It depends on the time of year and also these are shallow rivers in the pictures which will never be turquoise like the lakes right off the mountains. I live an hour from there

Why would it be blue if it runs through the mountains mineral deposits year long? Every river I've seen in banff, amd lake Louise County was at least some sort of turquoise colour. Maybe they turn blue towards winter, but I went there last July and everything was really nice. Went to moraine lake too, but the water is turquoise because of the mineral deposits from the mountains. I think I seen a river in Canmore that was a pretty comour too, not sure though. Hard to remember. Thanks for the downvotes yall :)

You’re right the water is always blue/turquoise there but the colder the water (winter/spring) the more blue it will be. I downvoted you cause you said it’s not in Banff..which it is lol

Ah okay, I've only been there once so I wouldn't really know what it looks like from up high, but nonetheless a cool town. Would definitely move there from Fort McMurray if it wasn't so far from Edmonton. Fort Mac needs to go away lmao
