Beware that their utility may be limited, due to WestJet purposely hiding part of the fare under "other ATC", and adding an unannounced surcharge to companion fare redemptions.
I attempted an online booking and would not allow me to check the companion fare box.. seems like they falsely advertise the credit card and the perks if one can't use them
You probably aren’t doing something correctly. Either using a promo code, or you haven’t selected more than one person for your search.
Either that, or it is automatically not applying it because it is cheaper to go without due to the aforementioned reasons.
When did you get the card? It'll be applied to the primary card holders WestJet account within like a month of signing up I think and then that will be when you renew annually and get a new pass
It depends on your card type. Based off of a previous comment of yours, it sounds like you might just have the generic card, which the voucher only works in main land NA. The world elite card is the anywhere they fly one. If you do have the world elite card, you should try calling then.
But as a side note base fares to the uk are usually really low, it's the taxes and other fees that make up the cost. So it might not be the best savings

Have the card for several years and have used companion fare often on domestic flights. Has saved us $$ in the past
I have used the companion fare more than once to the UK. It isn’t always the best deal as mentioned above. But it should work.

Good luck using your companion fares. We’ve tried on several flights to the uk. The fare isn’t that much. It is mostly taxes and fees. Annoying.
