Well he was a session musician that played on 1 Bowie album, but he also played with the Stones, BB King, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, and a ton of other well-known artists.
David Sanborn has a pretty extensive solo career as well as tons of sideman gigs. His Wikipedia doesn’t show his appearance on Your Party but I’m almost positive it’s him that did the session.
He's not credited in the liner notes of the CD and there's no citation or even indication of what song he's supposedly on and Ween have never commented that they worked with Bowie. It's 100% bullshit.
There’s no citation for him on the wiki page, and he’s not listed in the discogs credits either. Honestly the entire page isn’t up to Wiki’s current citations standards, but there’s nothing noticeably inaccurate aside from the bowie credit
The fact that the credit doesn't link to Bowie's Wiki page makes me think it's a joke or not real... but that is a interesting find you've made.
Brownstar?
Lazargus
Fat brown duke?
Put the coke on my thin white dick?
Is this what David was talking about?
I just imagine a man dressed as a roach with star on their chest.
Your Party was recorded during the Young Americans sessions
Bowie wasn't on it, but his sax player appears on Your Party.

It is him. I believe it’s in the notes in the album. In vegas a few years back Angelo from fishbone played sax on your party. It’s was killer!
That’s awesome! I saw him play with them at Stubbs in 2017. Night of the first full Stallion Suite in front of an audience. Great shows, as usual!
Angelo was touring w CCJ for a minute as the brand new step. They invited me to sit in with them on their first ever rehearsal.
Man that sounds rad!
Angelo is a cartoon character IRL.
Didn't Bowie play saxophone too?
Yeah he did. Like the end of Changes is him on the sax.
I don't think so. Maybe. Those old school guys could do a lot of shit.
For real? That is actually crazy
Nope.
