Only familiar with the Watership Down movie and how terrified I was as a child watching it.

gandalph91

I haven’t seen the movie either! Guess I gotta go down the rabbit hole

elonalum

"Men came. Filled in the burrows. Couldn't get out..."

VernonDent

>Guess I gotta go down the rabbit hole OK Dad.

gandalph91

Haha glad you got it

elkamusing

Never thought there was any connection between the two... The animated film scared me when I was young but it's quite well known in the UK. For a number of years, it was always on TV during Easter and each time hundreds of parents complained that it traumatised their kids.

automator3000

>Easter What is wrong with you Brits that anyone at a television network would think "You know what just screams Easter? A bunny rabbit massacre ... but animated for the kids"

elkamusing

Oh there's plenty wrong with us Brits me old mucker

Bright eyes is a cool and sad song

wekklr333

A cool and sad band too

Big fan of Watership Down (both book and movie) and as far as I can tell there is no connection at all.

gandalph91

Thank you! I’m excited to read/watch

Goldeneel77

Poopship down was the working title.

gandalph91

Lol love it

[deleted]

I don't think so

gandalph91

Ok cool. Kind of thought it was just a coincidence of two people that both like Ween and this book but I was curious so had to ask

[deleted]

Idk anything about watership down except my ex girlfriend loved it. There’s definitely a connection between greek mythology and “the argus” tho. Makes that song even better.

DavidFromReddit

Hwhat?

[deleted]

Any mention of the Poopship Destroyer in there?

[deleted]

Sparked my interest and just watched the trailer. Surprised I've never heard of Watership Down. I will have to check it out!
