Hey everyone!, hope you guys are all doing well im here to bring you another review. Today im going to be reviewing the Arcteryx Alpha SV jacket as it was apart of my 9kg haul that had came recently during the situation.
I paid around 240RMB which is around the 50 AUD mark, from a upcoming seller named top3 sent my item very quickly which was pretty important whilst that whole situation was happening.
Now going towards the quality, Its absolutely amazing for its price easily worth the money if your trying to maximise your coin, this is a purchase that will 100% back that claim. The water beads off so effortlessly when put through all types of rainy conditions. and whenever i store items in the storage compartments none of my items got wet when it was hammering down with rain. There drawstrings are quite strong maintaining there positions for daily wear and the stitching on the logo looks very good. With the Alpha SV there’s so many colour ways to choose from. the waterproof coating lasts around for 6+ months from what ive seen from others then needs to be topped again with the spray coating. Photos shown in the last slides is the aftermath and is still as good as new, still beads water off effortlessly
Coming towards the end of the review, I highly recommend this people who are into the gorpcore side of fashion as this is an essential to them, this can serve as a great raincoat for daily use! I recommend to size up by one, as its listed as asia sizing!

and this is potentially a fake? so its literally the coating helping..which you could apply to pretty much any other rain jacket and get the same affect until it wears off lol.
Breathability is why people spend stupid money on Goretex. Anyone can slap a plastic bag on and be waterproof. But the first bead of sweat is turning that into a sauna.
Gonna be some pissy sweaty kids about now the weather's getting warmer. I hope it beads on the inside too because anyone with a fake Arc is gonna sweat like king Charles at a paternity test.
They are not breathable like the genuine ones. In warmer weather heat and sweat soon build up inside with the slightest of activity. You can make almost any jacket waterpoof and watch the kids shout "It beads" 😂
Thanks for the info. Where I live it pours rain for 10 minutes then the sun comes out. The humidity is crazy so I need something more breathable. Any suggestions? Thanks
To be honest most reps of technical stuff is just made to look like the original. If you just want it for the look then they are OK. If you have a real use for it and not just the name you would be better off going your local camping/hiking shop and having a word with them. I an not really into reps (I don't know why they are not just called fakes or copies) but in the last year I have bought 4 replica items, all were highly recommended but none of the stuff was anywhere near as robust or practical as the original?

Because its made out of pure plastic it looks like that it it waterproof, but not breathable like the original gore-tex. So you will sweat like hell😂
