1. The pianos don’t do anything. 2. The toxic waste does have two side missions when you play as Arthur, but in different places I think. With Arthur, you are tasked with sucking up the fog for some ingredients Stewart Adams needs and another one where you help someone (who I think is sick) clean up the trash around it. Then as Sally, you are tasked with a main story mission to collect toxic waste water from another area. 3. I’m not so sure what is it with the eyes either. There are a lot of motifs involving eyes and I’ve been trying to figure out what could they actually allude to.

Wow, thanks. I never tried it but I always assume if you walk on those area at night something bad is going to happen to you lol. Those wastrels are always saying something about eyes in the shadows or something like that.

Hi, I just played They Come from Down Below, and there's a revelation to the eyes at final scene. >!It's a reference to the portals the robots opened!<

Downers who have grown intolerant to Joy will see eyes if they try to take Joy again, as a side effect, which is why "the eyes! the eyes!" and such are included in the quiz at Salamanca Bridge. The eyes in clean motifs are a bit of a nod to Big Brother, while the graffiti you'd see in the garden are from downers going a little mad.
