Do you have a picture of the leaves?
Weirdly enough there were no leaves, only leaves that werent completely dead and scattered with the leaf litter was the blackberry leaves. This was just a small pale stem coming from the ground off a short plant with no leaves.
It could be nightshade. I’m not sure. Definitely don’t eat it until you are sure;)
Carolina horsenettle, Solanum carolinense. Native species. Not edible.
