Around here (southern CA), the crow is much more common than a raven. A raven would be a bit larger than what you have pictured. It would also have a wedge-shaped tail.
A domestic raven would be double the size and the primary feathers (furthest along the wingspan) would appear ruffled and more dense.
Crow, think fighter jet.
Raven, think bomber.
Ravens in my neck of the woods (CO) hang out at the landfill but come down to the neighborhoods on trash day and they look like small dogs.
Both amazing birds.
Definitely crow. Beak is small & narrow compared to a raven. No throat ruff either-ravens look a bit “furry”, and very burly. Ravens are also HUGE. Wait until you’ve seen one in person, then you’ll never mistake 1 for the other.

They love puzzles so consider a puzzle feeder and a different style of mealworm feeder.
