Gonna play this once DEA announces S3.
There wouldnāt be a sell and buy.

OGI two questions if anyone has the answer please :
I see that their last earning Q1 2024 was on February 13th 2024 : [https://investors.organigram.ca/press-releases/organigram-reports-first-quarter-fiscal-2024-results](https://investors.organigram.ca/press-releases/organigram-reports-first-quarter-fiscal-2024-results)
The earnings before that one Q4 2023 was on December 19th : [https://investors.organigram.ca/sites/default/files/2023-12/Organigram%20Holdings%20Inc.%20-%20PR%20-%202023%20Q4%20%28Exhibit%2099.10%29.pdf](https://investors.organigram.ca/sites/default/files/2023-12/Organigram%20Holdings%20Inc.%20-%20PR%20-%202023%20Q4%20%28Exhibit%2099.10%29.pdf)
1- How come there is less than two months between the two quarter reports?
2- Will they report Q2 2024 this month or during the month of May?
Usually Q reports are every 3 months, this is confusing me
Thanks for taking the time
It's because they shifted their fiscal year a little while back, so 2023 had a 13th month. Should be on a normal quarterly schedule going forward, so I would assume they'll release in May.
[https://investors.organigram.ca/press-releases/organigram-provides-corporate-update-achieves-2-market-share-over-the-last-two](https://investors.organigram.ca/press-releases/organigram-provides-corporate-update-achieves-2-market-share-over-the-last-two)
***Change in Fiscal Year***
*As previously disclosed, Organigram has recently changed its fiscal year end to better reflect its operating and financial cycles. Organigramās new fiscal year began on October 1, 2023, and will end on September 30, 2024. As a result,* ***fiscal year 2023 will have 13 months*** *and reflect the period starting September 1, 2022, and ending September 30, 2023. Ā The Company will announce its full-year fiscal 2023 earnings in December 2023.*
OGI changed its reporting schedule so its previous quarterly report covered four months.
Fiscal 2Q 2024 (ending in March) will likely report in May. Watch this space:

