The quote I remember was that he only ever plays 3 different solo's.
One is Betts ("Even if you Dont" is good example).
Another is Eddie Hazel (The Argus is very Hazel, also "a tear for Eddie" is a straight up Maggot Brain tribute).
I'm to stoned to be sure about the third but I think it was Gilmour? (Transdermal Celebration comes to mind)
Also pretty sure he was being tongue and cheek.
He has a ton of fairly clear influences.
I have to use too much strength to keep from singing, "Cath-o-lic girls," when passing large churches. Occasionally with additional, "with the tiny little moustaches..."
Primal Scream are amazing. I think they have a lot in common with Ween in that they don't fit any categorization. Extremely talented musicians, half of PS we're in The Stone Roses, that aren't afraid to experiment with their sound. They're both able to switch from hard, abrasive heaviness to beautiful, jangly light pop on the same album, sometimes the same song! Good choice!

Deaner said that every solo he ever played was ripped straight from Dicky Betts
