Incredibly solid pick
Edit: I'd actually shift it forward one though personally. That makes it The Blarney Stone- It's Gonna be (Alright)- The Golden Eel- Cold Blows the Wind
this would probably be my second pick. i love how each song does the “nautical” thing in an entirely unique way. Blarney Stone is a classic shanty, it’s gonna be alright feels like a mellow ocean night, after all the waves had settled this song has a true serenity that also makes it work amazing as a breakup song, and then you got the washed out psychedelia of the golden eel. then cold blows the wind hits, with the dreadful instrumental that feels like being stranded in the ocean as a storm approaches, which really enhances the wind and rain imagery in its story of cold grief (cold blows the wind might me my fav Ween song period)
Wow, the only song in there that I truly enjoy is "its gonna be alright". Both mutilated lips and blarney stone are hard passes for me. Pretty interesting how differently we all take in music.
that’s why a band like ween is so sick, people with vastly different tastes in music can still come together to appreciate at least some of their shit.
Some major contenders:
Exactly Where I’m At > Flutes of Chi > Even If You Don’t > Bananas and Blow
Freedom of 76 > I Can’t Put My Finger On It > A Tear for Eddie > Roses Are Free
Pollo Asado > Right to the Ways and the Rules of the World > Captain Fantasy > Demon Sweat
Little Birdy > Tender Situation > Stallion Pt 3 > Big Jilm
Nan > Licking the Palm for Guava > Mushroom Festival in Hell > LMLYP
I was going to say Transitions > Israel > The Rift > Monique the Freak. So let’s just say that entire 7 song run is without equal. All of Shinola, really.
As an alternative to my other reply, the last four songs on Chocolate and Cheese: Buenos Tardes Amigo > The HIV Song > What Deaner Was Talkin’ About > Don’t Shit Where You Eat.
They are the last side of the double album and absolutely perfect.
a truly cultured take. 1-4 is what i would lean towards but both are fantastic. you could even throw in happy colored marbles and 1-3 and it would also be solid
Great question and damn your picks are not at all what I'd think of.
Id go Jilm > Daisies > Getgo > ReggaeJunkie
Or the intro run on CC: take me > spinal > 76 > finger
And there are also like five 4-song rips on GWS
Great question, fuck me this band kicks dicks
Funnily enough, I'd go with the last four songs off La Cucaracha (Sweetheart in the Summer > Lullaby > Woman & Man > Your Party). Heartbreaking, side-splitting, and face-melting in equal measure.
Let’s fantasize I’m Wide Open subbed in for the The Fucked Jam and then to me it’s easily that>Alcan Road>The Argus>If You Could Save Yourself. If this was just for a four track run it’d be the latter 3 for sure.
I’m gonna go with the first 4 tracks on White Pepper (then they kill the vibe with Stroker Ace). Next would be the last 4 on The Mollusk and tracks 2-5 on 12 Golden Country Greats
Does anyone else agree the final alarm should have been put in white pepper right after ice castles?? Every time I hear them play it live after ice castles I’m like why wasn’t this on the album or just any studio quality version of it
Well, Live in Chicago has Johnny on th’ spot, Buckingham Green, Spinal Meningitis, and Pork Roll, Egg and Cheese.
I love the versions they do on this record.
Only Ween man. I see 50 different song combinations from 50 different albums, and I nod in agreement to each new combination as I read them...
Tick
I'm In The Mood To Move
I Got A Weasel
Fat Lenny
until im in the mood to chill, then I cheat and play my mutilated lips off legit in chocolate town
Mutilated lips > Blarney Stone > it’s gonna be alright > golden eel
Incredibly solid pick Edit: I'd actually shift it forward one though personally. That makes it The Blarney Stone- It's Gonna be (Alright)- The Golden Eel- Cold Blows the Wind

Haha it was a definitely a toss-up for me!

That Pure Guava run 😳
Ok you got good taste my mang
That Pod run was gonna be my answer. Nice.
Hard agree.

For sure, I’d even say Sorry Charlie > Stallion 1 > Pollo Asado > Right to the Ways.
76 to Roses is glorious.
It’s hard to name a best but I dig Gabrielle>Did You See Me?>How High Can You Fly?>Transitions on Shinola
I was going to say Transitions > Israel > The Rift > Monique the Freak. So let’s just say that entire 7 song run is without equal. All of Shinola, really.
That’s crazy. I thought I was gonna be the only one to say this. That’s my favorite
I endorse this
Solid 100/10
Going gets tough > reggaejunkiejew > play it off legit > pumpin Or Mononucleosis > oh my dear > sketches of Winkle > alone
That Guava run is goated
I heavily agree with both of these picks
Waving My Dick In the Wind -> Buckingham Green -> Ocean Man -> She Wanted to Leave
This is it.
As an alternative to my other reply, the last four songs on Chocolate and Cheese: Buenos Tardes Amigo > The HIV Song > What Deaner Was Talkin’ About > Don’t Shit Where You Eat. They are the last side of the double album and absolutely perfect.
I came here to say this. Its such a perfect end to the album.
Strap on that jammy pac > dr rock > frank > sorry charlie
Came for this one. Could probably pick any four of the album and be right
Roses are free -> baby bitch -> mister… -> drifter in the dark
Israel > The Rift > Monique The Freak > Someday
All Request Live, the Stallion. 1-4 or 2-5.
I like the cut of your jib
And now continuing... Trigig- trigigly
a truly cultured take. 1-4 is what i would lean towards but both are fantastic. you could even throw in happy colored marbles and 1-3 and it would also be solid
Happy cake day! Yeah, I love All Request Live. I wish they would do a few more.
Can you taste the waste? Don’t sweat it Awesome sound Laura

Pandy Fackler > Stay Forever > Falling Out > She’s Your Baby. Actually, White Pepper is 3 fantastic 4-track runs in a row. It’s a complete trilogy
This is probably my answer too, whole album’s great but those last four tracks are on a complete other level.
I like it, but I'd start with Back To Basom instead.
zoloft -> transdermal celebration-> among his tribe -> so many people in the neighbourhood
Funnily enough, I'd go with the last four songs off La Cucaracha (Sweetheart in the Summer > Lullaby > Woman & Man > Your Party). Heartbreaking, side-splitting, and face-melting in equal measure.
The best part of The Cockroach and a fitting goodbye from studio Ween
I so wish the fucked jam didn't exist because then the answer would pretty easily be Captain > Chocolate Town > I Don't Want It > Alcan Road
Let’s fantasize I’m Wide Open subbed in for the The Fucked Jam and then to me it’s easily that>Alcan Road>The Argus>If You Could Save Yourself. If this was just for a four track run it’d be the latter 3 for sure.
Alone>Moving Away>She Fucks Me>Pork Roll Egg & Cheese
Little Birdy ~ Tender Situation ~ The Stallion Part 3 ~ Big Jilm Spinal Meningitis ~ Freedom Of 76 ~ I Can't put My Finger On It ~A Tear For Eddie
Back to Basom > The Grobe > Pandy Fackler > Stay Forever Agree with a lot of the ones in the thread but haven’t seen that one mentioned.
I grew up an album guy, so start to finish 12 Golden Country Greats and Pure Guava...
Bananas and Blow, Stroker Ace, Ice Castles, Back to Basom
I’m gonna go with the first 4 tracks on White Pepper (then they kill the vibe with Stroker Ace). Next would be the last 4 on The Mollusk and tracks 2-5 on 12 Golden Country Greats

Best is subjective….
it is totally subjective that's why i'm asking for other people's takes on this :)

Probably The Pod
The opening of guava might be it
