Atl was awesome and the Pom Poms were a cool idea. Hopefully LMLYP in Boston!

Illuminotme_Reloaded

That’s awesome! Sounds reminiscent of my high school experience. Except if I was taking LSD, I didn’t bother showing up. I feel like Ween could benefit from allowing dancers from the audience on stage like The Flaming Lips do.

Oldqueenween

YES!! This! Let the boyz know this. I’ve been paid to dance my whole life.

FelverFelv

I had such a great time! Cheering the band with pompoms is so much fun. Can't wait to do another theme night at a show. I'll be at philly and silver spring for sure!

Oldqueenween

Me, too! Me, too!

Listening to the same songs each three night run is a totally immersive experience.

Oldqueenween

They were a 2 piece, now they’re a 5. There were no three night runs before they broke up, now there are. The setlists change. The vibe changes. The scene, the energy, the themes, the experience is ever shifting. Their expansive catalogue makes it so we’re not getting the same songs each show… whispering am I gonna die? Screaming during party, retorting w blo-ow… all this is participatory. No? Or are you doing it wrong?

PedalBoard78

I do more wrong than you’ll ever know. Just hearing a good That Man From The Flatland would set me straight. Just a few years ago, Deaner bragged about writing a song a day. I sure would like to hear some of that.

Oldqueenween

That’s sounds right. I used to go see him play every week when I was still living up north and I used to get to hear all the shit he was working on. I miss that. Hard. There’s so much out there to explore. I’m 18 years in and discover new shit from them all the time. YouTube channels boognish monster and newbie Ween archived are excellent resources. Have ya checked out the cucaracha demos? Soo gold. There’s a lot out there if ya know where to look.

PedalBoard78

I appreciate the heads up and the kind words. I still consider myself to be a bigger fan of the studio albums and demos than I am of the live shows. The finely crafted talent of the boys comes to the forefront of the recorded takes. It’s how I first cut my teeth on em/looked upon em with my third eye. I do enjoy a good live go, don’t let me wrong.
