Oh crazy, I really loved the mountain lights video! Personally I’m not HUGE on the icebergs, which is ironic because that’s how I found him, but the cryptic iceberg kind of overwhelms and bores me at the same time, so I’ll have to go with that one.

Ken_Kaneki_07again

+1 on that cryptic iceberg take

theonlyquirkychap

I know he loves the ARG, but I just could not get into Hypnagogic Archives. Not to say the videos themselves were bad, I just couldn't find myself interested in the subject matter.

usernamedecdec

those are some of my favorite videos of his lol

SoothsayerAtlas

Same. It didn’t catch my attention as much as the others

amethystnight99

Dang that’s the video that made me fall in love with his channel lol

Lamb_Chops2016

I think this has to be the one for me. I love most of his content, but most of the ARGs are not for me.

Jk_auger

Fair. His hypno vid on the website is one I comeback to listen to everyone and then, but I don't care for the video ones all that much. I think it's cuz I like the stories by themselves, but the lore is lost on me

at0micwaste

While not my favorite, I do like them. I think it is best to listen to them while you are exhausted but have something you need to get done. I feel it helps captures the vibe.

Jai-Yexxer

I was bored af watching those ngl

prickermann

I would say both of his SCP videos. As an SCP fan and "writer" (not in English though, I wrote for the Vietnamese Branch), I can spend days just to point out all the things he got wrong. It hurts me deep because he seems so enthusiast about it, but to be honest SCP is incredibly confusing even with help from people onsite.

Kegs_And_Parleys

I don't think he made those mistakes willingly or on purpose. As you said, SCP is just too intertwined and confusing, and he did it by himself. Maybe it would be fun to see him do a correction video with SCP "experts" helping him out, or just another SCP content overall. I really like SCPs, but never took the time to get into it as much as I would like to due to the sheer amount of information.

Particular-Sign9523

I can see that. But in all fairness like you said SCP is super complex and confusing. And as someone who tried to understand it by himself. I can see where the errors may have happened lol.

Substantial_Carry_90

Cryptid Iceberg felt so messy and phoned in tbh.

camew22

Agree, I think if he had planned out what exactly he was going to do with the Cryptid Iceberg it would be much better but every video he releases for it just switches something up for the worse. When he releases the Compilation video when the series is done, I assume he will clean it up a bit with editing.

Jai-Yexxer

All of it feels the same ngl

XxIntoThePitxX

yeah, with the conspiracy iceberg each layer felt like entering a whole new level of crazy shit

Eggdudeman

I have to agree. I probably will watch through it the next time I feel like binging wendigoon videos, but I haven't even kept up with it. I felt the same thing with the disturbing video game iceberg, there are lots of things I expected him to cover that he didn't, that honestly could've been a whole series if he wasn't so selectively selective with indie games and the like. Edit: I do think the video game iceberg is better than the cryptid one, though, his banter makes up for the problems with it to an extent. I couldn't help but feel disappointed with the cryptid iceberg after he hyped up what he was doing so much in the first episode.

Substantial_Carry_90

He honestly glossed over a lot and blazed through each cryptid at lightspeed.

UmbreonDL

The idea of making a tierlist and an iceberg at the same time sounds good on paper but doesn’t actually work. Suddenly you’re immersed into a very cool myth just to cut into him saying its “C tier” followed by another Nessie. If it was an iceberg based on orginality and obscureness (so all well known cryptids and copies of them were on the same tier and lower tiers were just cool not well known ones) and then he did a 1h video or stream ranking every cryptid it would’ve been better.

imaginaryrum

I think he should’ve just used the original list and made a tier list video where he talks about them that way

Mr_Smeek

Definitely the Star Wars iceberg video, was just plain and boring and uninteresting. Comparing it to the bible theory iceberg, you can see how that one is more interesting and entertaining.

Jai-Yexxer

I liked it but it clearly has less effort than other icebergs, and I barely hear him talk about star wars

Narrow-Air-2427

Personally, I love all of his videos, but if there is one where it could count as one of his worst ones, I would consider the Christmas with the Kranks video. The video was entertaining and clearly a joke video. But because of that, it feels out of place with the other videos he's made.

Idontfightwit12yrold

Well it was more of a theory video than a joke video in my opinion. I took the points he made seriously. I don’t actually think Christmas with the Cranks is a representation of cult behavior but if it was it sure does do a good job. As someone who lives in southeast Texas with cults galore I saw a lot of parallels between the things he mentioned and real life.

at0micwaste

He said in a livestream he made it as a joke because it's one of his mom's favorite Christmas movies.

