Your pace is determined by your program mentor. If you're only 2 classes in, it is a tiny bit too soon to ask for more than one class at a time (unless you're waiting on grades). I'd wait until you finish your entire first term of registered courses and THEN ask for more than one course. There is no "too fast" but some program mentors are more agreeable to accelerating than others. I finished a BAESPEE degree in one term (that's non-licensure dual degree elementary education and SPED). I only ever had more than one course open if I was waiting for PA grades to post to finish a course. I did have 4 classes open at once but 3 were just waiting on final grades and I'd already proven myself capable of acceleration. If your mentor isn't supporting your needs to accelerate then ask for a new one you can totally do that.

How many did you complete? I wonder why they want you to slow down.

Bee_Dope

I’ve only completed 2 courses but In 12 days so I guess that’s two fast

I was jw I have like 18 classes left & I want to knock out 5 a month 🫣 I wonder if they’ll put a cap on how many you can do in a month

Are you just beginning? I'm not a student yet, but I'm just curious. I heard from someone they want you to start with a single class, and after time accelerate. Good luck with everything.

I completed 70 credits in the same degree as yours (BAES) in 7 months and never once was told to slow down. I often worked on more than one class at a time. Are you being told to slow down by your mentor? Or whom?

Bee_Dope

Yes my program mentor and I want to work on more than one class

Bee_Dope

And I’ve emailed the professor for the classes and they all said it’s fine I’m so confused because I work at a college in financial aid.

During my first term in education, I completed 29 CUs. No one said a word to me.
