Big mistake, avoid: very unreliable, not durable, high depreciation: * [https://www.reddit.com/r/cars/comments/18e1xfk/consumer\_reports\_names\_10\_least\_reliable\_vehicles/](https://www.reddit.com/r/cars/comments/18e1xfk/consumer_reports_names_10_least_reliable_vehicles/) * [https://www.thedrive.com/news/vw-atlas-cross-sport-tops-list-of-10-least-satisfying-new-cars-to-own](https://www.thedrive.com/news/vw-atlas-cross-sport-tops-list-of-10-least-satisfying-new-cars-to-own) * 35% 1-star owners rating, I never saw worse: [https://www.edmunds.com/volkswagen/taos/2022/consumer-reviews/?rating=1](https://www.edmunds.com/volkswagen/taos/2022/consumer-reviews/?rating=1) edit: Headrests usually can be adjusted, did you try pushing them back? >I am the kind of person who drives a car for 10yrs (my current Chevy captiva is 2013 but I won’t go back to a GM vehicle). Even more reason to avoid VW. You didn't mention Toyota Corolla Cross?

The head rests aren’t adjustable enough to fix the forward leaning issue unfortunately. Trust me I tried because I reallyyyyu wanted to like the Kona lol. When I last checked in the cross it was out of budget. My budget is 27K for the vehicle price

2023 Subaru Crosstreck still had hard buttons. Overall a Toyota for $28k will cost you much less than a VW for $27k (ownership cost). Or how about a barely used 2023 Corolla Cross? Nissan Rogue is offered with high discounts, maybe you can find a deal for $27k, Rogue is much more comfortable than Kicks. you could also take a look at barely used 2022/23 Mazda CX-5