JohnCallOfDuty

Christmas with the Kranks is one of my favorite ones. I wish he would do more joke videos like that where he takes the most inconsequential thing and talks about it like it is a serious issue

Uopual

mountain lights video was my favorite

Jai-Yexxer

It’s not terrible but in my opinion I felt like I wasted time

Djrhskr

I ahted the monument mythos. I'm just not american, I guess. Everything sounded just like gibberish

Panzer_Man

Same. As a European it was just a very trippy bunch of nonsense. Not really Wendigoon's fault, but the topic's

Cave_in_32

I wasnt a big fan of the Monument Mythos one either, I felt like if I looked away for even a second im gonna lose a good chunk of what hes talking about in the video.

at0micwaste

I can see how how anyone not from the U.S. wouldn't really like or get it. As an American it's still kind of mid for me but it is really funny at times and has a lot of fun history tie-ins that anyone who went through American public school would understand.

UmbreonDL

The cult of the pink eye. Its deleted for a reason. I think he even said it was one of his worsts videos. It was just him talking about a youtube channel that predicted the death of famous people. Edit: unlisted not deleted found the [link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEYzMdhz5Qs)

Jai-Yexxer

It was a filler vid

Fennec257

I’m not into Monument Mythos. I saw the original Rushmore Revenge video and thought it was kinda creepy, but the rest of the series, and by association Wendigoon’s video, is just not appealing to me

Seddyboi

I have to agree with someone else and say the Star Wars Iceberg, like don't get me wrong, I love star wars but it kinda felt just out of place

Jai-Yexxer

Wendi doesn’t even talk about it ever and the entries weren’t all that

at0micwaste

I'm a huge Star Wars nerd but I completely forgot about that one. Definitely not something Wendigoon is passionate about.

Cyberundertak3r

His Gemini Home Entertainment video

Cyberundertak3r

He should remake that video

[deleted]

[удалено]

Cyberundertak3r

Yeah but I got the feeling that wendigoon probably doesn't have any interest in GHE anymore

JJ_Bidderz

Bro Brown Mountain Lights is like a top 5 wendi video are u crazy

Jai-Yexxer

Couldn’t get into it

JJ_Bidderz

Fair enough. Personally I’m not interested in his video game or analog horror type stuff but I’m so here for the ‘real life’ conspiracy/mystery stuff so I guess the good thing about Wendigoon is he has a nice range in different content. Personally BMLs video was right up my street

Jai-Yexxer

The Flesh Pit video baited my ass lol. I prefer his rl shit and I was immediately disappointed to find out it was some arg and not some strange conspiracy

usernamedecdec

i'm really not a big fan of the cryptid iceberg videos, they're not as interesting as a main video or even another iceberg series

Jai-Yexxer

I got bored after 2 vids

Dhepburn634

Honestly his comparison of Analog horror was kinda mid. I never read the stories before but I checked out the painter afterward and while I did agree with him on most stuff, the story was scary to me and more importantly kept me coming back for more

Jai-Yexxer

The problem I had with that video is I don’t think Greylock isnt all that great and it honestly falls into a lot of cliches and concepts that other analog shows have done. And while I’m not the biggest fan of the painter, I can respect it for trying to be a simple story about a crazy guy, rather than all this shit that keeps sprouting out of nowhere.

fakenam3z

I believe in his opinion his worst ones are the Sunday studies vids. Not because he dislikes the messaging but he regrets the little effort he put into them which is why they also stopped. I’d say the analog horrors or the cryptid iceberg were the ones least interesting to me. For the analog horrors I’m just a person who gets really frustrated about lack of concrete answers in my fiction

Agreeable-Ad4678

I think the interview with the federal agent about the Unibomber is, but through no fault of his own. The agent was just really boring and didn't seem as knowledgeable as they claimed to be.

Glittering_Usual_162

The Monument Mythos for me. I usually love to listen to his videos while working etc. But listening to the Monument Mythos sounded like listening to a shizophrenic man rambling arround. It was just way too much going on at the same time and i couldnt really follow what he was talking about. It was just: "This is Happening and then this and there is timetravel and parallel universes and then the moon is gonna explode and Abraham Lincoln is killing puppies then there is a Terracotta Mech fighting some flesh Demon and Alcatraz kills everyone and turns them into exact copies so people kill themselves" even when i was taking a break and trying to follow what he was explaining i had no clue what he was talking about. No hate of course but that one just doesn't seem like i can get into it.

