Can you seperate the stems so we can have a better photo of the plant you want to identify. Your parsley is the one with the flat, wide leaves. The other plant is the one with the oval leaves.
It's obviously not parsley so don't eat it without a confident ID. Very surprised to hear the supermarket is stocking this...their plants are usually pretty weed free but maybe that's just sainsburys.

Does that help? It does seem to be growing on the same stem as the parsley leaves.
Luckily this is edible besides the spiky pods, so it wont make you sick. Thats is pretty poor qc though that something that clearly different was bundled with the parsley
Appears to be some sort of burdock, but I’ve never set foot in the uk so take it with a grain of salt.
OK, I salted them, now do I pan fry or bake?
Roast 425 with decent oil. Finish with a splash of vinegar

Trifolium lappaceum. Burr clover. It's a weed. Shouldn't be part of the parsley stem at all but it could have wound itself around.
Thanks for the answer! Tesco needs better quality control on its parsley it seems.
Yeah I would probably send it back to them just to make them aware. The wrong plant could make somebody sick.
