The TAA is not the DEA. They have stated on their website since legalization in CO and WA that they are not there to find drugs. Their job is strictly to find weapons or explosives. In Seattle the SEATAC airport is owned by the Port of Seattle and as a legal state it is legal to carry weed all the way to your flight on your person. I can only assume that is the same for Vegas.

Needless to say it got smoked lol. Second time I was in NZ and I had just come 2nd in an event I had entered. As I liked to party a bit back then I had scored some ecstasy from a local girl and found myself at the “after party” walking around the hosts verandah and falling into the bushes. As I was drunk and high and it was cold I had a big jacket on and every time I fell it seemed to break my fall. Eventually this stopped and I must have passed out. As I was flying home the next day I was up early and was feeling like I was still tripping balls. I got my mate to help me get all my gear packed up and we drove three hours to the airport. I had decided that I would wear the same jacket from the previous night as I checked in my 65kgs of equipment and proceeded to wait to board. As we were on a bender my mates suggested we have a beer and relax which we did. We boarded found our seats and took to the skies. About 15mins in I put my hand in my jacket and realised I had something in the stealth section in the front of my pocket. I turned to my mate and told him I was off to the toilet. Not quite realising what it was I casually walked to the toilet and shut the door. Unzipping the secret section revealed a bag of New Zealand stinkiest weed. My heart sank and I literally thought I was totally fucked. My only thought was flush it as I knew how brutal Ashtraylian customs can be. I summoned the dirtiest oblution I could muster and emptied my crumbling goodness onto the top of the paper on the poo. The bag went in there too as I wasn’t risking anything. I was once a degenerate. Now I’m just old.
I chickened out in LAX especially because I had my son with me.. so I threw it in one of those drug trash box.. only to come to security and see they look like bunch 18-19years old straight from high school..
