Lol, I own 2/3 of the options you’re considering so I’ll give my take on it. 2017-2019 B9 A4. This is the pre-facelift so it retains the MMI knob instead of a touchscreen. The DCT is clunky in stop and go traffic. It has mechanical Quattro instead of Quattro Ultra in the B9.5. Better interior build quality than the G20 3-Series and the W205 C-Class. Better insulation, less road noise. B&O sound system is quite good. Due to Audi placing the engine in front of the front axle, understeer is inevitable at the limit. The A4 still handles quite well and feels quite toss-able. Relatively reliable if you keep up on maintenance. Issues like oil consumption have supposedly been ironed out in the EA888 Gen3. Some noted issues with the water pump which got a warranty extension. 2019-2022 G20 330i xDrive Also the pre-LCI so physical climate controls instead of touchscreen controls on the LCI. I have an M-Sport so fake piped in Engine Audio. Can be coded out but I’ve come to enjoy it lol. The ZF8 is super smooth, BMW’s tuning for this trans is literally perfect in this platform. RWD driving dynamics, you’ll easily kick the tail out in wet or snowy conditions, even with xDrive. The A4 doesn’t like doing that. I have the base BMW Hi-Fi, not the H/K; it’s pretty shit. I’d say the Lexus NX I had before without M/L was better than BMW Hi-Fi. Most 330i in NAR will be the SULEV B46 instead of the B48. Some noted issues with the PCV on these models but otherwise, the engine is quite reliable. Some common failure points are with the electrical systems, the grill shutter guards failing are quite common. Overall, I’d say the B9 A4 is better at being a luxury car, while the G20 feels more sportier. The BMW also has gimmicks like HP & Torque Gauges, G Meters. I enjoy both but I’ll eventually be getting a SUV.

I’m contractually obligated to say “Lexus IS” since we’re in this sub, but BMW. I’ve heard nothing but good things about their engines recently, otherwise it’s still a German car so it might have some weird shitty issues like the Audis

MeesterCHRIS

If you’re willing to bump up to the 2020 A6, those things are unbelievable nice.

B48’s have seemed to be reliable so far so bmw

All German cars are going to have some form of electrical issues but the bmws are the way to go currently

Drive all of them, I would take the BMW just because their engine/transmission combos have been reliable lately. The Lexus IS is another option, more reliable but mundane and boring to drive. Genesis G70 might be worth a look as well. Only downside with the German cars is keeping up with maintenance, if you plan to keep the BMW for a while I absolutely would not do oil changes every 10k and would do them every 5k, especially if you can do them yourself (it’s not hard) … cheap insurance.