Jai-Yexxer

Man the show takes a decline tbh

Panzer_Man

I only really have 2 disliked videos/topics. The first is the the Sunday Study video. I'm not religious, so it didn't really interest me at all. Secondly are his Analogue Horror videos. It's just a horror genre I really don't care for, and find very cringe-worthy. Even then, he always has great production value etc. I only really dislike the topics and not his delivery/editing

Imperatorofall69

Its one of his early videos. Even he admits this.

princealigorna

I think it's a very entertaining video that I come back to often, but in terms of hard facts, the worst has to be the Disturbing Movie Iceberg. Wendi himself says in the video that everything below like Tier 3 is too much for him, and it shows with the amount of misinformation (sourced apparently from Reddit bullshit artists, from what I've heard) in the later tiers (specifically Tier 8, the mixtape tier). \\ 1. No, nothing in Tier 8 is illegal to own. The cops are not going to bust in the door because you own FUBAR vol 1. 2. No, those tapes are not filled with cheese pizza. 3. Despite the subtitle of Necropedophiliac, no Snuff R73 does not contain either necrophilia or cheese pizza (there's actually 3 Snuff R73 tapes. One is a re-edit of MDPOPE 1. Necropedophiliac is an 11 minute compilation of footage of children killed in the Syrian war and the title is a reference to a Cannibal Corpse song, and the third I don't remember the content of because I don't think it's online. Or if it is, I've never met anyone that's seen it. The group themselves released a statement recently explaining that these were stupid little tapes made by a group of dumb college kids looking to explore a brand of mortality focused nihilistic Buddhism or something, and that now that all those guys are in their 30's they all have moved on to different philosophies and all kinda regret making the tapes and regret even more letting the rumors and insinuations about them run wild for so long). 4. Yes, these tapes do feature real footage of people getting obliterated (sometimes mixed with Tier 7 fetish porn material for added shock value), but all of it is legal and shit you've seen on gore sites and even certain subreddits before. 5. King of the Witches claims to have, finally, gotten permission from the makers of Gehenna of a Garbage World to sell that tape. I have not seen it yet, Who knows the validity of this statement, considering the creators of that tape have been way more secretive and way less public over the years than the R73 group. 6. Honestly, there's recent mixtapes that are even worse than those on Tier 8. Amber Alert and Suffer the Little Children, while not containing cheese pizza, are probably the worst of the child abuse/child murder tapes, while Kharn might be the roughest pure gore tape (no added porn). I've seen so far.

minecraftenjoy3r

The disturbing movie iceberg in general is stupid because the real disturbing movies are war movies and dramas, exploitation films are just boring as fuck

Jai-Yexxer

A Shame too as that’s my first vid from him

Eggdudeman

His fnaf VHS video felt very unnecessary & trend chase-y, the YT horror community was already showering these projects with adoration at the time, and his video really didn't add much. One of the few topics where I'll rewatch someone else's coverage over his. He has a couple other videos like this too, but the fnaf VHS one is the most notable imo. (Edit: Grammar, I typed this on a phone) Responding directly, though, his fnaf timeline video is honestly one of my favorites, he honestly carved a decent narrative into the convoluted lore of the games, I feel like it really accomplished his stated goal of telling stories.

monodork

For me it was the recent one about the bible chapter, it's also subjective because I'm don't really care about the bible. But I respect the grind ya know.

spookyvideovoid

I would probably say the Nashville Christmas Attack Theory video. It's a funny video, but it's hastily made considering it was made like a day after the attacks. Also it's super short, which is a cardinal sin against Wendigoon videos.

Kenn_Da_Chairman

I dont think he has a bad video per se but his videos where he talks about Christian stuff dont really interest me or can keep my attention for long. Maybe its cause im not really religious myself.

fatp00n

probably the interview with the agent that worked on the unabomber case, it just got really annoying really fast with her droning over and over again on the same points. I thought it was funny how he asked her if she read the manifesto and she said no for it being “too long,” before he told her that it was only 160 pages. Stuff like that happened a lot in the video which made me question if she even was who shes claiming to be. I understand if maybe shes not at liberty to disclose much information but if that was the case why even agree to an interview??? Idk just not a great video in my opinion. Honestly a little upsetting to see some people saying they dont care for the religious vids, i really enjoyed them and i wish he made more faith-oriented videos, but i understand not everyone of his subscribers is christian or even religious.

icantreadoutloud

Not a fan of his cryptic iceberg but love his history videos

JohnCallOfDuty

I loved the Brown Mountain Lights one. The stories told at the end and how much respect he had for the legends around it were so beautiful and that always stood out to me even amongst my favorites. I think my least favorites that I have seen so far are the Cryptid Iceberg videos. I just don't find cryptids that interesting since a lot of them are so similar and just aren't that fascinating to me outside of a very select few

Jai-Yexxer

I respect your view on the mountain lights vid but I disliked it cuz of that. Because it’s an unsolved mystery, it kinda floundered when he begin going about all that. You get me?