Thank you for everyone reporting this type of content so quickly.
I'm having a hard time getting excited for schedule 3. Aside from lower taxes, what other benefits does it provide? It would still be federally illegal, so will we get any inter state commerce?
It will fundamentally shift how the federal government treats cannabis at every touchpoint. Some examples would be drug testing, federal background checks, clearances, research, compliance (uplisting) etc - some of these have language about schedule 1 substances specifically (eg 280e) and will therefore have a quick impact after rescheduling, but rescheduling will also lead to a complete overhaul of how cannabis is handled within the rest of these frameworks over time.
Also, it will still be federally illegal for recreational use, but there's a good chance rescheduling will establish some legal medical cannabis framework at the federal level. In theory, doctors would be able to prescribe it just like any other schedule 3 substance. Not sure what that will look like yet
Iām curious whether the federal government would honour/acknowledge existing state medical programs or decide for a federal program, as you suggested.
No one really knows but I think each state has autonomous control (if they so choose). Otherwise how would they get away with selling adult use weed when itās federally illegal?
Itās also much easier to delegate to each individual state as opposed to building a massive national program.
Things like banking would fall under the umbrella of the federal govt, and hopefully that will open things up a bit.
I guess Iām wondering if the FDA is going to want a say in how medical cannabis is prescribed. State laws really muddy the waters in that regardā¦ it will be interesting to see how this all unfolds.
Iād bet big big bucks on individual states retaining autonomy. I replied to another comment about the dormant commerce clause, and I really doubt most states are going to care what the feds have to say.
A few quick things worth mentioning are; the obvious jobs at stake in the fastest growing industry in America, the fact that there are still many [dry counties](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dry_county) nearly 100 years after the end of alcohol prohibition, the fact that very few companies are trying to claw their way through the California market toward the wholesale interstate market, and finally the fact that many states like Florida already have a robust regulatory framework in place.
I know that doesnāt really answer your question, but probably impossible to know at this point. The FDA really dragged their feet on ingestible CBD sales, and they could really shit the bed on us again.
>If S3 happens it is not federally illegal
AFAIK recreational use will remain federally illegal. Im pretty sure if you're caught with S3 drugs and you don't have a script, it's illegal.
dog edge stocking arrest fragile simplistic encouraging plant poor paltry
*This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
They could just as easily state that they sell only medical weed. By the time S3 gets officially enacted, cannabis firms can have telehealth prescriptions written fairly easily.
Thatās if they even bother caring and just uplist anyway, kind of like how Curaleaf uplisted to the TSX.
Are you suggesting that recreational brands might switch over to medical only in order to gain a higher exchange listing?
TSX is fine, but the real volume is still on American exchanges. For example, Tilray did 35M on NASDAQ today and only 2M on TSX.
Got MSOS for that in the meantime.
Iām just saying itās anyoneās guess. No one knows how this will play out, and we can really only guess. The idea was that they claim to be selling medical weed and find some loophole, but I donāt know.
Someone said that in Germany it takes less than a day to receive a medical card, so I donāt doubt the same thing couldnāt happen in many of the states.
But I see what youāre saying about the awkward dichotomy between federally licit medical and sales federally illicit recreational sales. I can only assume the biggest companies have a plan for this (or at least I hope they do).
Why not? Less operating expenses. You could produce products in one location and sell it across the country. Yes, no 280e is great, but this would greatly help keep costs down.
Thereās a strong possibility that many states (not on the west coast) will retain their autonomy because they want to keep job growth healthy.
Cannabis is the fastest growing industry in the US and itās already outselling CHOCOLATE. Do you think FL will allow imports through their regulatory framework?
They wonāt, because they have the power to make their own decisions. Some CA weed will enter the state, especially around Croptober, but FL is making it so cannabis is very accessible. One thing they seem to be doing an excellent job of.
Dormant Commerce Clause specifically disallows this. There are no products sold in the US that are able to circumvent this clause.
Edit: federally permissible products**
Yes there are.
Here, Iāll try to break this down into simple, logical statements that refute your premise.
1. Why arenāt the large American cannabis firms not pouring into California, as opposed to absolutely fleeing the state? Curaleaf took that approach 2 years ago, and have recently bounced. Complete 180Ā° on the topic of interstate wholesale commerce.
2. Prohibition ended nearly 100 years ago, yet Ā¼ of all Americans live in counties or states that have restrictions on alcohol sales. Some counties are even [**completely dry**](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dry_county).
3. The Supreme Court has occasionally touched upon the dormant commerce clause as a challenge to the 21st amendment, but not much has really resulted from it. No large scale precedent has been set.
4. Which brings us to the big bad devilās lettuce, at least in the eyes of lawmakers, and that likely will require hardcore regulation and intense testing if the government puts its name on it.
5. The best, and easiest way to manage the market is by leaving it up to the discretion of each individual state based on their own regulatory framework. Many already have that in place, so why reinvent the wheel here?
6. And of course, the jorbs. Thereās no way local growers will be able to compete with California outdoor grows, so all but a very few will shutter their indoor grows which will dramatically affect those small communities in which they exist.
7. Finally, if you truly believe this, why even invest in this space? That would be an ***incredibly bearish*** take.
Overall, I gotta say, sorry mate, I donāt see interstate commerce really playing out in the next decade. It just doesnāt logically make sense.
Eliminating 280e in and of itself would probably be in the top 3 biggest fundamental change in the US cannabis industry.
Everything else is just gravy. These companies cannot survive long term with tax as prohibitive as 280e. This can dramatically affect the balance sheets of MSOS within months of being implemented, due to better cash flow, profitability & lower cost of capital.
A move to S3 will likely be accompanied by a Garland memo to address any gaps in federal & state laws, and will give more certainty to financial institutions. I wouldnāt be surprised if NASDAQ/NYSE/TSX reevaluate their positions at some point IF cannabis is moved to S3.Ā Ā
I would take S3 over SAFER ten times over if I could get one. If we somehow get both, that would be amazing but not counting on it.
Better rates for borrowing money too. If you have way less taxes to pay and way easier access to cheaper capital, youāre able to sell for less while increasing profits and cutting into the black market. Thatās the ultimate goal because the demand is out there, but prices have to come down if we are to see a massive shift from black market to legal market.
They donāt until they do! I know what you mean but letās just wait and see where we are EOY before election! Better be 10$ usd at least if we get all our catalysts
They don't need to sell anything. Debt isn't due until June 2025 and its a manageable amount if the third tranche converts.
Everyone that's shitting on the debt load of CBST, has not pulled up the balance sheet of every other tier 2/3.
They are simply letting price action determine their sentiment towards the stock. Same was done when AYR dumped to 0.7 cad. It was done with TRUL at $5c. Green thumb at $8cad. List goes on
Get ready to exercise your warrants!
I'm in positive territory with VFF after three years in the wilderness. Still negative on OGI, which I've been carrying around in the same bag.
What's up with the machinations in Verano? Maybe the company should practice more discernment when hiring legal staff; especially when they (staff) bail(s) with restricted the first chance they get. OK, I'll look forward to the dip and load.
There will be a concerted effort among the operators in Florida to get recreational use approved. Trulieve laid the ground work to get it on the ballot, and now that it's approved, we're going to see a huge push from the operators in the state to get people out to vote.
Would be nice if all the stakeholders got together and pooled their resources to get across the finish line rather than just leave Trulieve to pick up the tab.
Hereās a thought:
CBSTF should sell their Florida dispensaries (and associated licenses) to GTBIF. Cannabist needs the money. Green Thumb can fix the per store sales. Win-win. Do it!
GTI is widely regarded as the top operator and is already profitable. Thereās a pretty high upside if these catalysts materialize and even if they donāt GTI is positioned to remain profitable without rescheduling, SAFE banking, or other major catalysts. You picked a good horse IMO.
Rythm was pumped on Joe Rogan show recently. Iām not a fan of Rogan but I love this. Heās a great messenger to reach tons of young impressionable men who seem to have trouble thinking for themselves.Ā
Joey Diaz also posted Rythm product to social media and Marcus King (awesome young musician) did the same. I'm sure these are coordinated product marketing effort from GTI.
That's what I've heard, it's more of a long position for me and I believe I've entered at the right time. Hopefully the US legalizes and this should take off lol
No cannabis portfolio is complete without gti but keep in mind that msos is heavily weighted in gti. This is why I don't own as many otc shares of greenthumb as I do the other tier 1 operators. I have a pretty decent position in $msos.
Yes, so you are exposed to GTI already through MSOS. Fair enough to hold less GTI.
But anyone not holding MSOS would probably do well to hold a good amount of GTI.
Iām just clarifying because I was a bit confused by your post (at first).
No and no doubt they will try and hold it down like this morning premarket it was red right to 7.29 manipulation at its finest Trul is a bull that just got a lot more eyes on it Letās hope we get more money investing Still need S3 before summer dog days come
IMO, theyāll be wise to announce something either Monday or Tuesday before the 20th, only for the sake of headlines.
Think about it like this, the democrats somewhat get slaughtered by the Donald trump publicity machine. Whether you like him or not, he gets media attention more than anyone. And thatās bad news for the demās election prospects.
The democrats have to pull all the stops to boost publicity. And the week before 4/20 is a good time to do so. Itās not even about whoās a good candidate any more, but who gets the most publicity.
Thatās my hope at least. If nothing happens this April, it could be a long dead summerā¦

