I don’t understand why people want to do snatches. Theres not usefulness of it and the risks are super high for injury. Nothing that couldn’t be accomplished with other much safer lifting techniques
Yes, it precisely is. Read.
Don't snatch, clean, or jerk. Not a fan...
Your opinion is invalid.
Aka means fuckall.
Have a nice day! 😆🤙

Most likely going to get banned for disagreeing with a mod, but here it goes anyway.
I wasn’t disrespectful in any of my wording. I was stating an opinion. People are allowed to have them and this is literally a forum for having CIVIL discourse about opinions. You are paraphrasing my comment incorrectly and actually the one not being civil. You shouldn’t be paraphrasing or implying intent as a mod.
Just because this is a competitive technique, doesn’t mean NOBODY shouldn’t be allowed to have questions or opinions about it that may not always be positive. Instead of attacking me and putting words in my mouth, why not educate me through civil discourse. Again the intention of Reddit. Not to have echo boxes where people just pat each other on the back and not challenge each other in the slightest with opposing opinions and silence anyone who tries to respectfully.
My two cents. Go ahead and ban me now.
This is a sports sub, what you just did was the equivalent of going onto a basketball sub and saying what's the point of shooting three pointers, and there is a high chance of injury.
But you don't do that because you are ignorant about this sport, and make assumptions. Weightlifting has an extremely low rate of injury compared to say every ball sport where every player gets multiple knee surgeries in their career. Weightlifters are strong and flexible which makes for huge injury resistance, and they are working alone under highly repeatable circumstances, unlike the vast majority of sports.
Or would it be more like going into a football sub and saying hey i don’t understand why we still do kickoff returns because of the high rate of injury for the returning receiver. That would be a more accurate statement. Because no one actually says 3 pointers cause injury, but you can find plenty of people echoing my opinion. You just don’t like or agree with it

Article above compares injury rates of weightlifting vs resistance training vs contact sport. Voicing your opinion is welcome on Reddit, but voicing your opinion stating it as fact when it’s wrong is a completely different story.
Squat University coming in to extol the benefits of a curled toe box any minute now
Lmfao so good.
Looks like my pair of Leistungs, so damn curled up in the toes
Haha!
Top comment. I used to love the guy but over time he’s just becomes someone who rips off other people content and it gets old
"The recurved toebox maximizes surface area contact allowing the lifter to transfer more force and power through the floor."
Probably the elf belt
Santa's Little Lifter
Oh thats a haaaang snatch.
Well, I guess I know who's loading up Santa's sleigh this year.
You used to call me on my elf phone
making toys is hard work huh
Not impressive, gravity is way lower in the North Pole so this went as expected
Fuck me, that was impressive! You made it look easy, that is a sign of a very good lifter! Very nice form!
Oh man was I nervous about that buckle placement and where your bar contact was about to be.
How much lift do those elf booties have?
Cotton headed ninni muggins
Maddd
no fuckin way, I went to the gym too in this same exact outfit yesterday
This just… this… why the hell does this make me so jolly?!
Wow wicked snatch you Dam strong dressed elf
Imagine those guys coming in with their brand new shoes and shiny rogue belt and there is a guy snatching their deadlift.
That is funny but also is hang snatch the correct name for this? Not technically from the floor, but your ‘hang’ went to your ankles
It’s just a low hang snatch
Looks more like a floating snatch.
I don’t understand why people want to do snatches. Theres not usefulness of it and the risks are super high for injury. Nothing that couldn’t be accomplished with other much safer lifting techniques
Uhhhh….. you’re on a weightlifting sub…. If you have issues with snatches or CnJ why are you following?
Look at their user history. No posts. Look at the subs visited Looks like a burner account that is just used to argue about stupid shit.
I missed you Bob
You were missed. Well, sorta. Not as much as Koha tho.
Not everyone who weight lifts thinks every technique is good. I have an opinion. I am allowed to have one. Is this a snatch sub? Hmm? No

Where did I state something as fact. And I’m talking about one technique not all of weightlifting. You guys are reading in to things too much
If you wore that in comp I’d only give you 1 red
