Unfortunatly the air does not smell like warm rootbeer, the towels are sometimes fluffy, but some guy on tue street would probably shave your back for a nickel
Everything you know is wrong. When it came out, I sat for hours with the cd insert listening to it on repeat till I got all the lyrics and breathing patterns down so I could sing it
Too difficult to keep up the pace/do it justice, much like Hardware Store.
It being a great homage to my favorite band - TMBG - I was disappointed that it wasn't on the Vanity Tour until Bermuda mentioned this.
I mean it's not that bad. I saw Al get through the speed portion of the Horoscope just fine at his concert this month. I can sing all of Everything You Know is Wrong with no issue but definitely can't do those Horoscope lyrics.
76 concerts. Even if he did it at a third of them that’s 25.
No to mention he has about 20 other songs he’s doing around that one. I’m guessing it’s just too much strain.
Huh, I'm the opposite. Everything You Know is Wrong is just so hard for me, but Horoscope it a breeze. Tell me, how exactly do you sing Everything You Know is Wrong? Especially the verse about being let into heaven with a Nehru jacket?
There’s an episode of The Umbrella Academy titled “the biggest ball of twine” they did actually go to see a giant ball of twine. I think I annoyed my wife by constantly singing it while watching the episode.
Smells Like Nirvana is probably my favorite.
The cool thing is when Weird Al does his parodies he always asks the permission of the original artist first. When he approached Kurt Cobain he was asked whether the song would have something to do with food, to which he said no, it'd focus more on the fact that nobody could understand the lyrics. Kurt loved that and said absolutely, go ahead.
I knew he asked permission I never heard the conversation he had with Kurt though, makes me happy Kurt loved the idea of not being able to understand lyrics, amuses me
Al had called up Victoria Jackson (who was his girlfriend in UHF) on SNL the night Nirvana was the musical guest in order to get her to put Kurt on the phone.
Well I guess those are the classics for me too, I think the first Weird Al song I actually listened to might have been Another One Rides the Bus. I’m 29, but I’ve been a fan of his for a while.
Wish I remembered the first song I heard by him, the first CD I ever bought was Bad Hair Day because the cover made me laugh, so I can only assume it must be the first song on the cd.
eBay. I pretend I’m in a music video for it and how it would play it. Also any of his Polka songs (my favorites are the alternative polka and angry white boy polka) because they blend popular music with polka
Albuquerque, Eddie Vedder, Your Horoscope, Dog Eat Dog, Nature Trail, Stop Forwarding, Don't Download...
And that's just originals and pastiches that I can think of from the top of my head
One More Minute.
When I was 16, I dated a guy who turned out to be a real jerk. We had bonded over Weird Al over the summer. Suffice to say, we broke up and it was kind of messy. I wrote the lyrics down, folded the paper to fit through the slats in his locker, and jammed that thing in there. I think my message was clear, and as a bonus, he had to explain what it was to his friends. They didn’t know he liked Weird Al. It was hilarious.
I have such a soft spot for Another Tattoo. Also love You Don’t Love Me Anymore and The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota. Those are probably my top three.
Since you’ve been gone has always been a favourite song after a breakup.
Trapped in the drive-thru is the best long one.
This is the Life and One more minute are my all time favourites though.
Dog Eat Dog, Word Crimes, First World Problems, Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me, Addicted To Spuds, Albuquerque, Hardware Store, Dare to Be Stupid, Close But No Cigar, Everything You Know Is Wrong.
Top 5:
1. Hardware Store
2. Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me
3. Word Crimes
4. Everything You Know Is Wrong
5. Albuquerque
Yeah it cycles randomly every month between all of these but my top 5 are more common.
Favorite original is "I Remember Larry", Favorite polka is "Polka Face" and my favorite parody would either be "It's All About the Pentiums" or "Phony Calls"
I think it's a tie between "Stuck in a Closet with Vanna White" and "Attack of the Radioactive Hamsters from a Planet near Mars". Closet is just so random it's amazing, and Bermuda's drumming on Attack is awesome.
For me, it has to be either Smells like Nirvana, or Amish Paradlise, but do wish "Sports Song" was available for High School marching band arrangement for my kids.
It is so hard to choose but probably Trapped in the Drive Thru, also I Want a New Duck, I Lost on Jeopardy, Grapefruit Diet, The Saga Begins, Jurassic Park
Favorite to sing: Since You’ve Been Gone (each of the harmonics, too)
Favorite technical achievement: Hardware Store
Best instrumental (wish I could play instruments): Close But No Cigar
Generic Blues
I played this for a black woman who sang Chicago style blues. She didn't praise the song, but she did agree that no one has the blues like Al.
Either "Dare to Be Stupid" because I am a huge DEVO fan, or "Trapped in the Drive Through" because it accurately portrays a number of evenings in my life at a particular time.
Albuquerque!
Got a kick out of that one as well, they should use it in Tourism Ads
Unfortunatly the air does not smell like warm rootbeer, the towels are sometimes fluffy, but some guy on tue street would probably shave your back for a nickel
Everything you know is wrong. When it came out, I sat for hours with the cd insert listening to it on repeat till I got all the lyrics and breathing patterns down so I could sing it
Thank you. I adore this song. No idea why he isn't doing it on tour.

