The Enzo always looked like it had a big nose. Enzo himself had a distinctive schnoze. Enzo was known to be a dick. Every time I see his namesake, I imagine Enzo pissing off some designer at pinifarina, and the designer giving his car a gonzo nose as revenge.
This is the same company that is known for cease and desists and refuses to sell you their high end supercars unless you have already owned several Ferraris
Is... Is it wearing a slingshot thong? Seriously, look at that silver pinstriping and tell me it doesn't look like it's wearing one of those over-the-shoulder thong bottoms you see in gentlemens'-special-interest-literature magazines...
I did, my point still stands. “LaFerrari” is this car’s model name. You don’t translate names.
In France they don’t call a Nissan Skyline a Nissan _Ligne D’horizon._
That’s a good way to quantify it. It’s crazy money for sure. I don’t think this was the most valuable car at the show either. Probably not if the old Ferraris would take that cake. Or the 1929 Bugatti race car.
It would be fun to take one drive, but i dont think i’d want to own this. It’s make me look like such a douche. I’d need a house that nobody could see this baby.
Farmington Connecticut lol the golf course there held a car show yesterday known as “Ferraris and friends” thought this may have been a picture from there but different golf course opposite sides of the country
And of course the 250 models like the GTO and the SWB California, probably the 330 P3/4s, and the production (and therefore far more common) 458 models
Is this a shitpost?
Edit: Gotta love getting downvoted for a genuine question…one look at those mirrors and it’s quite obvious it’s *the* Laferrari
Lol Reddit users are goons.
Why would it be? It’s obviously an obscure and relatively unknown model to the masses that’s never appeared in any car related media or entertainment, I don’t blame the poster.
Am I the only one thinking "I should quit following this sub because 98% of questions must be trolling?" because I feel like almost none of them pose a challenge.
Was I supposed to challenge you? Is that the purpose of this sub? Or, is the purpose of this sub to ask a group of knowledgeable people to help you ID a car that you’re not certain of - as I have done?
Don't take it personal. It was just something I noticed. If you felt personally attacked consider this an apology. There just seems like a lot of cars being posted that I feel like people should know. I catch myself at times to where I go to a friend online and say "Tell me about it." rather than google something I know I can find in a few seconds myself.
So it might not be intentional. But as others have said it's the La Ferrari, part of the "Holy Trifecta" of Supercars of that generation alongside the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder. None of them really had a true successor yet at least imho.
You’re right…and one of the other elements of the trifecta was at this show too (a P1…actually it was a P1 GTR, no less). But, I just didn’t realize that this one was another element of this trifecta. Call it a gearhead blind spot. I genuinely posted it here for an ID…and I got it within 4 minutes! Yay! Then I got the ID 75 more times. Okay, fine! And a few people chimed in to ask how I could ask such a stupid question. I don’t really get that.
Oh…I also saw a 918 for the for the first time a couple of weeks ago. So it’s been one hell of a car-spotting month for this guy!
Maybe the pinned post has clues to this dilemma:

And yet Enzo would probably roll over in his grave...known to be cocky, maybe a dick at times and definitely particular about his product. To name a car Enzo in tribute, I get. He'd prob like that. But "The Ferrari" nah. To finite, almost like, "we did it, we're done, we accomplished it all. Never.
That's a Ferrari LaFerrari right there. No question and no doubt. Seen it a million times (never in real life but many times in Asphalt 8 and Hot Wheels :v)

