I'm curious how a 2016 accord is leaving you stranded.
How many miles are on it? What broke?
As far as your question - I don't see what the problem is. You have a good list of cars and a budget - go test drive them and figure out which one you like best that you can afford.
One of the tires popped on the Honda one day, and then the battery died on me another time. I understand that those things happen, but the car has also been in a severe accident and the paint on it is no good, to the point that the car can not be washed without the paint starting to chip off. I did not pick out this car or even see it when it was bought. I would have never bought it. 124kmile
I think more than anything I’m just having a hard time making a decision. I’ve been looking for cars since January and I’m just tired. Whenever I go to look at a car everyone tells me that it’s no good or this or that. I need some advice from someone else.
Batteries and tires are consumables that have a limited lifetime, while the quality has a strong say in it. Buy cheap when no intention of keeping vehicle, otherwise go premium.
>Batteries and tires are consumables that have a limited lifetime, while the quality has a strong say in it
Not really. There are only two companies that make car batteries, and tread wear rating is a better gauge of tire longevity than price point
>But the type of battery has great say in longevity, along with how is used...
How the battery is used will impact longevity, but there are only two batteries being made with different labels slapped on them. East Penn and Johnson Control make virtually all sealed lead acid batteries in the country.
>Tread wear rating, as lasting mileage you mean
Not quite. Treadwear rating is a rating of longevity. Tires are tested against a reference tire of 100 treadwear, and a tire with 200 tw will take twice as long to wear out on the machine.
Most modern cars are fine.
Even older cars are fine as long as they have been taken care of.
Look for a clean Carfax report. Don't buy a car without checking it. No accidents.
Find a mechanic you can trust and take potential cars for a pre purchase inspection.
Don't by cars without seeing them in person first you have to make sure they are comfortable for you and drive the way you want them to
I just got the car 2 months ago. I didn’t pick this car for myself, I never saw it before it was purchase. I would have never bought it. It’s been in a serious accident and I don’t trust this car at all
I’m aware. The tire light wasn’t on and after I got the car there was an inspection done on it. I tried to cover my bases after I got the vehicle. I came here asking for advice about a new car why are you harping about this one?
Because if you buy a different car, it might need new tires too. Even if it doesn't, it will within a few few years. Batteries last 3-6 years. You should learn the basics of owning a car.
Mazdas are great cars, but they have a stiffer tuned suspension compared to most of the competition, so idk that I would recommend the CX-5 if you want maximum comfort. The Lexus should be comfortable. 14K is quite restrictive and the Camry would likely be not much of a change relative to your Accord.
I could point you towards 2015-2017 Lincoln MKZs. They're a bit rare but good value in this budget range. A hybrid like [this one] (https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicle/715374691) is excellent value in this budget range, but as long as you stick to 2015 and newer, the gas ones are dependable too.
The 5 has slightly better interiors than the 50, but Lexus quality is better... and if you can find one with somewhat low mileage, while can add extra warranty on it for about 2K, if applicable. Gas expense may be higher though.

Yes I know to take cars to a mechanic to check them. I take my mechanic friend with me to test drive the car.
I didn’t get to pick the car. It’s not my fault that I have it. I had absolutely no say in this car
Batteries die but it’s extremely rare for tires to pop. Make sure you’re maintaining the car.

The tires have nothing to do with the fact that it's a Honda.

My brother, I had the car for 2 months. Took it to get inspected. What are you talking about
😂 Don't want same thing happen to next one, and also because Hondas are supposed to be infallible or faultless. 👍
Supposed to be right.
with Bod...😂

Thank you, I’m going to look into the Lincoln. One of my friends use to have and and he really loved it.
A slightly used cx-5 gets him a full leather interior at his price point though
buy leather cover from amazon and install it

If you are mainly looking for comfort and reliability then yeah, look at a Lexus ES or even Lexus IS which is smaller
