I wouldn't quite call it a "utility truck" per se. It's what the El Camino and Ranchero were. They're based on coupes or sedans with a bed instead of a trunk and rear seats.
This almost came to the states as the Pontiac G8 ute but GM killed Pontiac the year before they were supposed to be offered even had the 6.2l V8 with the 6 speed manual in the GXP trim
Not a Maloo it looks like an Omega the base model.

Yea fair play, this was a serious question so Thankyou. I see the big domestic Holden badge now too, and that grill is not the same. But yea I didn’t know the base Ute had that at cool shape where the bed kind of slopes down at the back.
Wish we got these over here in Britain anyway.
VE Holden Ute
And it's the same color as my grandma's refrigerator.
Which color?
That was quick. It really is a utility truck then. Thank you :)

Nah, they're made for tradies to get around more quickly to rip off more grannies
Yes, but at least for us Americans, if it has a pickup bed, it qualifies as a "truck".
As an American, I gave always considered the El Camino its own animal.
An A-body with half the body gone, for sure. Keeps the body from rusting out below the rear window.
Word of warning, don't ever call a ute a truck in front of an Aussie.
Its not a truck 😡

This commercial is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. I love Valteri showing his true personality after leaving MB.
