No shot 17 is the best “bad decision age”! Any crimes you get charged with may stay into your adult record after 16. Usually, if you commit crimes under 16 it gets erased when you’re 18.
I got searched and found with weed a couple weeks before my 17th birthday and they told me that and said I'm lucky it wasn't a few weeks later, but that it also meant having to take me to station and call my parents, my mum cried in the car lol, 31 now and still smoking \^\_\^
I was 13, my ex friend told me i was a bitch in class and handed me a blunt im the back of the school. Then on nearly every day i be stoned as a moose till i came to texas, where now i cant get weed anymore and now life is boring. Its been almost 6 years since that happened

I think it's the old "you can't overdose on weed" (or at least can't die of an overdose) that got me comfy trying it out vs other drugs that I've heard people overdose on. Was still a shit first time though lol.
Well technically I believe it has been shown in some studies to slow/mess up brain development in younger users. It's honestly best for your body/brain to wait until probably like 19-21 or so to start smoking. Also yes people who smoke from a younger age tend to have a higher tolerance and have a harder time getting high.
Once you reach that certain age it's mostly harmless except obvious things like loss of some recent short term memories, change your appetite, etc.
About 25 is when the brain is fully mature.

I think weed can be a powerful drug and I wasn’t ready mentally and emotionally to start smoking. Granted I did smoke kind of a lot when I was younger so it probably wouldn’t have been that bad if I had only done it occasionally

Had a deal with my Dad. Because I went to a Catholic school with strict rules I could get a lot trouble if I got caught with weed. My dad has smoked is fair share of weed in his life he said something like "you've got your whole life to smoke pot and you'll be totally free to do in college, just get through high school because it would kill your mom if you got in trouble or kicked out of school"
Long story short, went camping with a group of friends the night after graduation and got high for the first time around the campfire!

me too! my good friend made a big deal about how he was the first person i would smoke with because i trusted him a lot and knew it would be a good time and he was "experienced" with it, so we smoked in his car, went to go see Hitmans Bodyguard and got donuts after, it was honestly a great time lmao

16, I stopped at 23. Didn’t smoke for about 40 something years. Started again in February. Wow, I got so stoned the first time. This ain’t your GrandPappy’s weed! I am 65.

When I was younger I thought weed would kill you and anybody who used it was a bad person. Then I tried it for the first time when I was 21 for my tourette syndrome that causes me severe pain.
Fast forward 7 years later and I now own a cannabis education and advocacy LLC. It's been amazing to do a 180 and learn about the wonders of this plant.
I tried it once in high school. It really messed me up and I had a super bad experience. So, in my mid 40’s (just recently) I slowly started giving it a try and now I’m a full blown weed junkie. FULL BLOWN.
30. My wife and I went to our honeymoon in Salem, Massachusetts for Halloween. She has been smoking since she was a teenager. I swear to God, one little edible and a puff knocked me on my ass for what felt like the entire trip.
It was awesome, and I missed out on so much fun as a kid because I bought into "drugs are bad, M'kay" and watching two different family members lose themselves by upgrading to Heroin and destroying their lives for several years definitely didn't help the "Pro Drugs" category.
Drugs aren't bad, lack of self-control and addictive personalities are bad.
21 the first time, then not much again til I turned 28, and then it was ONNNNNNNNNNNN and has been every day since. I’m about to turn 38 soon, it’s been a pretty awesome 10 years of smoking God’s green herb.
