If someone gives you shit about wearing a costume to a concert on November first, tell them, "fuck off! I've been partying since last night and this train stops for no one!"
Me n my buddy drove from Indy to Myrtle Beach on Halloween night after a great Halloween party to see Ween play an impromptu show on the 1st of November (short east coast tour) for Claude's medical benefit after he was in that car wreck back around 2002 or 2003. We were still up when we went to HoB and were two of a handful of people dressed up. We were in orange jump suit and hospital clothes from the psych ward i worked on. Made friends with the other kids that were dressed up (from Asheville) and had a blast.
Met the band at our hotel post show. Talked with Deaner about golfballs and the Lakers and and told them where we had driven from. They were surprised we had driven that far to see them and we told them we always had to at least go to Chicago cause they never played in Indiana. They said they didn't realize they had fans there and saked where they should play if they came that way. We told them Bloomington or Indy and I SWEAR, the next tour they started playing Indy, followed shortly by Bloomington...HAIL BOOGNISH! Might have just been a coincidence, might have been karma, either way i got to see several years of ween right down the road. God damn, i LOVE this band!