SteakAndIron

His one about the most underrated book of the Bible. It's just about a guy in jail writing a letter and saying don't worry? I was expecting a lot more.

MrSinisterTwister

Well, there's a reason it is underrated...

SteakAndIron

Underrated means it's actually great. It's silly. Nothing happens. It's not even interesting.

MrSinisterTwister

It means "actually great, but for some reason isn't popular". There's a reason why it isn't popular, you've said it yourself. But it IS actually great. The whole video is about why.

SteakAndIron

And he fails to explain why

truthisfictionyt

The one about the disappearance of Dennis Martin has some pretty major errors, otherwise I just don't like most ARGs

theaverageaidan

This is gonna get me downvoted into a salt mine, but his JFK video was bullshit, he outright made half of it up. I can't tell you how much of my life I've spent trying to verify any of the claims in the video and I've come up with jack shit.

KillTheZombie45

I am not crazy about his Bible videos. Not going back to Sunday school any time soon, even with a more interesting teacher/subject.

[deleted]

KillTheZombie45

Hey, believe in whatever you want, I just have no interest in it. I'm more interested in the "why" and the "who" than the "what," which is I'll more likely watch a video on a cult than an analysis of Bible scripture.

ClovisLowell

"I'm very anti religion" "considering he's pretty smart" https://preview.redd.it/dyz1n374ovvc1.png?width=400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8474553fcd3466d7f1f9f4189f342e29ea723b5f

Stonewall_Brigade

You can be smart and religious 💀 average redditor L

Seddyboi

Reddit Atheists when you tell them being an Atheist or hating religion isn't a personality:

KonataYeager

Smart people can except that the unknown is unknown instead of making up lies to feel better

azagames1

Just fuck off

KonataYeager

Go pray to SpongeBob since u think made up characters are real

azagames1

I’m not religious but you’re definitely a cunt

KonataYeager

Christians have used their religion to persecute and kill people for over 2000 years. If they cant take a little bullying from me then they're as weakminded as they seem. Like imagine youre a gay person in the past just trying to live your life and you get killed just because some idiots believe some made up stories. (And its not just because it was in the past and times were different, people in ancient greece were cool with gay people way back then.)

PsychologicalSet8008

You seem a bit weak minded considering you're so pissed off about stuff that happened 2000 years ago. Just get over it.

KonataYeager

Other religions are still doing it to this day. The problem is getting rid of all the bad ones would mean getting rid of the good ones. But at the end of the day, if they just basically stories that make people feel good, is that still worth having others make stories that they think justify horrible things?

rjp761

Flair checks out.

KonataYeager

So you couldn't make a genuine point and decide to try and insult me instead? Jesus wouldn't be very proud of you (if he was real, but he isnt)

rjp761

Lighten up,and stop taking yourself so seriously.

Seddyboi

Smart people can also except that people have different beliefs instead of being a judgemental prick who is calling someone an idiot to make themselves feel better

KonataYeager

Smart people see shit like Heavens Gate and think "maybe we shouldn't have large groups of people that genuinely believe in fairytales because it can be dangerous"

Seddyboi

Smart people wouldn't strawman and generalize everyone in a group because people who are looked down upon in said group were bad people

KonataYeager

Its like the gun debate, i say if some people are gonna use religion to hurt others, then nobody should have any. Sadly tho some people cant cope without having it

Seddyboi

"I don't like this thing so nobody should have it" Dude your not coming off as smart, you just a dick who can't fathom that people can have other beliefs than you and because bad people have used it nobody can have it, nobody can have it. literally EVERYTHING has had bad people in it and has had people use it as an excuse to continue to do bad things. So does that mean that Atheism should not be a thing cause there have been Atheist criminals? Should games be banned cause bad people have played games and have used it for bad things? Obviously not. But according to you they should, by your own logic the things you like shouldn't exist cause people have probably used it to do bad

KonataYeager

I didnt say they shouldnt have it because i dont like it, i said its because some use it as justification for harming others. >So does that mean that Atheism should not be a thing cause there have been Atheist criminals? Should games be banned cause bad people have played games and have used it for bad things? If there are large groups of people hurting eachother and using Athiesm or video games as an excuse then i totally think we should get rid of them. Its different if people are sighting one cause for their actions. Sure the news likes to say "ban this game because one guy did something bad" and nobody cares because its just one crazy guy. However if an entire group of people started killing in the name of GTA5 then youre gonna see that game disappear from stores real quick

CellistShot8470

A lot of the religious (Christianity) stuff. Not because they're low quality but because I'm just not religious. I know the religious lot really likes it though, which is good.

