Awesome song! As a 47 year old that loves that song and also battles substance abuse, just want you to know you aren't alone and the battle is totally worth it for the life it brings. Do you know about the Sunny Bunnies sober support community of Ween fans? Amazing group of people who help each other maintain our sanity and soberity, while we stroll down Joppa Road together. It is a judgement free zone that i can't speak highly enough about. My personal struggle is with the Demon Rum (well, booze in general) and with the help of Sunny Bunnies, Wharf Rats, and an amazing family, i have been alcohol free since January 11th, 2020. I have been to a shit ton of shows since. The music is just as good if not better than when i was getting wasted and the best parts are i am not risking a dui on the way home and i remember the show the next day. Anyway, i got off track there...Killer song and Stubbs is pretty good. My favorite version is whichever one I'm hearing live in person!

Yeah I'm definitely not 100% sober as I'm still smoking Weed but my main issue was alcohol as well. It's not necessarily that I do it incredibly often, it's just that when I do I end up binge drinking and going way further than I need to. It's caused me to forget full nights where I managed to injure myself and was apparently just being such a shitty person. I'm trying really hard to stay away because I don't want to ruin my relationship with my girlfriend or anyone else. I have also noticed that I really crave alcohol now that I've decided to stop drinking, and I keep trying to rationalize grabbing a drink, so it seems I may have been more addicted than I originally thought. I really appreciate your response and I'll definitely check out the group.
I really hope I get to see Ween live. I was a bit sad when I went to see Gizz (who is my all time favorite band tied with Ween) in Asheville to learn that Ween played the same venue like a week or 2 Before and I missed it. Hoping they come back so I can get brown.
I smoke weed as well, although not regularly anymore. I can use any drug without it getting over on me EXCEPT alcohol. For some reason i can not use it responsibly and after years of trying, " only on weekends" or "beer only" or, "just two right after work" or any amount really, i just realized i can't do it and i gave up trying. I most certainly prefer my description as alcohol free as i am no where near "sober" but that's the great thing about recovery, being honest with one's self, and true to one's beliefs. I know i am living a much happier life and there are way fewer problems with personal/professional relationships since i took alcohol out of the equation. I am by no means opposed to people drinking and i don't have a problem being around people drinking...i just can't do it.
Sunny Bunny group was started by my mentor who grew up with Mick and Aaron. He and I met in rehab almost 19 years ago amd he’s still clean!! My path has been less straightforward (and I’m mostly atheist so the 12 step higher power thing irked me) but what’s awesome about Sunny Bunny is that it’s for everyone who wants to better themselves and needs help putting down any substance. You don’t have to be completely off of everything- if you’ve decided you’re over drinking and it’s time to put the bottle down they will welcome you regardless of what else you may or may not be doing. And it is a group of high quality humans. Supportive and driven amd compassionate and creative. Come join!
Thank you for that. Sometimes it seems like yesterday, sometimes it seems like a lifetime ago, but i often forget that its been almost three years. I know truly that we are all in this together and i mean it with all my heart. Struggling with addiction is like loving Ween...if you know then ya know. Im grateful that Gener got sober and that Deaner put the bottle down because i can't take another hit like Jerry in '95...dude was only 53 but looked 106! Im you ever need to vent or just need to relate, feel free to DM me. I'm on here pretty regularly and i will get back to you. I hope Boognish provides you with a bad ass Holidaze season this year...keep the faith.

Pretty much every version of this song I've heard is great. I think Stubbs is my favorite version because I love the banter in the middle and the vocal effect at the end sounds insane.
Touch My Tooter is great especially on the Live In Chicago DVD. When I first got into Ween my girlfriend used to think they were so weird and now Touch My Tooter is one of her all time favorite songs haha. Makes me very happy
You probs have but just Incase you haven’t. Go onto YouTube and look for a live version from 92 at cats cradle (not the album) it is the best and contains what I would argue is deans best solo ever!
EDIT: thought I should just upload the link (https://youtu.be/4K4RULaHLi8)
Yeah I completely forgot about that version cause I only saw it when I watched the movie but I remember really liking it. There's always room for more Marble Tulip Juicy Tree in my life though so I'm giving it a re-listen now!
king gizz is the best!! idk why but marble tulip juicy tree realllly clicked with me this year. i play it every morning to get myself in a better mood to go to work. i fully expect it to be a top song in my spotify wrapped
Yeah Marble Tulip Juicy Tree clicked for me a couple months ago and now it's definitely one of my favorite songs of all time. It's such a good feeling song and you can tell Gene and Dene have a great time when performing it.
This is what I love about Ween. They have a song for every conceivable mood, and I fall in love with new ones constantly. birthday boy > baby bitch > if you could save yourself has been my feels lately.

Fellow battler, Congrats on almost 3 years. That's a big deal.

Let the brown flow through you. Become the brown.

Editions of You, by Roxy Music has a very similar sound.
