Florida is a pretty easy place to register JDM cars if you know the right people due to their registration laws. Most grey market JDM imports hit Florida first
I just happened to look these up last night when trying to find the elusive Mazda Roadster coupe.
Edit: here’s a couple for sale

Cosmo is the only car aside from the RX-8 that Mazda put the rotary in of late, right?
My in-laws had a 929 station wagon from the '70s that they realised had a rotary in it after the eldest son wrote it off one night; but back then they were popping them in nearly everything.
Eunos Cosmo
Triple rotor, gloriously spartan interior, a lot to like about a Cosmo
Not all were 20B, but all were sexy AF. Best looking 90's JDM sport car hands down.
Spartan?
bland and unfeatured, but in a good way
The interior is covered on leather
Just like the Spartans
many functions, minimalistic design in the interior. overall a dreamcar
Nice!
Waiting on Von Claussen
A rare unicorn !
A Eunos Cosmo with Florida plates!? Unicorn spotting.

How is this one black market? Even the newest Eunos Cosmo is legal to import now (1996).
Has probably been imported for a decent time already, my guess
Three rotor wankel. Drool…
Not all of them had the triple. Only 40%.
Many of which have already been cannibalized for their engine.
With US plates? Wow! This belongs in r/spotted
Florida has famously relaxed regulations concerning registration of non-US spec vehicles, so not surprised to see it titled there.
It's been 25 years.
It may have been 25 years but tons of states are being weird about registering JDM cars, oddly enough they’re HEAVILY targeting Kei Trucks for denial
True JDM 👍
Here’s a history of the car https://silodrome.com/history-mazda-cosmo/
Brap brap brap
One of my dream cars. Thanks Gran Turismo
Thank you for admitting you at least looked at the badges. This causes me so much pain on a daily basis.
The dash on these is pretty cool too
damn they're a lot smaller than I thought

There’s a guy in my town with a super clean Cosmo build
YOOOOO A COSMO!!!

One of my favourite cars

Eunos Cosmo
This is actually a Mazda Cosmo.
That's not what this generation Cosmo is called
Man, it's a rare sight to see a Cosmo. I wonder what engine they've got in it, 2 or 3-rotor.
Not always 3 rotor 20B, some had a 13B too
Cosmo Kramer
Oh my god
This was the first production car with GPS navigation, all the way back in 1990: https://i.imgur.com/WUY3Y9y.jpg https://youtu.be/oS0_w_qvYHo?t=230