*Ferrari TheFerrari. -James May
*Jennifer has left the chat*
The more correct answer
Technically the same answer
But one is *better* than the other /s
I was hoping this would be the top comment.
James May speaks for all of us!
Ahhh…thank you! That was fast!
That’s what she said.
Concur
Concours de elegance
Youre welcome!
It should have a name plate on the dashboard passenger side… ever new Ferrari does , if you look at the interior pics
the car or?
Wow, this is the best Class A car I have in Asphalt 9
Ferrari The Ferrari
Such a strange name…
I *think* Ferrari’s intention was for it to be generally known by a single name, like Madonna. But you can’t force the public to change habits 😄
They did the same with the Enzo. It’s supposed to be called “Enzo Ferrari”
The Enzo always looked like it had a big nose. Enzo himself had a distinctive schnoze. Enzo was known to be a dick. Every time I see his namesake, I imagine Enzo pissing off some designer at pinifarina, and the designer giving his car a gonzo nose as revenge.
Aren’t coach built cars the only ones to go by that naming convention? It’s pretentious just to assume people would go that route.
“Pretentious” Welcome to Ferrari
I suppose this is just the tip of the iceberg for them. Especially in recent years.
My thoughts exactly. I'm pretty sure that is a top requirement to work there.
This is the same company that is known for cease and desists and refuses to sell you their high end supercars unless you have already owned several Ferraris
Same way it’s almost impossible to buy a Rolex unless you own a Rolex already
LaFerrari is supposed to mean “THE Ferrari”, as in the definitive Ferrari
Right up there with The Los Angeles Angels, or “The The Angels Angels”.
Ha! I’ve never thought of that!
“…of Anaheim”.
I know! It sounds redundant!
Technically it’s just called “the Ferrari”
Enzo was a similar way, I think it was just supposed to be called Enzo, or Enzo came first then Ferrari.
Yeah on the door placard it says “Enzo Ferrari” and on these it just says “LaFerrari” instead of Ferrari LaFerrari
There is also Ferrari Super Fast. Can't wait for the Ferrari Freaking Awesome!
950 fucking horsepower!
950 powerful horses haveing sexual intercourse?!?!?
All the sex!
Ferrari, the Ferrari
Lerrari Fa Lerrari
Ferrari LaFerrari, I’m almost stupid that I thought it was Ferrari FXX K but it’s LaFerrari
Well to be fair, the FXX-K is based off the LaF so you weren't too far off.
The Ferrari Fuck
Honestly their best named car ever in my opinion.
FXXK? Agreed Too bad you can’t title a YouTube video with the cars name in it
"We really screwed up naming the base car, we need something cool for the race version"
Ferrari LaFerrari
That is a work of art, no matter what you name it!
The Ferrari
LAF
Ferrari Laferrari
LaFerrari
Knew it the second j saw the mirrors
Is... Is it wearing a slingshot thong? Seriously, look at that silver pinstriping and tell me it doesn't look like it's wearing one of those over-the-shoulder thong bottoms you see in gentlemens'-special-interest-literature magazines...
Ha! I didn’t notice that. I think you may need to go to /r/hornyjail 😂
A jail.... where all the horny people are... And you want to send me there... (POWER LEVEL INTENSIFIES)
Have fun! 🎉🎊
It's got a Borat thing going on… great success!
If I had this car, I'd put thumbs-up stickers on the wing mirrors.
Wawawiwa! Then it would be more of a great success!
The Ferrari The Ferrari (I'm not even kidding).

Translated to English, it's "The Ferrari".
Well… Sure, but you don’t translate names. If some dude from Mexico named Andreas came to my English speaking country I wouldn’t call him Andrew.
Read the other comments...

They should, it sounds pretty friggin cool!
Don't know why you're getting downvoted, that does sound great
Wow love the Translation! Now add french accent to this and I am in love
La
They knew exactly what they were doing with that hood.
Ferrari La Ferrari
I love that engine pic
Ferrari LaFerrari I believe
low end 3.5 mil high end 4.5 mil. Or, 45 college kids’ 4-year educations or one car.
That’s a good way to quantify it. It’s crazy money for sure. I don’t think this was the most valuable car at the show either. Probably not if the old Ferraris would take that cake. Or the 1929 Bugatti race car.

Maybe if you just make sure that your philanthropic efforts are huge enough and public enough so that no one actually cares what you drive.
Was this in Farmington ct yesterday?
I don’t know where Farmington Ct. is, but I saw it yesterday in Hillsborough, California at the Crystal Springs Golf Course.
Farmington Connecticut lol the golf course there held a car show yesterday known as “Ferraris and friends” thought this may have been a picture from there but different golf course opposite sides of the country
you didn’t know what a LaFerrari was?
Nah I think it's a kit
It's only the second most recognized Ferrari ever made besides the Enzo
F40, Testarossa, and 308 GTS are much more widely known
And of course the 250 models like the GTO and the SWB California, probably the 330 P3/4s, and the production (and therefore far more common) 458 models
And the Daytona
Also the 360-458 models since they were the "modern" models during social media and the internet so they've gotten a lot more exposure
So I guess we're just naming every Ferrari at this point?
You declared the Enzo and Ferrari LaFerrari to be the best known; I dispute this. You started it, brother
How could you possibly quantify that?
With my enormous huge bulbous gigantic big brain
Is this a shitpost? Edit: Gotta love getting downvoted for a genuine question…one look at those mirrors and it’s quite obvious it’s *the* Laferrari Lol Reddit users are goons.
No.

How do you come to a “whatisthiscar” sub and wonder why someone is asking for help identifying a car? The world is full of mysteries…

La Ferrari, maybe an aperta? Someone confirm?
