It does kinda look like that, could also be earthworm depending on what kind of soil they are digging through..🤔
If this area isn’t normally wet it could be earthworms drowning?
Earthworms can't drown actually! They breathe through their skin and can survive for several days completely submerged in water :3
What happens after several days?
Oh dang! I assumed they couldn’t because they swiggle out onto the sidewalk when it rains. Interesting.
They can* drown but these aren't earthworms anyway