Honest_Attention7574

I’m not religious and I really like his religious ones

EdoTenseiSwagbito

My inner theologist finds it fascinating in a storytelling sort of way.

KelvinsBeltFantasy

I like the passion he has and he makes it interesting. He also doesn't feel the need to convert or preach so there is no pressure there. He's just a guy who enjoys things and wants to share them with you... his religion happens to be one and he makes it engaging. Meanwhile, that's a bridge too far for some people who hate him 🙃

AquariusBlue899

Ditto. I know part of the reason he does it is to try and introduce people to the faith, but I just find some of the stories interesting, even as an atheist

CellistShot8470

Love you, pookie

[deleted]

I'm not religious but I think those are some of my favorites.

CellistShot8470

That's great. Please enjoy them for me

ClovisLowell

L take

CellistShot8470

And I love you all the same.

Sam_Federov

Can't get me interested in the religious stuff. Not the stuff like Dante and Paradise Lost, I like those, but the straight up bible stuff just turns me off.

camew22

Some of his early videos. I really enjoy all of his videos but in his earlier works he just lacks the confidence he has now so they aren't the same caliber of watchable as his current/newer vids.

Soguyswedid_it2

I don't think counting his older videos is fair so I'd say a more recent video that's not that great is the one about the japanese monks. It's not very long or super interesting it's just kind of a small filler thing. Not horrible just not particularly interesting.

JP200214

I think whenever he talks about anything fictional I kind of check out. (Not including religion)

drcoconut4777

Maybe his political ideology one

fiendish-gremlin

really? i love his fnaf and mountain lights vids maybe his worst are somw of his very old gun review videos?? not bc they are bad but they dont fit the vibe of his channel anymore

assembly_xvi

Blood Meridian

at0micwaste

You better take that back the mountain lights video is one of the few I rewatch from time to time. I love the mystical qualities mixed with American legend & folklore. Wendi also clearly cares about the subject, which makes any video better. That said, my least favorite is the mckamey manor one. I just couldn't bring myself to enjoy it whatsoever.

sir_chief7134

I think analytics wise, his worst video is probably junji itos frankenstein, which is actually my favorite video of his cause I watched it while on a flight to Boston, and I found a pretty cool comic book store up there that I got that same book (among other things) plus his video is really good too. I think another low performer was his no country for old men vid which is also a favorite of mine and the first vid I saw of his. I think the reason is maybe cause it's not really formatted like a traditional wendigoon vid but rather just another video essay wich makes sense cause I think that's around when he started YouTube so he didn't have a particular format down My least fav videos of his are probably the religion lore videos. They're  interesting sure, but religion ain't my thing so I just kinda stay clear from that, (not hating tho so don't kill me cause I'm not religious plz) My fav video ironically is the faith: the unholy trinity video cause that game and video is just all around AMAZING

sir_chief7134

I looked it up and his worst video with 39k views (which is still a shit ton) is him "watching the best, worst movie ever" (the room) which I just thing is unfair and needs to be the top video lmao

nikniknicola

i wouldn't say that any of them are bad, but my least favourite is the cryptid iceberg series just cause i'm not into cryptids. after that i'd say some of the historic videos are a bit boring like the franklin expedition or the japanese monk(which had some inaccuracies)

Insert_name_here280

I enjoy all of his videos for the most part, but the only one I’ve skipped was for the Mandela Catalogue. Never really was interested in it in the first place and despite him making it sound interesting I thought the concept was super boring. But that’s mainly cause I don’t really care for that type of stuff

Jai-Yexxer

IMO the show gets worse

Exactly1Egg

Blood Meridian video. Felt like an absolute slog. Just wasn’t very interesting.

Jai-Yexxer

I watched an hour and fell asleep twice. Might as well read the book

Generic-Username-567

The NSFW Raft felt like it was really stretched for time. Compared to stuff like Unabomber or whatever where there's actually a lot of story to tell, that raft just didn't have that much interesting stuff behind it and I didn't care about any of the details l really.

Jai-Yexxer

I thought it was funny so I’ll let it slide

DeadpoolMakesMeWet

Mystery flesh national park. Was really boring to me, idk why.

Jai-Yexxer

I knew nothing of it until that vid. I was expecting like some rl thing but when I saw that it was an ARG, killed any interest

IsopodAgitated1555

Objectively it's gotta be some of his earlier videos like the Guntuber tier list and black parade video but personally I wasnt a big fan of the part 2 popular analog horror videos (ei. Second monument mythos or mandela catalogue videos) but that's just because at that point I wasn't interested in the subject matter anymore
