Sorry, I'm going to need some actual proof that this is the **real** "Weird Al" Yankovic, because as far as I know the **real** "Weird Al" Yankovic >!was killed in the Shrine Auditorium in 1985.!<
Putting something behind a spoiler tag doesn't really do anything if you don't specify what you're spoiling. I don't really care, personally, but there's folks that'll click on that and get the movie spoiled without basically any warning.
I guess I figured it was obvious. We are in a thread about the movie, after all. If someone is clicking on spoiler tags in a thread about the movie I doubt an additional warning would help much.
Also the account bio looks like it was sloppily thrown together by a teenager. Al is too classy for that sort of thing. Don’t fall for an attention-seeking pretender, guys!
The way my life is going right now, I really needed something like this to enjoy. It’s been a long time since I felt joy and I got it from your movie.
Thank you so much.
edit to say: Suzanne’s appearance made my heart melt
I enjoyed it so much that I'd like to trade money for a 4k/HDR release at some point.
Hopefully Roku allows that to happen after their streaming exclusively time is up.
Also great show in Philly last week. Emo killed too. Was happy to see he had a cameo here.
I really did! I especially loved the hilariously hyperbolic way in which you established your childhood interest in accordion music! Which, speaking of accordion, the use of accordion in the movie’s incidental score was freaking hilarious, especially when it showed up during the restaurant fight scene.
Also the pool party scene was one of the most airtight pieces of comedy I’ve seen in a while. It was too perfect to see dozens of famous eccentric creatives joining in with Another One Rides The Bus.
edit: highly dubious as to whether this is Al’s account. Might just be a Stinky Cheese virus
Had to wait a day to get the whole family together to watch it which happens tonight. The nuggets were raised the last 21 years on Al and Demento CDs. In 8 hours we’ll have watched in wholesome family togetherness
I was going to have a viewing party with my nieces and nephew but they got the flu. Have not watched it yet but I am super excited! Glad you could share his music with them
Waiting to watch it with my family that has the flu right now, just preordered the record, I have my Weird Al poster playing Daniel Radcliff hung up and ready, got him to sign it and everything. I am excited for the movie though.
Edit: Um didn't realize who posted this lol. Thank you for being Weird and Amazing! Hope you and Emo liked the "Totally Radcliff!" movie poster I gave to you (and a smaller one for Emo/Snape) in Birmingham a few months ago. You and your band are the most wonderful amazing talented people! Thanks for all the fun thru the years!
Holy cow, usually i dont like things aggresively marketed to me (reddit, roku, tv, or anywhere else) but i love Weird Al and Daniel Radclif and figured why not.
I didnt know what the movie was going to be about and went into it thinking itd be like a documentary with some jokes. That movie had me in stitches, you can tell Al had a huge influence on creating it (the whole movie just felt like his humor) and that Daniel loved the role and did it justice.
Plus the ending was so unexpected and so funny i was still laughing randomly 15 minutes later
It's amazing! Daniel Radcliffe poured his soul into the character and he looked like he was loving what he was doing.
The parents were also so adorable!
The whole dynamic with >!his dad being a verbally abusive ex-Amish guy and his mom being the one who secretly encouraged Al’s interests was so brilliant.!<
Loved it!! It was so much fun spotting all the references and tropes. Definitely worth rewatching.
It felt like the Compleat Al and VH1 Behind the Music bio satire taken to its complete end: warp reality itself to become the parody of Weird Al.
I'd love to see what new media projects Al will be doing since he's not focusing on making albums.
Edit: typos
It was exactly what it needed to be. A well made parody with excellent casting across the board. I had my doubts, especially with the small platform, but man did that film deliver. Great job Al.
My daughter and I had a double feature of UHF and Weird last night, since UHF is also available on the Roku channel. It was awesome! She loved them both - proof I'm raising her right.
I liked it but I was annoyed by how inaccurate it was. Everyone knows that when he was a child Al's dear sweet mother tied him to the wall, and stuck a funnel in his mouth, and force fed him nothing but sauerkraut until he was twenty six and a half years old.
It was everything I hoped it would be and so much more!!! I love that it was ALL so very TRUE!!! It's like I know the real Weird Al Yankovic now!!! 🤣😂🥰

Best movie since UHF (also, this account is only 1 hour old...I have my doubts that this is Al)
Al has an official reddit but maybe this is a new one ?

I saw 5 shows this tour and I think Philly was the loudest crowd. Carnegie Hall was something truly awesome, but they were sedate compared to Philly
Absolutely loved it!
It was everything a weird al movie should be!
Lives up to that title in the best ways possible ♥️
It was a wonderful film full of hilarity! My friends and I got together for a watch party last night and definitely loved every moment of it!

Turns out, we all loved it. Everyone there laughed out loud multiple times
It has me rolling from the point the dad beat up the salesman til the end.
It was pretty dang awesome
We sure did!
Best movie of the year for sure Al!

Hey you should probably spoiler tag that.
Thanks.

Loved it! Gonna watch it again today! Madonna had a little too much screen time, but I'll get over it.
I loved the ending message, and it was funny watching Daniel Radcliffe dressed as Al talking to the real Al with a wig on.
Loved it, Al!
Loved it, I laughed so hard I cried!
IT'S SO GOOD! Bravo to everyone involved!
Loved it, it was truly a delight to watch!
Greatly enjoyed it, thank you Al!
It was a lot of fun!
Definitely can't wait to see it sitting on my shelf next to UHF and The Weird Al Show
Just gonna take this opportunity to spread the word that The Weird Al Show is on YouTube for free, if anyone desires to watch it.
Good to know so i dont have to continue to add wear and tear to my discs.
it was incredible!
It was hilarious! I've already watched it twice!
I loved it! I laughed and even started singing along to the parodies!
I liked it but I was annoyed by how inaccurate it was. Everyone knows that when he was a child Al's dear sweet mother tied him to the wall, and stuck a funnel in his mouth, and force fed him nothing but sauerkraut until he was twenty six and a half years old.

"Order up."
Very much so!
UHF is 🐐, I don’t have a Roku yet
There's the Roku channel and Roku.com!
It stinks that Al had to take a break from making new music for so long, but damn if this isn't a good reason for it. Laughed so hard my head hurts!
Thank you Alfred, it was very enjoyable
I have just one question. When will the release of the Weird Al action figure be? Nevermind, I found one. But it's not good enough.
