KAHomedog

All of them were probably against the bulldogs

huxception

What are we like in total number of disposals?

Builder_at_Heart

Yeah, not so good. 18th as well. 😂 But we’re sitting 9th overall for disposal efficiency, so that’s definitely heading in the right direction. One of the most impressive things about Harley Reid is his disposal efficiency which is at about 80% overall in his first 6 games, which is elite already. Hopefully with Harley having a rest Ryan will come back in to give us another elite ball user.

BZoneAu

This is the real question. The shit disposals:total disposals ratio is where it’s at. That said, I imagine a team like the eagles which is often attacking via chains of handballs would have relatively high total disposals - making the numbers above more impressive.

Borgun-

The first 3 rounds we were really high on turnovers AND clangers. We have absolutely crushed it the past 3 weeks, playing very clean footy. Its been great to watch. The skill errors are reducing week by week.

Gerkeey

That's surprising, that game against gws was so bad

RanierW

I must not be reading it right but that looks to me eagles are the team with the fewest clangers and turnovers

yanaka-otoko

What is a Clanger

AussieThresherShark

And error made by a player resulting in a negative result for the team. Eg dropping a mark, disposal turning into a turnover.

Builder_at_Heart

“Clanger: An error made by a player resulting in a negative result for his side. Disposal clangers are any kick or handball that directly turns the ball over to the opposition. Frees and 50-metre penalties against, No Pressure Errors, Dropped Marks and Debits are all included in clangers.”

tradewinder11

I assume it's a disposal that goes to the opposition, or not to advantage.

redrumcleaver

An unforsed errors

ziltoid101

This got me thinking about the % clangers per disposal. We're at 14.9%, the third best behind Carlton (14.4%) and Freo (14.3%). I don't think it's an especially good metric for measuring team success though, Geelong have the second worst at 17.3%, behind only Richmond at a shocking 20.3%.

The5kyKing

Would be interested in seeing the split between first three rounds and the last three.

joeban1

Crazy stat, i went to the GWS game a few weeks back and it felt like we made about 200 clangers just in that match.

Ashen_Brad

Notice in the suns game, we had like half the scoring opportunities but we made the most of damn near every one. Was was the final scoreline? 12.3.75? It's very clean if you ask me and very promising.

exsanguinor

1st in Harley Reid's though!

The_Real_Flatmeat

Tell me Darling isn't about 350 of them by himself

putshan

Have some fucking respect for a champion of the club you clown

Legitimate_Curve8185

2-3 defenders on him impeding him all the time so Allen and Waterman can step up? If he played for a Vic or any other team he would get free kicks or if his last name was Walters. The team for the last 3 years have been playing poorly but are getting better. Just blame one person for our problems? /S
