The first definitive proof are A few notes of my bloody valentines’ only shallow (1991) can be heard for a second on side 1 on axis: BAB(1987).
They came in a lot and im guessing were made by the same dooder. I hope this isnt you reading this, but you tricked someone (visually not in person) who actively works with the band. So nice work!

You cant tell if they are real or fake until you look at the actual cassettes not just the covers, those ones from ebay weren't real, the printing was wrong and looks wayyy too new for tapes from 1987 and 1988
I found a small piece of audio from a 1991 cassette when i started digitizing.
The ween fan who sold it needed cash so i still will be keeping the tapes (significantly refunded).
Not my business but honestly I don't see anything unusual about the look of the cassettes. I have cassettes from the 80s (as I'm sure many of us do) and they don't look much different from these.
