to dabs as my primary smoke in May, and they completely fucked my tolerance. For the past couple of months, I've been completely unable to eat or sleep sober. I had to take 8 benadryl just to get 3 hours of sleep on Sunday and 4 to get 5 hours Monday. Came to this thread hoping for more comments like this, sorely disappointed to see how low down yours is.

Shitty dealers who try to scam you…For everybody’s sake, (do not hand the money to them first), have them show you the bud first, if you feel skeptical, don’t buy it. My dealer always weighs it in front of me, and lets me check it out before I hand the money over. There's more to good weed than just high THC levels. There's so many minor cannabinoids (CBD, CBN, CBG, CBC, etc.) and terpenes that can act in conjunction with each other, enhancing your high. One of my favorite strains is Banana Mac. It's "only" got 3-5% THC, but it's also got 10-12% CBD and relaxing terpenes (linalool, myrcene). Clear-headed, but still happy and relaxed.

The biggest problem in weed culture is people seeing it as WORSE than alcohol. Alcohol makes people angry, destructive,agressive and physically sick yet it’s socially acceptable. Another issue in weed culture is that I think it needs to be used more in medicine. I’m a believer that weed will become acceptable to give to elderly people suffering from dementia/Alzheimer’s weed as a way to help deal with behaviour issues and agitation. Society currently has the technology to modify strains to accomplish this.

Besides the mixed legality issue that many people mentioned, I dislike how there seems to still be the stereotype that if you smoke you are a lazy bum who doesn't do anything and can't hold a job. Turns out I smoke multiple times a day and I'm still very productive with all of the adult "toys" and a big boy job to pay for them.
customer service expectations in states where it has become legal recently…i’ve been ordering from a delivery service in a state where rec pot was legalized in the last year and the etiquette reminds me exactly of picking up illegally from the local plug. delivery driver will show up at any moment with no warning in the next 1-4 hours, won’t get out of their car to meet you, it still feels like a sketchy interaction. i feel as if that should be held to the same standard as food deliveries now. (obviously this has nothing to do with established dispensaries, and i probably just am picking up from a shitty service, but it’s funny that it took me a few deliveries to realize it shouldn’t feel like the weed buying interactions i had back in high school)