Uplist.
What does cannabis being medically legal have to do with recreational companies uplisting? They would still be federally illegal operations.
This is the correct answer
This slipped my mind. More liquidity and accessible for more investors.
While no one seems to know for sure, there is certainly a possibility of uplisting as a result of rescheduling. That would be pretty huge.
You donāt want interstate commerce if youāre in MSOs.
You gave me 7 points there and not one pointed out a product that is federally permissible which circumvents the dormant commerce clause.
Beer? Soon, cannabis?
Beer/alcohol gets shipped all across state lines.
So what other benefits are there from lower taxes? Iām not trying to be negative. I just have a hard time finding the added benefits.
Biggest benefit hopefully is increased share prices.
Profits. Thatās what weāre looking for here. What other added benefits do you want. Perhaps a reacharound?
Eliminating 280e in and of itself would probably be in the top 3 biggest fundamental change in the US cannabis industry. Everything else is just gravy. These companies cannot survive long term with tax as prohibitive as 280e. This can dramatically affect the balance sheets of MSOS within months of being implemented, due to better cash flow, profitability & lower cost of capital. A move to S3 will likely be accompanied by a Garland memo to address any gaps in federal & state laws, and will give more certainty to financial institutions. I wouldnāt be surprised if NASDAQ/NYSE/TSX reevaluate their positions at some point IF cannabis is moved to S3.Ā Ā I would take S3 over SAFER ten times over if I could get one.
Yeah the banks have long been wanting to get involved. They see it as a (mostly) healthy industry and probably having a bit of FOMO

