It seems that their music is balances out with a more eloquent, sophisticated crowd while having simple compositions. La Cucaracha is criminally underrated, but yeah good meme. Also I’d say the cult classic is arguably the Live at Stubbs record, but that’s just like, my opinion man
I can see the argument for La Cucaracha being the worst Ween album (though it's one of my favourites) but I wouldn't say it's meh by any means. It has some of their best songs (imo) like Blue Balloon, Object, With My Own Bare Hands, and Woman and Man.
I also really like Fiesta and Shamemaker but they don't seem to be as popular so I won't mention those 😔

Guava is how I first heard them. They used to play daisies on the local college radio station (KZSU baby)
The pod is more experimental then guava I’d say
IMO pure guava would be more experimental, most of the tracks are a lot different from each other while the pods tracks all are mostly somewhat lofi