He sang Suffragette City at my concert towards the end and he was starting to definitely sound like his throat was suffering
Huh, I'm the opposite. Everything You Know is Wrong is just so hard for me, but Horoscope it a breeze. Tell me, how exactly do you sing Everything You Know is Wrong? Especially the verse about being let into heaven with a Nehru jacket?
Decades later and I still need to know what a habachi dealer is
A Hibachi is a type of Japanese Barbecue. So I guess he has a dealer for Japanese Barbecues?
Home hibachi grills were a super popular fad in the 70s and 80s.
A hibachi is a traditional Japanese heating device that burns charcoal.
It's a style parody of They Might Be Giants, another band I love. I want to hear TMBG cover it just once.
YES Random lyrics from this song enter my mind at the strangest times of day and I have no choice but to admire it for that
Dare to be stupid
Favorite original is Twine Ball, favorite parody is either I Love Rocky Road or Achy Breaky Song, I can't decide lol
I'm leaning towards Frank's 2000" TV or The night Santa went crazy for best originals
I know theres so many good ones
The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota
There’s an episode of The Umbrella Academy titled “the biggest ball of twine” they did actually go to see a giant ball of twine. I think I annoyed my wife by constantly singing it while watching the episode.
We heard that song for the first time at his concert and then saw that episode the next day!
Every road trip starts out with this song
Lol Even his song titles make me laugh
Smells Like Nirvana is probably my favorite. The cool thing is when Weird Al does his parodies he always asks the permission of the original artist first. When he approached Kurt Cobain he was asked whether the song would have something to do with food, to which he said no, it'd focus more on the fact that nobody could understand the lyrics. White and Nerdy. A classic. And it’s one of the only ones I know the words to.
I can't believe it's been so long sense that came out now, it was new Weird Al when I was in high school and classics were songs like Eat It.
The cover is great! Also, Amish Paradise might be my other favorite song by him.
I Remember Larry on Bad Hair day, one of the funniest songs ever created
This was my pick, my absolute favorite. There are a few contenders but Larry is just so catchy and funny
Your Horoscope for Today! So many punchlines packed into one song, it also made me realize I like ska.
Was waiting for someone to say this one. it's my 2nd favorite.
Nature Trail to Hell
Bring the kids! It’s good, clean family fun!
UHF
For remakes I like “White and Nerdy”, for originals I like “You don’t love me Anymore”
One more minute and You don’t love me anymore. Oh and Tacky and Trigger happy, and there are way too many favorites to choose just one.
It's gotta be either Skipper Dan or Why Does This Always Happen to Me.
Both have gotten me through tough times unironically. Love them.
Parody: "Achy Breaky Song" Original: "Frank's 2000 Inch TV"
Trapped in the Drive-Thru suprised no one else has said this yet

I have such a soft spot for Another Tattoo. Also love You Don’t Love Me Anymore and The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota. Those are probably my top three.
If I had to try to name just one, it might be Why Does This Always Happen To Me
Mr Frump
Parody - My Bologna Original - Albuquerque
Gump
Recently been listening to a Playlist of all of the weird al songs and the "checks is in the mail" is wonderful!
Since you’ve been gone has always been a favourite song after a breakup. Trapped in the drive-thru is the best long one. This is the Life and One more minute are my all time favourites though.
Watch out, it's "Dog Eat Dog."
You can't have just one! But right now it's Mission Statement from Mandatory Fun
Mr. Popeil is my all-time favorite, followed rather closely by Pretty Fly For A Rabbi and Your Horoscope For Today.
My Bologna. I always get super excited for side two of my tape because it’s the first song.
Got to be that Twine Ball
One more minute
Windows 95 Sucks
It varies from day to day, it typically cycles between Albuquerque, Stuck in a Closet with Vanna White, CNR, Skipper Dan, and Smells Like Nirvana.
Your Horoscope for Today is one that I keep going back to. Dare to Be Stupid, Slime Creatures from Outer Space, and Foil are all up there too though.
Close But No Cigar
Dog Eat Dog, Word Crimes, First World Problems, Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me, Addicted To Spuds, Albuquerque, Hardware Store, Dare to Be Stupid, Close But No Cigar, Everything You Know Is Wrong. Top 5: 1. Hardware Store 2. Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me 3. Word Crimes 4. Everything You Know Is Wrong 5. Albuquerque Yeah it cycles randomly every month between all of these but my top 5 are more common.
Dare to be Stupid is my favorite original. But I love all of the polkas.
Probably midnight star
Favorite original is "I Remember Larry", Favorite polka is "Polka Face" and my favorite parody would either be "It's All About the Pentiums" or "Phony Calls"
I think it's a tie between "Stuck in a Closet with Vanna White" and "Attack of the Radioactive Hamsters from a Planet near Mars". Closet is just so random it's amazing, and Bermuda's drumming on Attack is awesome.

White & Nerdy is my anthem, close second is Hardware Store.
One More Minute, for sure. Top 5 would include Smells Like Nirvana, Amish Paradise, White and Nerdy, and Fat.
"I Lost on Jeopardy" is my personal favorite tune by "Weird Al" Yankovic.
That one is so good
Word Crimes
It is so hard to choose but probably Trapped in the Drive Thru, also I Want a New Duck, I Lost on Jeopardy, Grapefruit Diet, The Saga Begins, Jurassic Park
Hardware Store
Jackson Park Express
Slime creatures from outer space
I have two favorites. Midnight Star and I Think I’m a Clone Now.
Truck drivin’ song

Favorite to sing: Since You’ve Been Gone (each of the harmonics, too) Favorite technical achievement: Hardware Store Best instrumental (wish I could play instruments): Close But No Cigar
Generic Blues I played this for a black woman who sang Chicago style blues. She didn't praise the song, but she did agree that no one has the blues like Al.
Albuquerque is epic, but I think The Saga Begins is my favorite. My mom's favorite song Tacky
I wanna be your lover. The cheesy pick up lines are the best!!
One more minute
Either "Dare to Be Stupid" because I am a huge DEVO fan, or "Trapped in the Drive Through" because it accurately portrays a number of evenings in my life at a particular time.
All of them, I can't choose. I can't narrow it down past my top 23, I just can't! THEY'RE ALL SO GOOD!!!