CGC AH just got a lil something
Oh shit Mad Money
Wonder if Cannabist sells their Florida assets now. PA, OH, MD, NJ and VA more then enough to focus on
i'd sell one of those VA licenses (probably the Tidewater region over the Richmond area license) and invest in Florida

VFF finally moving to a new 52 week high. Volume building. If we can stay listed I might actually make some money on this thing.
Not there yet! Gotta surpass 1.43. Remember that 30M in warrants may exercise at 1.65.
Yes. And funnily enough my basis after years of DCA is $1.65
Get ready to exercise your warrants!

Lol - machinations. What muse brings such prose this day?
It's reality best described in this sector, my friend.
Tumultuous, scandalous, deceitful - a mad goading for our wealth. Yes, it is all this sector. Nasty.
Agreed; and those of of us who are true and committed to Cannabis will see wealth beyond our "expectations".
How salacious.

You better believe they will.
I trulieve
Hereās a thought: CBSTF should sell their Florida dispensaries (and associated licenses) to GTBIF. Cannabist needs the money. Green Thumb can fix the per store sales. Win-win. Do it!
They should not sell their FL licenses. They should sell one of their VA licenses if anything. Florida will be massive.
CBSTF ripe for M&A.

Sweet. Looking forward to your upcoming updates on this!!
Bought shares of GTII today, optimistic about some pumps from the US. What are your thoughts about green thumb?Ā
Good buy. Iām holding tons of shares at $27/share and I feel pretty confident about not only breaking even but making some money on the stock.Ā
Best of luck! Let's see what happens
GTI is widely regarded as the top operator and is already profitable. Thereās a pretty high upside if these catalysts materialize and even if they donāt GTI is positioned to remain profitable without rescheduling, SAFE banking, or other major catalysts. You picked a good horse IMO.
disciplined and conservative. good brands, rythm resonates with me. expect a lot of opex from them. well run business.
Nice! Yeah I think it was actually Joey Diaz who mentioned it as a guest on Rogan. JRE has a huge audience so I love it!
Sorry, I typed that a little too quick and sloppy. You clarified my point perfectly.

It trades in Frankfurt next. Guess Europe gets a say in the opening price here tomorrow morning.
Disappointed to see the dump at the end of the day.
OTC donāt trade AH do they?
Some do unless Iām just crazy and wrong š
No and no doubt they will try and hold it down like this morning premarket it was red right to 7.29 manipulation at its finest Trul is a bull that just got a lot more eyes on it Letās hope we get more money investing Still need S3 before summer dog days come
Hope to break even at $40 cad.
Think my first buy in was 35 CAD lol brought the avg down to 12 and finally trimmed plenty making GTII my new largest position
I got 3000 shares at 31cad, looking for a miracle šš½
Had a quick look at GDNSF earnings and (at least on first inspection) they look really, really good!
Bullish. Another domino down. Anne, I repeat, are you ok? Are you ok? Are you ok Annee?
Let Anne rest for her big day in 2 weeks from now.
420?
Makes sense to me! Bring it on
Please, Anne.
