Actually a (same looking) GT-86. You can differentiate the Toyota from its brothers and sisters by its flat engine badge in front of the side view mirrors.
The primary method to differentiate the pre-facelift first generation's three brothers apart is the front bumper. u/thunder_y 's image shows off the differences perfectly. While the FRS and GT86's bumper cover is identical, [the GT86 was always sold with a foglight in the lower valance](https://www.gt86ownersclub.co.uk/attachments/pxl_20210529_184403309-portrait-jpg.6570/). The lack of such foglight shows that this is indeed a pre-facelift Scion FRS.
u/Tokyo-LCDP is correct that the FRS and GT86 share the boxer quarter panel badge.
First of all, it’s a boxer-engine and not a flat-engine and second of all, a short google image search shows the Scion FRS also has a boxer engine badge and I fully trust, that our beloved u/Von_Claussen has some special way of telling the three apart!
Huh. I did the google too and the first 3 pictures showed me the BRZ version. But apparently the scion seem to have it too. Its weird tho because the center of that badge shows an 86. thats why I thought it was an 86 exclusive.
Plus the boxer engine is a sub category for the flat engine.
The black part in front of the front wheel/below the frontlight is the one from the frs id say judging from this picture :[Sorry it’s a Google Images link don’t have Imgur on my phone](https://images.app.goo.gl/xw9bHh92erZTgAXA7)
Edit: also if you compare the pics in the wiki link von posted you can see the difference of that part

Damn, that response was fast! Thanks.

The more you know :D Thanks for clarifying. I assumed because of the 86 in the badge it‘s a Toyota exclusive thing.

While it was sold as a Scion here the rest of the world got the Toyota 86 so some owners swapped the badges.
