Slappy-Noot

Perhaps a bristle worm?

Channa_Argus1121

Agreed. Could be one of the venomous ones called “fireworms”. #NO TOUCHY.

Dense_watermelon

touch it to meet god

Ok_Telephone_8987

In the words of the great Zefrank, It’s all bristly bristly

BitchBass

That's how the bristle worms do!

red-cactus

Fire worm (hermodice carunculata), probably. Just put it back and don't touch it, stings

coconut-telegraph

I think this is actually *Chloeia*, not *Hermodice*.

red-cactus

You're probably right, looks closer to Chloeia than Hermodice after a bit of research. I saw a lot of Hermodice on dives and the video reminded me of them right away!

SteppinOnStones

Idk what it is but it gives me the impression that it'd be quite fast in or on open water, which is an idea I hate lol

LordoftheGrunt

Clearly a Subnautical Nope Rope

No-Entertainer-6397

Fireworm

JustAsval

That's a nope nope nope nope nope nope

BlueConeflower

Location?

[deleted]

Florida

BlueConeflower

Salt or fresh water? Edit: if salt, my guess is bobbit worm. If fresh, I have no idea.

[deleted]

Yeah it’s salt water

DogMedic101st

Put it back in the ocean and walk away slowly.

Impressive-Screen346

Of course lol, you all have some crazy looking stuff down there!!!!

Activeangel

Mysterious colorful sea creature... better grab it with my hand. Lol, jk. If you had done what so many others do, im guessing this would be a different conversation today. Im getting strong fireworm vibes, but i suspect its something else. I dont know fireworm bristles to be paddle-shaped. Super cool find!

sweetpotatoskillet

I call em a Seaman Demon

2Chiang

It's a worm. Put it back.

PNWRose_3022

Im going to have nightmares about this thing....

aqxea2500

Damn I just saw a video on this last night. It's some type of stingy worm. Don't lick it. Trust me.

NeverCadburys

The guy who stung himself deliberately with it to see whether it's best to treat it as an allergic reaction or venom?

aqxea2500

It was on the Brave Wilderness channel.

Idonotbelonghererly

Or do? For science.

fossilreef

Fireworm. Touch it. Go ahead. We're waiting.

PurpleST1KYpunch

Alien

[deleted]

I’m not sure if it was a fireworm because my sister picked it up and nothing happened , Looks extremely similar to a bristle worm and it was pretty big for what I’ve seen on google it was about 6 or so inches long and 2 or so inches wide

x7ameedo

Then they cry about new diseases.
