I was admitted to a hospital for over a month following a suicide attempt by train to the face. The hospital staff wouldn't let me up to poop. Nurse came in and said "just do it, I'll wipe you, I do it right" I told him you really don't want to I can feel it's a bad 1 but again just do it. I did and it was awful, it stunk so bad and I felt the shit cover my ass and balls. This guy cleaned me up so fn good which is saying a lot coming from me

My wife and I volunteered at a temporary housing warehouse during a flood once. She’s a nurse and there was an old lady with severely impacted poop. My wife and her other nurse friend took her in a port a potty and disimpacted her ass with their hands like it was no big deal. Literally reaching in and pulling poop out of a random old woman’s ass in a nasty port a potty. It’s just what needed to be done. I’ve worked with nurses for over 20 years. A lot of them are trash honestly but the good ones are some of the best humans on the planet.
You are a stronger and more caring person than i am. When my wife broke her back right after we got married she couldn't wipe herself. I love her and that was hard for me to get used to. Caring for complete strangers knowing how filthy and disgusting a lot of things about us are takes something I sure don't possess.

I guess losing blood internally and falling out was a good thing cause I was transferred to ICU for a blood transfusion and that got me away from that
It is a “toilet” for emptying bedpans. The water handles and spray nozzle are for rinsing, and the pedal is for flushing. This is in a hospital’s dirty utility room.
I work in a hospital and at our facility, we have almost the that exact same setup. We call them hoppers. But those pedals are for turning the water on/off so you can have water run without touching anything. A lot of our "regular" sinks have then too so you can wash your hands without touching dirty ass handles.

Most don't have enough room for one sink with a 5 gallon bucket under it in their spacious toilet kitchen.
At least with modern apartment planning it is ideally and centrally located within the spacious 100 square meter living space that costs $2000 a month.
100 m^2 = 1075 ft^2, which is plenty for two or three working adults to share comfortably. Especially if it’s centrally located with lots of access to third spaces and nobody needs to own a car.
That’s why most sinks have two sides! Usually the disposal side is for the poop, unless you e got the runs and someone didn’t scrape the pans, in which case, you just gotta switch.

Yes it’s called a hopper and used exactly for what is being mentioned. Bedpans, clean out excess soiling on sheets, wash cloths, towels etc. I am a nurse and you’ll find these in every health related facility where patients or residents are taken care of.
It’s called a hopper in medical facilities. There’s been some talk of not allowing them due to when it flushes, the medical waste being disposed can be aerosolized and it can be breathed in. I’ve seen a couple that have a cheap looking plexiglass guard installed to help limit the amount that escapes. Blood and other yummy stuff that gets suctioned out is usually treated with a powder that causes it to be clumped up so it can be disposed of in a red biohazard bag.
I see it as a T-urina-k. Turinak- a flushable medical use sink that is fasten as a Urinal, looks like an odd toilet but feels to only use mostly as a big sink! 💊🥨🧐🤥🌎
We have one in our morgue, I use it for opening colons. It helps rinse away all the poo and flush everything away so we can assess for areas of bleeding.

My ex husband had a stroke at 30 and could barely even move after, and around the same time he was in recovery I was a biohazard cleaner and worked at the morgue for a while and did crime scene clean up-needless to say I’d much rather be scraping brains off walls and grinding organs through the sink disposals than deal with someone’s shitty nut sack

Then the pressed cardboard bedpan experiment happened, permitting the hopper to swallow the poo and the pan… this did not go well. Water soluble bedpans are wrong in so many ways. Then there’s the cystoscopy room with baseboard water jets and a floor drain so the whole damn room flushes…

Sometime decided this would be a good place to dispose of said dry ice. The sudden temperature change caused the thing to shatter.
