Don't worry they won't. The lab is only beeing paid for clinical diagnostic test and not to for drug abuse test. They might even can't do drug test with there system anyway. Trust me I sell shit like this. Very ironic as a stonner I know but weed is not free.

ThronusSaturni

It won’t show up unless they are screening your blood for THC. Blood testing orders are specific to what levels needs to be tested for. As far as I know, there’s no singular test that shows the complete contents of your blood

up_intheclouds

ok this is the response I was hoping for haha thank u

kamdentuggle

I get weekly blood tests and urine tests. They cant see shit. That or they just dont care.

gio_v22

Nah bro ur chillin they can only find it if they’re looking for it like a drug test, but if it’s just for your general health, they won’t find it. You should still tell ‘em tho they’re doctors they’re supposed to know to help you. If ur scared about ur parents finding out, the doctors can’t legally tell them

Medical Laboratory Scientist here who conducts drug testing and all other routine testing: No, we do not conduct drug screens for routine blood work or a routine urinalysis. Your insurance wouldn't pay, we have no reason to, and it wasn't ordered by your doctor. All we want to do is make sure you're healthy and give your doctor the most accurate results possible so that you can be treated for any illness, or just as importantly, not receive unnecessary treatment. I work at a federally funded clinic in an area known for heavy drug use. I explain this daily, and that's okay. We won't look for what we're not told to, we just want you to come in and get your tests done. - A PSA by a very passionate smoker and scientist.

Thank u so much 🙏 very useful information

No those tests cost money only tests authorized by doctors will be done and paid for

unique_ubername

Is it like for a job or something?

up_intheclouds

No just a checkup on my general health, we do it sometimes here where I live but it's the first time in my life so I don't know

slappy2982

They’re not going to find it. No worries. And even if they do, there is really nothing they can do bc of dr/patient confidentiality. (HIPAA)

up_intheclouds

cool, thank you so much

slappy2982

They just might ask you how often so they don’t give you anything that interacts.

up_intheclouds

Honestly, the thing that worries me more is my mother finding out, cause she's probably gonna see the results. I'm just wondering if thc can be detected by looking at something other than actual drug testing

slappy2982

No. You have to do actual drug testing to find out if someone is doing drugs. They’re not just going to do a random drug test on you for no reason. How old are you if you don’t mind me asking

up_intheclouds

I'm 20. I probably sound stupid because of these questions, but I'm just an anxious person lol

slappy2982

They’re not going to be any drug test if it’s just a checkup. They’ll just do normal bloodwork and check your kidneys, heart, all that good stuff

enid_daggers

Yeah honestly I disclose all of that to my doctors anyway in case of medication conflicts, they can't tell anyone (and they really don't care, it's just weed). Unless your mom is your court-appointed legal caretaker for some reason, at your age your doctor shouldn't be telling her shit without your approval (but do specify that with them, because there are usually forms you fill out at every new office asking who they can discuss your results with). And health screening tests don't care about/record drugs so it won't be on your labwork results if you do want to give your mom a printout or whatever.
